Delightful stay over Christmas. It was THE hotspot in the neighbourhood on Christmas Eve and then out was jumping until 1.30 am which was not too great. But everything else was perfection with the most wonderful blend of professionalism tempered with charm friendliness and helpfulness. The breakfast served by Kate included fresh fruit salad and homemade yoghurt, sourdough toast and excellent coffee as well as various kinds of croissants and nothing was too much trouble.

It was all lovely so I can’t find anything bad to say.

Attentive and friendly staff like seeing old friends, despite it being a pub it was really quiet. Bar staff understood my allergen and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Food was lovely I ate here all five nights I stayed. Loved the atmosphere of the pub, residents were friendly and liked a good chat. It’s great to see a pub so lively after Covid.

The loudness of the room doors closing. As soon as they closed it woke me up during the night. Maybe some slow release door mechanisms.

The breakfast buffet was terrific. I could have a different one every day. The bread, fruit, yogurt, etc. was fresh and high quality. The room was small but well laid-out. Abundant, modern electric connections. Clean. Roof terrace nice.

Bathroom very cramped. No hooks for towels. Shower very tight, slippery floor, no grab handle, no place to put soap or shampoo. Mattress not firm enough. Stairs narrow. In the generally superior breakfast, coffee was mediocre.

This old-fashioned London pub has very smart, contemporary rooms above. We chose it because our family live nearby so the location was paramount. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We arrived on Quiz Night which didn't bother us because rooms over a pub will inevitably not be silent so we'd brought our own earplugs. The quiz sounded good fun and on a different occasion we might have liked to join in. Open fire in the bar a lovely sight

One of us couldn't modulate the temperature in the shower so the water was very hot indeed.

Loved staying at the Rose and Crown! The staff was very helpful and kind. The young gentleman checking us in was super friendly. So was Kate the manager, with whom I had a lovely chat at breakfast! We felt very welcomed. We loved the location, very close to a beautiful park, plus it was super quiet at night. Our room was big and comfortbale. Great breakfast and coffee! The accomodation had amazing ambience. Definetly looking forward to our next visit!

Highlight was being looked after by Kate at breakfast time, although the continental breakfast offering was poor compared to the lovely cooked breakfasts we used to enjoy some years ago when we stayed here more regularly. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely modernised bathroom, although we struggled somewhat from too much heat from a faulty radiator. All in all we felt that the Rose and Crown, accommodation wise, had lost some of its charm compared to the past ( although they are lucky to have Kate as the ‘face’ of the establishment.)

personal attention and friendliness of staff. Boutique style in traditional pub building and hospitality. Self-service breakfast. Location, street view, bus-stop. Ironing facility. Roof terrace

Single room was a bit small. Especially bathroom. Shower floor a bit slippery and no grip rail in shower. but I used a towel as mat inside shower. Two flights of stairs to room , hand rails on most stairs, but not on roof terrace steps. But staff helped me with luggage.,

Great atmosphere. The old timey Pub the property is built around is so cosy and lively in the evenings. It has been a pleasure sitting next to the fireplace at breakfast, the old flagstones under foot, as well as in the evenings with a nice pint of beer and decent pub food. The staff was lovely and helpful, even on the busiest of evenings. The rooms are perfectly fine, too.

The bedroom was delightful. Very accurate photos, and everything was very clean and the huge bed very comfortable! Loved the big and open bathroom, big windows, great cupboard space, and I wouldn't have expected AC but it came in very useful as it was around 30 degrees during our stay. The breakfast and cleaning staff were friendly. Breakfast was not exception, but fine, and had a wide service time.

Trying to check-in during busy bar service was a bit tricky - and generally the pub staff were disinterested or cold. Felt the stay was a much more pleasant experience than drinking in the bar.

We stayed with our infant and the staff were very accommodating throughout our stay. The room was cosy and comfy. The shower and beds were immaculate. I really liked the breakfast but I can't stress this enough.... The evening menu is ABSOLUTELY divine. The Vegan cottage pie was exquisite and the burger and chips were honestly the best I've ever had anywhere. I can't recommend this place enough. Truly sensational.

No faults whatsoever. A perfect stay.
