I booked this hotel for my parents who were visiting me in London, & they actually stayed here at 3 separate times over their UK trip. The staff were excellent, & although not in ‘central’ London, I loved that they have a 24hr desk which was really helpful for late check ins. Close to public transport - the 37 & 337 buses stop directly outside & will connect between Richmond & Clapham Junction, & a 5 minute walk will take you to East Putney station on the District line. A 15 minute walk will take you to Wandsworth pier where you can take a scenic Uber Boat/Thames Clipper along the river into the city (pricier, but highly recommend). You have several supermarkets & cafe’s all within an about a 7min walk in either direction.

It’s not necessarily the most convenient location for the average tourist, but if you want somewhere quiet & away from the hustle & bustle of the city then I do recommend this hotel.

Sadly I was only in the room overnight so it is difficult for me to give much feedback. However it was the perfect stay and was exactly what I needed. I would stay again. The room was a lovely size and considering it was on a main road, was quiet enough. It was only a few minutes walk away from the underground station, so it was really easy to access. The receptionist Francesca went above and beyond from the moment arrived. She was a very bright and welcoming face. She helped me with where I was going that evening (travel and dining) and even offered to help me find where I needed to go on my departure. She is a compliment to the hotel.

There wasn't anything I didn't like!

Fabulously warm welcome, swift and efficient check-in process, and personally taken to my room, rather than receiving directions in the form of "it's second on the right past the housekeeping trolley" which is the best that most hotels can manage. A little extra touch in the morning when the receptionist realised that I had been charged the usual £15 for parking but that, as a Blue Badge holder, she said the hotel did not charge; so immediately refunded that. Excellent customer service!

This would have been a 10/10 rating, but for a slip up on maintenance which meant I was faced in the morning with a shower that was spewing water out of the top and over the shower door, so flooding the bathroom flor and rendering the towels less than effective.

The staff were wonderful and very friendly. They graciously moved me to another room after I had a minor complaint with my first room, and helped me extend the length of my stay when I wanted to stay another night. The rooms were clean, light, and reasonably sized (i.e. not the extreme shoebox I would typically expect from a crowded city like London). The hotel was a 5-minute walk from a Sainsbury's Local, with a larger high street with more shops and restaurants a c. 15-minute walk away. The hotel is close to the district line; while it takes a while to get to central London, it was refreshing to be in a more residential/less hectic area of the city. For those who like to run, there is a nice park right off the Thames not too far away.

For those who select the cheapest room option, as I did, be aware that the rooms are located in the garret and that, following the roofline, the ceiling can be quite low in places. I wasn't able to stand up in the shower (which was more of a bathtub with a handheld shower unit). For taller individuals (like myself), it is definitely worth paying for one of the slightly more expensive rooms to get the extra headspace.

The friendly welcome and excellent breakfast. Very convenient for transport into town ( East Putney tube and Putnam main line station). Good shopping in the High street about 10 minutes stroll away. A Sainsbury’s is close by as are a few places to eat. The hotel itself has a bistro style restaurant ( closed Sunday evening).

At the moment there is extension building work progressing and this means that some views from the windows are onto a building site and this work also restricts the limited guest parking.

Location, cleanliness, staff. Parking was easy right outside the hotel door. Breakfast was excellent and good value. Niti was very friendly and super attentive. As were all the staff from start to finish. Helpful and chatty. Can’t commend them highly enough. Room was nice and warm. The hotel is dog friendly and everyone was welcoming to our pet. The double bed in the executive double was quite simply the best bed ever. Better than the Mandarin Oriental in Kuala Lumpur, the Grand Hyatt in Dubai and the Oberoi in Calcutta! A very good bed. Top notch.

Notice of renovations was on the website so we were expecting that. Strong smell of damp in the rear ground floor corridor leading to our room. One particular back of house member of staff was very rude and bossy to one of the waiters…spoke in a demeaning way to him in front of guests. Not very nice to witness and we hope it’s not a regular occurrence.

Staff are superb across all areas Also the housekeeping is up to a great standard

Some hotels & restaurants have pump dispensers of hand wash body was and shampoos that are anchored in to the shower (so customers do not take) of a high quality product with a soft botanicals smell so suits all. These are then topped up regularly by housekeeping so always look speciall (Aesop type/looking.....clearly not this brand as too expensive.... Current bathroom products a little boring / not special enough however..,...understand this keeps the room cost keen. Would be great if could be breakfast until 11am at weekends & checkout at 12 noon

We booked the superior room for one night. The bed was super comfy, slept like a baby! The room and shower are of good size, the settee is comfy too, and there's even a desk if you need to do some work. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, parking spaces providing they're available ( we were lucky and got one), and walking distance to East Putney. Didn't have breakfast as we left early, but the restaurant seemed quite busy as we walked through, and was smelling delish. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, overall an excellent stay. For sure this is going to be our hotel when down in London again!

Located in a quiet residential area with access to nice restaurants, bars and supermarkets (you could get excellent lunch meal plans including main+drink +snack for 4-5 pounds which is an absolute steal for travellers on a budget); clean bedroom; confy bed; hot shower with good pressure; friendly staff; a cute red telephone box at the entrance for some classic London photos; we were allowed to storage our luggage before check in and after check out; 2/3 min walking distance from tube station (East putnet).

East Putney is located between zone 2 and zone 3 of London Tube (that means spending 45min -1h getting to the main tourist attractions. It's obviously not the hotel's fault but bear this fact in mind when making a reservation); carpet flooring (sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine); No plug socket in the bathroom (apparently UK has very strict regulations regarding this matter); Laggy wifi in the room.

The staff were great, the room was big and comfortable and a nice bathroom. Also the only hotel from the 10 I stayed in Europe during that European trip with a half decent gym. Location is a 10 min walk to an underground station so could access the whole city from that location. Had a really wonderful stay and a great buffet breakfast which was reasonably priced.

Hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren, but you remember which way to go to your room and to reception soon enough. Also the “service charge” at the restaurant for dinner, but have noticed this service charge appearing in other restaurants in the UK too. Need to challenge that.
