This boutique hotel exceeded my expectations on every level. Welcoming and helpful staff. Upgrade on the room. Complimentary Prosecco on arrival. Personal welcome note in the room. Plus cookies! Fresh and comfortable towels, sheets and bed. Great restaurant on site. And amazing breakfast was included , so extra good value. And the building is so full of heritage character and beautifully renovated. The one challenge is finding parking nearby. Just know to expect that and use your google maps to help locate nearby parking lots.

Absolutely nothing!

Location is good for shopping turn right at the door and your in the Richmond centre Shipquay street is quite lively with bars shops restaurants and clubs. The diamond is on your left uphill leading to the bishops gate (straight on )or to the famous old city gates and walls(left at the diamond) the siege museum isn’t to far away either (all in walking distance) the craft village is directly across the road ( hidden gem). The hotel staff were faultless very welcoming and accommodating, our daughter is Down syndrome and they were brilliant with her always inclusive never patronising. We enjoyed the complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival and the selection of shortbreads and truffles in our room . The food at dinner was excellent. Breakfast was every bit as good freshly prepared to order which many hotels lack these days most going with the buffet style which lacks the personal touch and frankly isn’t as enjoyable as this. Really recommend this venue highly 😃👍

I’ve only one gripe and that’s the windows are to thin to much noise from the outside world. Shipquay street is a lively place at night and Christmas party’s were in full swing. Everything calmed down about 1 am or so but we’d travelled to get there and shopped and were pretty tired but it’s only a minor gripe as the beds themselves were very comfortable and everything else was spot on

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout hotel services.

Parking. We found this very difficult, even though we are familiar with the city. We phoned ahead to check about parking and were advised to park in Bishop's carpark. However we couldn't get the machine to work and count from the morning time onwards,as we had been advised. This meant we had to go back a few times to try and set parking. Eventually we had use the app, again something that wasn't easy as we did not have this app set up. A voucher to redeem towards payment of carpark could be offered, as this is done in many other hotels that have no parking facilities. One carpark was charing £15 for one day/overnight, thankfully we didn't need carpark for longer stay.

Amazing little Boutique hotel within the walls of Derry...we visited Derry last year and found this gem of a place for an evening meal and wanted to visit for a stay. A welcoming phonecall from Chantelle to ask if we needed any help was the start of the first class treatment we received from every member of staff. The food was devine, for both dinner and breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and tasteful. I visited with my sister and my friends, we all felt the same way...The Shipquay hotel was faultless and we very much look forward to many more visits...

There was nothing to dislike.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this property! The staff is fantastic, and the hotel is beautiful. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and absolutely loved both. On a three week trip to multiple countries, this was one of our favorite places that we stayed at.

The rooms are small but clean and nice. There is no parking at the hotel, which can make it a bit tricky. We got very lucky and found street parking. Otherwise, you can go to a parking lot around the block.

Shipquay Boutique Hotel is a gem situated in the heart of Derry city. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and include a top notch shower and toiletries. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant and an excellent late night Margarita cocktail in the bar. Breakfast was first class and cooked to order, with the added surprise of a Mimosa cocktail. The staff are exceptional and could not have been kinder when the concert we had booked was cancelled at the last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.

Location was the best. Room had everything we needed and was very cute. Breakfast was wonderful. This was a hotel that we said we splurge a little for. We defiantly were not disappointed. Special thank you to concierge - Susan I think, who arranged a private driver-Dermot - to take us to Giant's Causeway and then to Belfast for our train back to Dublin. Northern Irish coast was the highlight of our 10 days in Ireland.

Nice cozy feel. Beautiful old building. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good food at dinner too. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. Bedroom was a compact design but not cramped. Bathroom and shower were very good although not massive but obviously the age of the building dictates the room available. The hotel is well placed centrally for all activities.

We were unable to use the room safe because of a fault. Despite reporting it a few hours after arrival it remained unusable throughout our stay. Slightly disappointing as everything else was quite good and well run. There is no air-conditioning and the window would only open a few inches, even so, we slept well.

The staff was very friendly and we liked the hotel as a whole. The fact that they don’t have their own parking lot was not an issue as there is a large parking lot in Bishop Street. The rates are okay as there’re no charges over night. The bathroom was really nice, the room was nice too, although it was not too big. The selection of cooked breakfast options is quite wide, but there is no buffet. So you have to order everything at the table and you have to tell staff the evening before when you plan to come. The hotel is right in the centre, which is great. But it can also get loud for brief periods.

The matress in our bed was not really good as we felt quite a few springs.
