Traditional inn lodgings above a pub. Staff were friendly and let us eat our takeaway downstairs in the pub, as main meals are not served there. Spacious, clean well presented en-suite bedroom. Pretty walks nearby and a nice countryside view from our window. Pod coffee machine and microwave provided in the room. The accommodation is great value for money.

There was some noise from the pub downstairs (music on until late, as it was a Saturday night) and from another group of guests who arrived back to their rooms drunk in the middle of the night.

Set in a quiet village the inn is ideally situated for all the tourist attractions in the area and making the coast easily accessible. The property is in a listed building which makes some of the facilities quirky. Although there is no breakfast available the room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster and tea / coffee.

Very noisy on Friday and Saturday night as it is situated above the only pub in the village but we knew that when we booked.

Large room with small table and easy chairs. The pub does not offer food but on the night we stayed (Thursday) a mobile fish n chips van parked outside and sold an excellent takeaway which we were able to eat in the pub bar. There is also a small shop next door that sells convenience foods.

There was no breakfast offered but we knew of this in advance. The water system and shower is a little antiquated with a very noisy electric flushing system.

Facilities were very good, but unable to use most due to a power cut in the morning.

The only criticism is that we experienced a power cut at 08.30am and we tried to contact staff to get help but no staff responded until we were leaving the premises. Unable to shower, unable to make a hot drink in the morning or have any breakfast with facilities available.

Everything we needed was there. Had the door codes so accessibility was fine. Didn't see the staff as we entered the side door, the information booklet was good. My partner and I have an Inn in the borders, so I understood how to use the facilities.

I wouldn't say I didn't like anything, really. I didn't go looking for the staff so didn't encounter any.

Nice local pub with very friendly atmosphere. Good for a pint at the end of the day. Beautiful landscape but close enough to Aberdeen airport. The owners are extremely nice. The bedrooms are variable - we had a beautiful large one with a full bathroom and a rest area with two armchairs to enjoy the views, and one small one that was simply convenient.

Beds are not very comfy. Would be nice to serve some food (beyond frozen pizza).

Excellent and fit the purpose we needed it for. Clean and comfortable and very responsive management.

Soundproofing in the room was not great. We had to listen to a conversation somewhere in the hotel until probably 06:00. This person would just not stop talking.

Not a negative but it was loud, however it is above a pub so this wasn’t a big surprise. If you expect an early night then this isn’t the place for you. It was quiet after about 12:30 and the locals where very nice and had a good laugh

Aileen and Peter very very helpful and friendly. We arrived a little wet travelling on bikes. They let us use their laundry services free of charge to dry out

If I could change anything it would be to have food/ breakfast. There were no facilities but a shop next door

Room was modern and looked stunning when walked into the room for the first time - sunny and bright Having the pub downstairs was great and the little supermarket next door Staff were friendly and very helpful Meeting the locals and talking to them was a hoot, lots of laughs It's a pity that due to Covid no meals served but luckily the mobile chippy was outside on the Thursday night

You guess it, Covid and the restrictions, just got to make the best of the situation
