Quiet location. Easy parking. very friendly and obliging staff. Fridge in the room. Good, home cooked food.

The room, although spacious and comfortable was a little shabby. A new bathroom but paint on the carpet and scuffed paintwork. Given the water pressure the shower was tricky to use.

The staff was lovely .the hotel was more than adequate.

Didn't like the fact that bookings told us we couldn't change the dates .the hotel couldn't have been more apologetic about it. They wanted to change it for us ,but couldn't cause bookings wouldn't have honoured the money.

Welcoming, Kat and Nicki coukd not if done enough to make me feel at home. Nothing was too much bother for them. The coal fire was most warming, very relaxing ambience.

Absolutely nothing, woukd be more than happy to stay at the Aberdeen Arms again....

The location was perfect for our stay, the breakfast was delicious and certainly value for money. Lovely view from our window. Staff were very welcoming and obliging. The only thing which isn’t a grievance was that the bedding could have been ironed!

The bedding could have been better but other than that it was comfortable and welcoming.

This charming inn in Tarland was off the beaten path, which was just what we wanted. We were able to enjoy visiting with the locals and join in with a terrific trad session. We also learned of some sites to see and enjoyed amazing food, friendly hosts and lively scenic drives.

When staying in a 300 year old inn, you should expect a few quirks. The shower door gave us some trouble and we inadvertently let water rain into the foyer below (my husband apologized profusely) Otherwise, we were completely happy and comfortable.

This was a quaint family business, very friendly and welcoming. The food and breakfast was all delicious and they had an open mic night where local musicians came to play in the tavern. The bag Piper was exceptional! The town was very charming with a little brook running through it, providing for a relaxing walk around town and shops to explore.

The furnishings were a little outdated but the building itself was very amazing and historic, about 300 years old.

Dinner was good. Had a very good night in the pub. Room was nice, 300 year old pub. Staff were very friendly and Hosts were good

You could only use the shower for so long before it overflowed the shower tray, some kind of drainage problem, there was water leaking from the ceiling in the entrance hall, probably someones shower overflowing.

Staff were great as was the breakfast. Tuesday evenings musicians arrived from far and wide , among them Paul Anderson M.B.E. the finest fiddle player your ever likely to here. Joined by other fine muscians playing guitar ,flutes, bagpipes, drums etc and a singer from county Antrim who was also awsome. One of the best nights we have ever had and there has been many.

Rooms need work and updating. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Value for money, good food, pleasant owners

Room looks slightly tired could do with laminate flooring and a better painter, but on balance, what does one want for £64 a night I'm not complaining and will be back
