Impeccable views you cannot get enough of from the lodge, lots of stars at night as well. Was upgraded to a Corbetts room (directly overlooking the loch), super kind of the staff! We went there during the winter and found the room was warm and cozy. Free parking on site. Didn’t get to try out their Spa facilities. Full English breakfast was included which had a couple of options so no complaints.

Minor one: I can see the place being popular with couples celebrating their special occasions. I asked the reception if they such decors but they didn’t have such options. For starters, simple towel art/origami or petals or flowers on the bed could be more inviting, since I’ve seen many hotels provide that complimentarily

We booked this as a last minute deal and were not disappointed. We booked an executive room and paid a little more for this room type and it is certainly worth the upgrade. The view was to die for. Truly spectacular. An unobscured view from the room and from the balcony out onto Loch Lomond. The room was extremely well appointed and the bed was super comfy. The hotel had plenty of parking and was easy to find. The food was exceptional and the choice of beverages at the bar was sufficient, but not extensive. We dined in the evening and had breakfast and I had the Haggis, needs and tatties in the evening which was amazing and I had the full English for breakfast which was superb too. The location of the hotel was spot on - we were about a 3 minute walk into the village of Luss, which is really picturesque and well worth a visit, especially the view from the pier and the quaint gift shops. There is truly nothing, not to like about this hotel. I would stay again in a heart beat.

There was nothing in the hotel that I did not like, apart from the real ale choice. There were two Loch Lomond beers on draughty - one was a wheat beer, and the other was a pilsner. It’s a shame that there was no real ale on draughty available. But that’s a very, very minor negative and would never stop me from going again. This hotel is amazing and if I could award it 11 out of 10, I would.

We had a ground floor room, with patio door straight out onto the car park. The staff were very friendly and the views from the restaurant are amazing. We took our small dog and she was totally spoilt by staff. The food was lovely, with a good selection. Would definitely recommend for fellow travellers with pets.

There was no information provided on the Spa usage. The privacy of our room was poor, as you could see straight in from the car park if the curtains were not closed. We wanted to see the view and let the light in, so didn't want the curtains closed at all times.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had contacted the hotel regarding dietary requirements before booking and staff were quick to reassure me that they could cater for our intolerances. We arrived early and luckily we could go straight to our room, which was well equipped and had a wonderful view over the loch. The chef came to see us regarding our afternoon tea and was able to provide a lovely selection based on low fodmap for my husband. The same care and attention was given at dinner and breakfast, and I could not thank the restaurant staff enough for their super attitude and “ nothing being too much trouble”.

Wonderful staff and amazing location especially if you want to be nearish Glasgow airport, with a beautiful view and a lovely village within a few minutes walk. Lovely restaurant, fantastic breakfast and great to have a sauna/spa option. Would give a much higher rating if it wasn’t for the price.

For £250 a night (£290 after we paid to use the saunas) we expected more - we were in the building outside the hotel overlooking a car park and the building/room felt quite tired. We felt really disappointed when we arrived. I would recommend this hotel but not at that price.

The location, setting, hotel and views were out of this world. The most amazing views, and the hotel was to a very high spec.

The dining experience. Small things that detracted a little. Paper napkins in the restaurant. Also, an expensive main dish (prawn and clam papardelle) but the prawns weren't fresh and it was tagliatelle pasta, not papardelle. Just felt like corners were being cut (maybe because it's out of season)? The breakfast was only just warm, and didn't include all the items listed for full Scottish. No Lorne sausage! Breakfast was also a little rushed - we were still eating cereal and our cooked breakfasts were brought out. It wasn't busy at the time so they could easily have observed where we were up to and waited.

We wanted to book for another night, but there weren't any rooms available except the suite. We got the suite with a really big discount (AMAZING). I thought the view from our first room was better though (right in front of the lake). At the suite there was the parking in front of us. But the suite room was really crazy cool though 😁.

Restaurant... LOVED the breakfast, LOVED the bar!! We had a dinner package (starter, main, dessert), but we were served by a younger staffmember. Unfriendly and everything went very fast. Our food came one thing after the other, we couldn't enjoy it. Even at the beginning she told us rudely we made a mistake and we hadn't got the package included in our price. She went away to another staff member, afterwards she didn't say anything to us anymor, she just cleaned our table and gave us the new dishes. Really strange... I think they should shoose the restaurant attendants more carefully . We loved the bartenders and every other staff member though, very friendly!! It was just this one person... Learning by experience I guess, but not a nice experience for us though.

Room was lovely, very clean, well presented, wet room rain shower great. Balcony great for sunset and sunrise photos. Great in room facilities and comfort. Very standard breakfast nothing special, buffet selection basic. Poor selection of whiskey for a Scottish hotel. No Drambuie, more whiskey cocktails would be good. Condiment pots were cracked and mug. Attention to detail missing in dining room. Staff very friendly.

The reception staff were very welcoming when checking in/out. The quiet location of the hotel and the scenery was great. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated throughout. Food was good and the waiters/waitresses were polite and attentive. Bar staff were also very welcoming and the bar area had a lovely ambience with the fire in the seating area.

The weather! The only negative was having to walk from our suite to the main hotel for the restaurant & bar. The weather was wild during our stay, otherwise it would've been fine. Maybe offer a brolly in the suites for guest to use?

The room (a Corbett, if I recall) was one of their highest spec rooms. It had a beautiful and spacious bathroom (I think because it had originally had an in-room sauna, all of which were removed, having been deemed to be dangerous) with a glass-fronted balcony offering panoramic views of the loch. The building is so close to the waterfront that little if anything of the land is visible between you and the water. I'd strongly recommend you leave your curtains open, to get the full benefit of the changing of the landscape with the light... though I appreciate that if it's the height of summer, this won't be possible as it doesn't really get dark. I've previously (and by that I mean twenty-odd years ago) stayed in one of their standard rooms, and while I wouldn't be able to comment on the fit and finish today, given how long ago it was, the same stunning view really made the stay, despite there not being a balcony on the cheaper rooms. I did consider trying to get the Carter Suite, where Jimmy Carter used to stay when he was on his fishing holidays. When I was here in the 1990s, there were pictures of him in reception, holding up his catches. The receptionist was lovely, and was able to let us check in LONG before we were meant to. We'd arrived three hours ahead of schedule, having had an earlier start than we had anticipated.

There's not much not to love, really. The one-way system in the car-park is a little confusing, and you wouldn't want to be stuck at the top of the car-park if you're going to be staying down at the bottom. It's quite a trek. It'd be nice if perhaps there was access between the hotel's part of the shore and the public part, so you could nip into the village without having to go alllll the way up the hill and back down again, but ... really... I can't call that a complaint.
