The hotel was an amazing place to stay, the facility's were the best of the best. They upgraded our room completely for free without us even asking. The shower was really warm and large, the bed was super conformable and even a sofa with a TV! The location was beautiful with some great roads and great views. Also very close to whiskey distilleries which I recommend visiting.
Unfortunately, we had reserved a table for their dinner service. We ordered some pints and burgers. We were oddly surprised when the burgers came out straight away, but were not surprised when they were barely warm and tasted extremely frozen. For this reason if you are wanting a nice place to eat, I would advise not going to the Oak Tree Inn for this.

Fantastic area. Nice and quiet and a challenging big hill to climb! Picturesque surroundings. I would recommend this area if you are looking to chill or passing through doing some hill walking. There is not a lot of things nearby, but this area does have a small shop and cafe as well as the hotel. Breakfast is a buffet style and has everything you need to start your day. Superior pods are probably the way to go or stay in part of a cottage.
Unfortunately, I have an allergen to chilli and I ordered the burger without sweet chilli, but it came with it anyway. Luckily I noticed and it was replaced with a new one. The staff kindly removed this from my bill. Maybe Allergen advice can be the first point when asking for the order.

The room was fantastic and the staff went over and above to make our stay as great as possible. I was away with my girlfriend for her birthday weekend and they decorated the room and did a birthday dessert for us which both looked amazing. The room had a fantastic view, very comfy, very clean and very cosy! The tea and coffee for the room was great and offered a sample of the local Loch Lomond Coffee Co. The bathroom was the same and the shampoo and shower gel was high quality. I loved the local food shop and the village shop as well as the log fires in the hotel and the fire pit outside it. 10/10 would recommend and we've booked again for next year even though we're just back!
Saturday nights can be busy with families which can make parking difficult at night. The carpark at the back of the hotel could be limited for spaces if 4x4s had parked leaving gaps between cars but we were able to park at spaces at the cottages part of the hotel

Good customer dealing and easy check in. Good breakfast. Very good heating system and all around hotel. Comfortable rooms with hot water. Secured digital entry in Hut and room door. Menu selection dinner was good, high in price, but quantity and taste also good. Plenty of residents parking EV charging point available in premises. A good hotel owned gift shop available in premises.
4 rooms in a hut, you can hear all 3 rooms sounds in your bedroom. Dog sound, However I am sure I select room in main building restricted for dogs. Check in and checkout time difference 5 hours, need to reduce this time, I pay room rent for 24 hours and avail facility only for 19 hours. I asked early checkin for 1 hour, its refused.

Really lovely venue. Local pub vibe but with nice cosy rooms. I stayed in one of the pods and it was warm, safe and secure with good parking outside. The restaurant on site you can book a table in is cosy and there is table ordering if your Sat outside. There is a shop and coffee shop on site as well. Very easy to locate and almost directly on the loch so you can easily start a hike from the venue out round the lake. Overall a great stay and would recommend for a get away. Fantastic staff as well, felt very looked after.
Not much to say wrong. I would say due to its semi remote location the food prices and store options were a tad high and limited but with a little pre-planning you can get round that and the food was tasty!

- quality and standard of the accommodation - self contained flat - home from home feel - cleanliness and luxuriousness - parking availability - access to various HQ TV channels, including Netflix and BBC iplayer - underfloor bathroom heating - nice showergel
- poor drainage in wash basin reported to Reception at check out - eaves on either side of lengths of accommodation which restricted freedom of movement for fear of banging your head on ceiling - power sockets mostly located under the eaves which made these virtually impossible to use due to concerns of head injury - furniture could be rearranged better (wardrobe was blocking the light coming from french doors in bedroom; mirror could be placed on bare wall - bed too low (to accommodate eaves) - bathroom located over the cafe where music could be heard, so had to close bathroom door in mornings

The Oak Tree Inn is situated in a beautiful spot by Loch Lomond. We were both in awe from the moment we arrived. We arrived way before our check-in time to allow us to make the most of our stay. We asked the receptionist where was best to park whilst we explored the area, she was incredibly helpful and even upgraded our room out of the goodness of her heart. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, advising us on where best to grab refreshments and where to explore until our check-in. Our room was stunning with complimentary refreshments, including the local ground coffee, such a wonderful personal touch. The food in their restaurant is second to none, locally sourced and prepared from scratch by their team of talented chefs. The staff are incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable of the area and nothing is too much trouble. We're already planning a return in the spring.

The Oak Tree Inn is situated in a beautiful spot in Balmaha very close to the water and to hiking trails. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and the whole Inn seems to be very well-maintained. The rooms are in converted or new-built cabins and cottages and my room featured a very nice view of Loch Lomond. Parking is right outside the apartments. The Inn has its own coffee shop with excellent coffee!
The room I stayed in was very small so that I had to leave my suitcase in the car as there wouldn't have been space to unpack or store it in the room. The food options in the restaurants are a bit too much focused on standard pub fare with hardly any fresher or lighter foods available.

The location for starters, simply amazing. Paying that we bit extra for the loch view from your room is worth it (if the weather is right!). The quality of the food on offer is that of high quality, I could get fatter than I already am with the buffet breakfast that is available. I had no need to eat from the gluten free menu, but I was told from a work colleague who has eaten there that the GF food on offer was some of the best that she had tried anywhere. The staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful.
The only thing I didn't "like" in my room was the sofa bed, used as a couch I didnt find it particularly comfortable to sit on. Oh, and there was no loo brush on offer, that was problematic as I had some bother trying to pee off the stoater of a skid mark I had left on the first night of our stay. (I don't think it's fair that I leave that for the housekeeping staff to sort out).
