Friendliness of the welcome and the willingness to meet our needs. Large room and bathroom with stunning views. Extremely comfortable bed. Superb breakfast.

Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom.

The breakfasts were excellent on both days. Uta was lovely and cooked the main breakfast to order, with lots of variety. The first part of the breakfast was a lovely fruit platter, imaginatively arranged. This was served with two varieties of yoghurt. This option, followed a by cooked breakfast was always my preferred option when away on business, so this matched our expectations perfectly.

Everything was so well thought through and classy that it is hard to come up with any gaps. It is being picky but there was no facility for milk in the actual room. Uta explained that she believed UHT milk to be unattractive and that fresh milk was always available in the kitchen (which it was). However, as the kitchen was the family space and on the floor below, this was not convenient to access early in the morning or late at night. Perhaps a small fridge on the upstairs landing or even asking guests if they would be OK with UHT milk cartons might be a small improvement? However, I stress, this is a very minor point.

Very comfortable, beautiful surroundings, delightful and welcoming hostess, good facilities and great breakfast.

We were not allowed in the property between 11 am and 5 pm which we found inconvenient.

The welcome from Jason and Uta was wonderful. We were made to feel part of the family, sharing their lovely country home .Our room was everything we needed, including an extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in a dining room with a spectacular view over the garden to the fields. We could have whatever we wished from homemade sourdough to a platter of fresh fruit. We were so royally fed we didn’t bother with lunch at all! Uta suggested restaurants for evening meals and booked tables for us. We would highly recommend staying at Bowden House , it was a very enjoyable weekend.

Breakfast ok.

Beautiful house in a quiet and secluded location in the village. Uta and Jason are friendly and helpful hosts, providing lots of written material and advice about activities and services in this area. A nicely cooked and presented breakfast is served at a large table in the dining room and is tailored to guests' requirements as far as possible.

Both days the breakfasts were excellent with lots of choices. Table was well presented with lovely outlook to the garden. Initially thought the location was a bit farther than we’d like. We quickly realized it was a very serene location with easy access to day trips and some restaurants.

Nothing! It was top notch!!

The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, it had a very good atmosphere, the catering was superb, with an excellent range of choice for breakfast and superbly presented. I would have no reservations in recommending this establishment.

My daughter and myself were completely satisfied with our stay, so we do not feel we could recommend changes.

A little off the beaten track but taxi drivers to and back from meal out were prompt and lovely too.

Uta and her family are genuinely warm and welcoming people. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed and en suite bathroom. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip through the UK 🇬🇧
