It was good to be able to park on site given the hotel's centre of town location. Check in was efficient and were we made to feel very welcome. The bedroom was spacious with a seating area, large flat screen TV and a good sized bathroom. Wifi was complimentary and of good quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our Indian meal in the evening. The breakfast was cooked to order and was very good. The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a very warm welcome on arrival. We were on a cycling tour and they put our bikes in the laundry shed for safekeeping. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Of particular note were the meals, which were exceptionally good value for money, with a varied menu. Breakfast was not included in the price, but we all opted for the extra, and it was good.

The hotel is right on one of the main routes out of Melton Mowbray, so traffic noise can be a bit of an issue during the night. If you don't mind that, it's fine.

Easy check in , literally took 2 minutes and the room was ready before the time we had to check in. Room was small but had everything we needed , was a very warm room but there was a ceiling fan to help. USB sockets in the room which are very convenient. Bar area was clean and staff friendly , also has a nice little yard area for sitting out with drinks. Also there was a night porter available to let us in after the bar area had closed so we could gain access to our room Free car park

The mattress was a little soft but I think that was just my preference but not a real complaint. Just a small niggle but the body wash dispensers was far too high up the wall and I could only just reach it , I am a short but still feel it was too high. Shower pressure wasn't as good as I expected, wasn't a trickle but still could have been a bit better The room we had was on the main road so if the window was open it was fairly noisy but it is in the town centre.

The hotels location is fantastic in Melton and the heart of superb motor bike and cycling country. We had been cycling round Lincolnshire a total 9 days riding and this was the last stop before returning to Nottingham. The rooms are modern and tastefully fitted out with recessed tvs and all in all much better than average.

I messaged the hotel and requested confirmation three times that there was somewhere safe that we could secure for our bikes for obvious reasons. But I received NO reply to my requests. If I had been told of the upset we caused when trying to secure our bikes when told to leave them in the laundry room i would have booked elsewhere. We had stayed 7 nights previously with no issues and all previous hotels confirmed safe storage and complied with no issues. This is a large lovely old hotel with many outbuildings and I sure one of those could be simply converted for that use. So whilst I enjoyed Melton I would suggest staying elsewhere if on cycle trip to avoid the issues we encountered.

Shower was not as good as expected the water just trickled out which was a pain , only stayed for one night so didn't complain about this. If we had stayed longer I would have asked for it to be checked.

Hotel in an excellent position, close to station and town centre. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Room comfortable. Will stay here again when visiting Melton Mowbray.

A group of us staying here, some of the rooms close to the main road could hear traffic noise. Staying here again, I would ask for a quiet room away from main road. No separate shower, so had to climb into bath to shower.

All the staff we dealt with were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. The evening meal we had was lovely, and priced sensibly. Room was comfortable and well equipped, and surprisingly quiet considering the location.

No real complaints, the bar area was very busy and noisy on the Saturday evening, but from the owners point of view that's obviously a good thing. I guess the only negative thing I'd say is that the accom area ie rooms and hallways are a bit dated, and would benefit from a freshen up and perhaps a little more thorough cleaning.

The bathroom and bed were amazing , coffee and tea facilities were good , television was in a good position. Everything was very clean and tidy and the staff were polite and friendly and we would stay again. The breakfast was cooked to order it was amazing lots of fresh produce and value for money.

The room was small, very old windows and there was a very noisy fan going all night intermittently so kept waking me up as I’m a light sleeper and the pillows were very hard. I know that the hotel is being upgraded and they are carrying out work so hopefully these things will be rectified in the future.

The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and well soundproofed.

When you ran the hot tap it sounded like a monster was about to emerge from the pipes. The shower was very disappointing - barely a trickle at points and impossible to get a constant temperature. Compared to the general high standard of the room, it felt like the money ran out at that point as it even looked really basic.

Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. Special mentions to Sophie and Sasha (sorry I may have that name wrong) who helped me open my bedroom window. Nicely decorated throughout, , newly fitted soft carpets upstairs on landing and in rooms. Extremely comfortable bed , Room 117, I slept like a log !!! Plenty of coffee and tea supplies and kettle. Big TV cleverly inserted in to wall. Adequate wardrobe space. Mirror well placed longer length. Special mention also to Aberdeen Dave the night porter who was also very friendly and informative. Lovely conservatory effect with door opening out on to patio area with tables and parasols on lovely decking area. Definitely recommend staying here and hope to stay again soon. Nice chats with customers enjoying a Sunday pint in the sunshine who were very welcoming. Thank you Harboro Hotel, a huge asset to the Town.
