We booked the family room which was at the top floor, very spacious and with a fantastic view over the sea. The staff members were super kind and helpful to make individual arrangements for us when we decided to stay a night longer and our room had already been booked. We also really enjoyed the area where we felt being the only foreigners, with everyone else being local - the prices in the pubs and cafés are very reasonable, everybody is very friendly, the beach is nice, clean, and we felt perfectly safe. We don't understand the critical reviews of other guests as this hotel is of course not a 5 star resort but it offers good quality for a price that is really okay. We would come again!

The price. Very reasonable and cheaper than getting an Uber home after my night out.

The stairs/hallways could be better. The lights controlled by switch and when I first arrived I found myself walking round in the dark trying to find a switch. Suggest you always ensure the lights are on in the evenings or get motion sensors. A few other small details would have made this a 9. For example having toilet roll holders and better toilet roll (only single ply) and somewhere in the main room to hang my coat (wound up hanging it in the wardrobe)

Staff were super friendly and very helpful, room and en-suite bathroom were a good size. Bed was comfortable, room had everything I needed. I would definitely stay again.

Only negatives, the toilet did not flush very well, the shower tray was very slow to drain. I could not get the TV remote to work the TV. I had my iPad so it wasn’t the end of the world.

Staff amazing accommodated my son with special needs , Kevin Chelsea, There was another member of staff who checked us in very helpful also i forgot her name and the chef Suzanne just went above and beyond food was amazing bar prices reasonable very recommended

Extremely helpful staff…(couldn’t do enough for my Mom who is partially disabled..! Helping with luggage up & down the staircase..!) Lovely & clean room …with a fantastic view ..not just over the Marina…but the whole length of the beach too…!

Lovely staff, lively venue , beautiful big room with Seaview. Nice food and drinks all reasonably priced. Shirt walk down to Lovely roker beach.

The carpets weren't very clean and the toilet seat was broken and nit cleaned to a high standard. Could have don't with a good dust all round but the beds were clean and comfortable.

The lady who was working there was especially lovely. Went above and beyond to make sure we got to our room OK and helped us in many ways. The room was lovely with a perfect sea view and very spacious and comfortable. Food in bar was lovely too. Very nice atmosphere too.

The property was right on the coast, near the mariner. There’s lots of bars to visit close by. Including the pub itself. The staff were lovely and friendly.

We stayed on a Thursday night, the pub closed early, so had to ring them to get back in. But for £36 a night, it was much better than expected.

Staffs were very helpful and polite. The room was tidy with clean towels. Fast internet and good location to various places. I will try the food next time I visit again.

TV remote not working and outside noises e.g cars. I guess there is nothing the hotel could do about it. But I enjoyed my overall stay.
