We booked this very last minute as we had to visit Morecambe on urgent family business. We have stayed in several beachfront hotels over the years and this was by far the best. The room was a good size and well heated, decent size bath and huge TV. Magnificent views across the bay.

I had a meal in the restaurant, it was Sunday evening so the kitchen closes early. the service was great but I was disappointed with the pudding, it had been microwaved for too long. there is no restaurant service on Mondays, so i didnt experience the breakfast. There is a carpark opposite, charges every day of the year, including overnight, careful you don't get caught out.

To be honest I wasn't expecting much other than a quick night stay on our way to the lakes. We found the hotel to be lovely. Right on the beach front next to the Eric Morecambe statue, the location is great. There is parking along the front if you can find space, but we used a car park just behind the hotel. £9 for 24 hours and it had cameras etc, so felt secure. We stayed on the top floor, room 9, the Scarfell view suite. The 2 kids loved watching the sea and mountain views. The binoculars in the room were a great touch. Tea and coffee facilities, nice big tv, really clean and comfy beds. A double in 1 room and 2 sibgles in the other. Big bathroom with bath and shower, loads of towels and body products. Will 100% use again.

There's only 1 complaint I have. The restaurant/bar downstairs is closed on a Monday. We arrived on a sunday and the food being served looked superb. We would have loved a breakfast on the Monday morning!

The hotel is on the sea front , we were in room 6 facing out to sea with a large bay window, looking out over Eric Morecambe statue . The rooms are large and clean and have delightful character , and smart tvs . The staff are courteous and friendly, and very attentive . The food is 5 star very highly recommended, , and the restaurant is delightful and not too big , with large windows, also looking out to sea and along the very large promanade clean and welcoming . I would definitely book again . And would highly recommend. thankyou Roy and family .

The only thing …. The stairs leading to the rooms … , maybe needed a swipe or lock , as non residents could possibly gain access, although rooms are locked, however , there was no suggestion anyone did … stair carpet would benefit from a freshen up , but lots of foot traffic … and is not really an issue . On the whole, this hotel is fabulous.

Location was great, room was spacious and well cleaned. Air con unit/ fan was very much needed as the room was very hot because of an unusually warm weekend we were pleasantly surprised to see it in the wardrobe.

Having to walk through the restaurant to check in while people were eating wasn’t the best. We stayed in room 5 and the floor boards were ridiculously creaky and felt unsteady under foot. We couldn’t open the window in the bedroom not sure if it was stuck or just too heavy to lift whilst leaning over the table in front of the window. Not the biggest of beds I’m only 5’7 and my feet touched the frame at the end of the bed as the frame was higher than the mattress.

The family suite (9) was wonderful; a double room, a little twin room and spacious, modern bathroom off a hall. The view was spectacular up and down the coast, the seating area even had a telescope. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, TVs, hairdryer, USB charging and tea making all good, (only 2 mugs but they gave us more on request). We used the restaurant for 2 breakfasts and an evening meal which were all delicious. They asked if we needed help with our luggage and they asked if we needed our room servicing on the first morning but we didn't.

I neglected to tell them about the creaking hinges on the twin room door so hopefully they will read this and oil it. The stairs are narrow when carrying luggage up and down but this would not put us off returning to the 3rd floor sea view rooms. Also only 2 chairs in the window, not an issue with our 4 YO grandchild but might be with bigger children. These are just observations for your information.

View from the room (on the third floor at the back of the hotel) a bit restricted but we could still see the bay area and it was amazing. Easy check-in and easy check-out. Very friendly staff. For future I would book one of the rooms to the front of the hotel - all suites. The view must be great from there.

There was nothing in particular that was displeasing. The room was comfortable but dated, and the central heating was making odd noises in the night. Needs an air bleed. Dinner was good, but lacked seasoning.

The staff greeted us with a smile and were very friendly. We had the room on the top floor facing the sea, which was beautiful. We had a double bed in the large main room with a separate bedroom for our daughter which was a bonus. The huge bathroom was clean and smelt fresh. The bed was really comfortable. That comfy, I fell asleep at 7.30pm until 7.30am. 😲. My husband sat by the window enjoying the stunning view of the sea. My daughter enjoyed her own private room. The bistro downstairs did delicious fresh food. 👌 We loved our time so close to the beach and we will be back. 😊

We stayed in a family with our 2 grandchildren, the room was wonderful, very spacious with a fantastic view, a separate bedroom for the children was perfect, a pair of binoculars were left by the window with was a added bonus, the bathroom was v nice and big with a bath, great for the kids, we did not eat there but the bar and restaurant area was beautiful, I can not praise all the young staff enough, they were so friendly and helpful, thank you we will definatly be returning

Every thing was as expected and more

Nice clean rooms & bathroom with plenty of space. Comfortable beds. Good heating as we went at the end of December. Kettle in the room with enough tea & coffee capsules supplied. Excellent breakfast & evening home cooked meal. Staff were very friendly. Will return again. Thank you, David & Elena Brown.

Carpets in our main room were a little dirty so needed a clean. The reception was linked to the dining room & the entrance was a little tight. So on checking in one has to go to the dining/restaurant area which was a little awkward if you have luggage as you will be disturbing other guests who are having their evening meal if you are checking in late. Not a problem if you are checking in between 14.00-17.00 as I presume the guests will not start their evening meal before 18.00. Being a four star hotel I have to be a little critical.

Good value for the price I paid. Clean and warm. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and the room was serviced daily. I agree with what other reviewers have said regarding the lack of privacy at the window and the need to keep the curtains closed. The wi-fi was spot on. Meals are not provided every day and then only at set times, I didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. The location is fairly good, right on the promenade and within easy walking distance of the transport hubs. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone accessing the Eden North site.

The window privacy situation I have already mentioned and the owners were already aware of it. It would be helpful to take a long extension cable and the hairdryer could then be used in front of the mirror. There appears to be some sort of fault on the heating system which bangs loudly under the floor when it switches on (room 8). The owner didn't know about this.
