What a lovely and quiet location. I turned up by bicycle as I was riding the 'Lakes and Dales Loop', so it was very conveniently located as it was right on the route. The welcome was warm and my bike was safely tucked away for the night. My room was light, bright, airy and warm and really clean. The shower was great and the bed super comfy. I had to get away early the following day so didn't have time to take breakfast. The Sun Inn pub, a five minute walk away, serves fabulous food and that topped off a great stay. Thank you.

Stayed just the one night to break the journey home to Scotland, but will definitely be staying again. Rather than rambling on, I'll list the good points. Spotless room. Peaceful and very quiet location. A big plus for me. Relaxed and informal. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Served in your room. Good communications from owners. Good pub in the village, just a short stroll away. The owners have obviously made every effort (and succeeded) to make this a first class B&B Bad points: There aren't any.

The breakfast was very good and I liked the fact that it was brought to my room which meant that it took less time than if I had had a more formal breakfast in a dining room where I had to wait for each item to be brought to the table.

I was slightly disappointed that my only contact with the hosts was on arrival for a very quick introduction to my room. As a result of having breakfast in the room, which was left outside my door, there was no need for human interaction. On this occasion this suited me as I had to leave the house quite early each day, but on previous stays in guest houses all over the country I have been able to chat to the hosts about the area, and the interaction added to the feeling that the hosts were pleased to welcome you.

The breakfast choice and quality was excellent - served in your room. The location was nice but a little off the beaten track, but that's all good. The room was lovely - modern and very clean. I also used the garden to sit out in and that was very peacfull. All in all, a great place to take a break for a few days.

One very minor complaint, I felt the bulb in the bathroom could have been a little brighter.

The location was wonderful. It is in a small, quiet village and is just a short walk to a wonderful pub called the Sun Inn, that is a must visit, with its excellent food and very friendly staff.

That breakfast isn’t included. Given the price for a night, surely they could include breakfast.

The room was clean and comfy. The owners were friendly and gave you all the space you needed. Plenty of information about local attractions and activities. The breakfast was lovely, good choice, and very well cooked. Location itself is quite handy. Newton Reigny itself is quiet, but there are lovely walks to be had and it's very close to Penrith. The Sun Inn was close buy as well for a tasty evening meal.

Very tasty, freshly prepared breakfast that is being delivered to your room right on time that you requested the night before. There is a large variety of food to chose from. Mini-fridge in the room was a nice surprise. The location was amazing, so peaceful and quiet and the owners provide complete privacy. Above all was the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. Absolutely spotless!

The only thing that slightly bothered us at night was the emergency exit light above the door, but we totally understand it is necessary. Other that that, we liked absolutely everything!

Beautifully peaceful location, spotlessly clean and good extras in the room (fully stocked tea/coffee station, mini fridge, ironing board and iron).

We thought breakfast was a little on the expensive side so chose not to add it on but this wouldn’t put us off returning.

I like that the host didn't fuss over us. She just welcomed us, let us in, and that was it. We never saw her again. Everything we wanted was provided, the breakfast was lovely, and the shower in the really clean bathroom was awesome. It was a lovely B&B in a lovely, quiet village.

The room and ensuite were absolutely spotless. Sizeable room with a small fridge for essentials. Angela was very responsive to us checking in later than allowed timeframe.

It can get a bit noisy whenever people upstairs walk around but I guess it comes with the age of the property. The mattress could be better.
