I stayed at this B&B 15-16 of May 2024 and it's one of the most cosy and beautiful places I have stayed at. Fiona is a wonderful host and gives you lots of information about the region, it's history and what to see. The Old Post House is beautifully decorated and you feel at home as soon as Fiona greets you at the door. A nice and peaceful room can be used for yoga or relaxation (yoga mats are available for guests). The rooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean. I loved this place! I even sent photos to my daughter who is a designer, to show her how lovely it was ❤. Unfortunately the place has been victim of a spam saying that the bathrooms are not clean. This is absolutely not true! Everything is perfectly clean. And the breakfast was delicious!

There is nothing I didn't like

Our room was a small, cozy, quiet room with an ensuite. It was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. There was a kettle, tea, and coffee in the room. Fiona, the host, was great. She recommended places to eat and made the reservation for us. The food was delicious. She gave us a number of choices for breakfast and all the dishes were nicely prepared and presented. (There was ample food) Fiona provided information about the local sites, including Poldark filming sites and information about the old tin mines in the area. Parking was off-site in the free parking lot provided by the town. It was close by, about 300 feet from the B&B. The rooms, 3 of them, are on the second floor, and they offered to carry the luggage up and down the stairs.

Very pleasant and attentive host. Well-appointed, tastefully decorated cosy room. Close to the town centre and all that it offers. Good advice on where to eat locally. Generous breakfast offerings. Dinner at the nearby Commerical Hotel was a step-up from standard pub offerings.

Not keen having to leave room to attend bathroom, albeit a private bathroom. A little anxious about leaving the car in a public carpark despite reassurances.

The Old Post House B&B is one of the finest stays we have had in a very long time, possibly ever. Truly, everything was perfect. Fiona and Dom are wonderful hosts and have thought of all the little things. They are friendly, give great local information, and have developed their own hiking guides to the area. The space is relaxing and comfortable from the yoga/sitting room, to the bedroom, to the dining room, all were fantastic. We would highly encourage you to book a stay with The Old Post House and explore this fascinating area.

Absolutely nothing.

The hosts were absolutely delightful and our room (and the whole property) was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had a wonderfully peaceful, calm and comfortable feel to it. The breakfast was extremely tasty and beautifully presented in the lovely dining room. There is even a pretty garden if you wish to relax outside in the fresh air. Fiona and Dom have put such a lot of thought and care into ensuring their guests have a relaxing stay.

Absolutely nothing. Even the weather was great! The only thing that might have been a bonus was private parking, but the public car park is free of charge and so close that it is not an issue at all.

The B&B was outstanding, the attention to detail was incredible, this is the best B&B we have stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of B&Bs the Hosts were so attentive and had incredible knowledge of the area and what to do and where to go. The bedrooms had everything, it was like home from home in style. We will be going back and recommending this to all our friends. Even the terrible weather did not dampen our spirits as it was terrible when we stayed. The Breakfast was next level all home made incredibly fresh tasty and very unique. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They had great tips about lovely things to do and even provided us with some cushions and blankets for our trip to the minak theatre. The breakfast was all freshly made and absolutely delicious. Our room was beautiful and spacious and had tea and coffee making facilities. They have created a lovely atmosphere and we would definitely return.

A beautiful B&B with wonderful hosts. Lovely room, healthy yummy breakfast and Fiona is a source of knowledge of what to do in St Just and other places nearby. I regret that I could not cancel the reservation for my next stop on the coast walk, otherwise I would have stayed a day longer. The bus stop is around the corner and if you have the time , visit the mining museum which is next to the B&B

Fiona and Dom are exceptional host. Great healthy breakfast with smoothies, Greek yogurt, fruit, porridge, juices, homemade bread, eggs... St Just is very lively to be a small village. It kept us entertained every night with quizzes, live music, open mics. Very comfortable mattress

The 1st night was a bit cold but Fiona gave us an extra blanket and switched on the heating during night the following days. Bathroom was just for our room, but outside the room. Not a big issue though as it has a bath.
