For starters, this was a bargain find in Perth. I was interested in touring the city and the hostel is actually a full apartment block for university students. Check-in was responsive, painless, and I was able to park my motorbike for free. Facilities came with everything, including a private room with ensuite toilette and shower, fast wifi, a full kitchen, balcony, and secure electronic locks. I really enjoyed my stay here and couldn't fault anything with the hostel.

Can't really complain about anything. If anything, there was a big spider in the kitchen due to someone leaving the sliding glass door to the patio open, but he/ she was well-behaved. Hostel is also roughly 25m from the city centre, but just 5-10m away from convenience stores and supermarkets, so it more than made up for it. That's really it.

Cheap and cheerful room, close to the city centre, most facilities in good working order, fully equipped kitchen if you needed it. Friendly helpful staff member checking people in. Free car parking on site, which was very close to the block I was in. All of the communal areas were very clean and kept tidy at all times. Comes with bedding, which I know some hostels don't, so that's a bonus.

The mattress would slide down the bed frame, only a minor inconvenience, the wardrobe door in my room was broken, leaving it unusable, not great if you're staying more than a couple of nights. The bedding had a slight musty smell but a little spray with febreeze and it was okay

Staff was awesome. Especially the manager. I'd left my cell phone behind and they managed to keep it for me and put it in the mail. Price is awesome for safe, clean and comfortable room. Especially considering you have a shower, sink and toilet in your room. Nice views from room and kitchen/common area.

Bring a mini fan - a little warm on the top floor even in just average warm weather. Not much air flow. Leave bath fan on at all times. Sheets not very comfy, but bed was. Bring a bottom sheet. Limited bus service so prepare for a walk or taxi if coming home late.

My expectations in booking a hostel, even though it was a single-occupancy room, were fairly low, so I was more than happily surprised by the set-up at Perth UHI Hostel. A corridor with only 4 rooms on it, a shared kitchen/lounge facility with all the appliances and utensils needed and, being on the top floor, a good view from the balcony. I couldn't have asked for more, and the staff were very approachable and helpful with all my enquiries. I'd definitely stay there again.

The room was very spacious with lots of places to store your luggage. I had a private bathroom with a shower.vrry clean and tidy. I would recommend staying here it is very good value for the money. The negative comments are just my personal needs.

i needed an extra pillow which would have been helpful as I needed to be propped up a bit. The bed was uncomfortable. There was also a green light on all night and I had to block the light coming in through an inch gap at the bottom of the door. Doors were noisy being shut.

This modern residence hall was a great place for our one-night stay. Two single beds, a small bathroom, and a kitchen just steps away. Basic, but comfortable and convenient, and certainly a great value. The reception staff were friendly helpful. By the way, the new Perth Museum with the Stone of Destiny is worth a visit, and the lush Branklyn Garden is a lesser-known treasure.

Unbeatable when it comes to what you get for a low price. I stayed in a good basic single room with toilet/shower. Very nice kitchen right outside of the door to my room. Kitchen is surrounded by big glass doors, that can be opened and there is a big balkony outside. So you can step outside and drink your morning coffe. 😁 I stayed two days in the hostel during a weekend. It was so relaxing and just what I needed to calm down after vistiting the busy Fringe festival in Edingburgh. I did not want to leave but it was fully booked the next day(Monday). But during my stay there where surprisingly enough hardly no other guest although it was a weekend. In my corridore there was five rooms but I was the only guest. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants. Maybe 500 meters to food store, maybe 800 m to fast food restaurants and 300 m more to big supermarket.

I definitely recommend this hostel. I even wanted to extend my stay, but it was fully booked the next day. But there where som smaller issues: There was no toilet issue or soap in the toilet. I think that is basic things. The hostel is a bit off the centre. When I came by train I had to wait almost an hour for the bus nr. 15 that takes you to the college/hostel. A little bit tricky to find the timer to turn on electricity in the kitchen. Because the timer is not in the kitchen, as you would suspect. It is out in in the corridore, just after you entered the door in!

Great value for money, the room is en-suite, and a really good size. The common area is nice enough, with a balcony, and all the main kitchen accessories. Quiet enough, and everything was withing walking distance.

Just the bed, maybe a better mattress, but still good enough for a few nights of sleep. Having a roll of tissue in the kitchen would be nice, or maybe changing the drying rag daily, as it smelled like it been there for days.

Good space. You stay in dormitories so you get your own space and room as well as your own bathroom. Shared kitchen / lounge was good , very easy to cook in and sit and enjoy your meal at the table.

It's not a bad distance to town but is still a good 25 minutes of walking time to arrive in town. This wasn't really a big deal for me but if you are not as able could be a problem. There is also no lift, so stairs are unavoidable.

The youth hostel room was a single bedroom with ensuite shower/bathroom. Shared kitchen had a balcony with an amazing view. Plenty of sockets in my room, nice warm shower, wifi was ample for my needs. It was easy to find and not too far from Town Centre. I left the car at YHA carpark and walked in, in 30 mins very easily. Morrisons supermarket was local too. Perth museum in town was free to visit with a great cafe.

Nothing.
