We love this hotel! The best in Plymouth for value for money. We could stay in a B&B but bringing our dog, and having such a great bar along with great music in a fun environment is amazing.

It is too hot in the rooms - please can there be better air conditioning or at least fans

I really like this hotel, it's my second year of staying with my 2 dogs and it's been a good stay again. Location is great and the rooms are a good size and clean. The staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much bother for them.

Parking is an issue, the car park is small and the cost is high for 24 hours, even with the hotel discount. The alternative car park isn't far away but is secluded and dark, so it's just to be prepared for that. Last year the one at the hotel had some free spaces but they were being used by people not at the hotel, so can completely understand the charge now. Otherwise no complaints!

The room was beautiful, very modern and well decorated. Bathroom was really nice too. The bed was so comfy. The hotel itself was so inviting, lots of space to sit and enjoy drinks with friends or get some work done on your laptop. We were also given a free complimentary cocktail that we could use at any point during our stay which was a really nice touch. The staff were so friendly and attentive too. Always smiling and clearly enjoying their work. Blown away by this hotel!

The only thing I will say is that the hotel isn’t necessarily within walking distance of a lot. It worked out for the first night of our stay because we were visiting to see a show at Plymouth Pavillions which was right behind the hotel. The rest of our trip, however, was filled with lots of taxi trips to get to other places. Not a massive issue but something to be aware of.

Food in bar was excellent and quick to order and receive. Liked the fact it had a small gym for customers to use. Staff were attentive and customer service great. Bed was very comfortable and rooms were immaculate. Hotel is in nice quiet location. Décor throughout is very trendy and would appeal to young clientele.

They encourage customers to work from the 'library' but I prefer to work from my room. This was not very comfortable to do as there is only a pouffe stool to sit on by a small table in the room. Proper chair in the rooms for office work to be completed and a larger table surface to complete work using laptop would have been better. I had to move the kettle tray to the floor each time I had to use the table which was a little bothersome. My back also ached after a few hours working on the laptop in the room due to sitting on a stool.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere downstairs in the bar area and on Tuesday night, there was FAB live music. Free cocktail for guests is a nice touch (although would be nice to have 1 for each night you stay :P), Love how dog friendly it is although we did not have a dog, we recommended this hotel to family that do. Breakfast was lovely with hot and cold options and so glad they had oat milk available on the side to use for coffee and cereal. Hotel felt very secure with the key card and having to use the key card to use the lift. The loaded nachos were fab as well. The room was clean and had decent shower products included (Hair & body wash and conditioner). It had all the basic amenities like a kettle, tea, hangers, hairdryer and the wifi is free throughout! The whole vibe of the hotel is very modern and relaxed. It was perfect for a 2 night stay

Paying over £6 for 2 bottles of water was a bit absurd... Even if they were in glass bottles!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The room was very new/modern and clean. The location is pretty good…about midway between the nicer bits of Plymouth (The Barbican and Royal William Yard), so it’s handy for walking to places, but the particular street the hotel is in doesn’t have an awful lot very close by. There is, however, a nice-looking restaurant across the road and a handy little grocery story very nearby. Some very nice touches like the welcome cocktail. Plus it’s quite rare in Plymouth to get air conditioning (in experience, at least) as many of the hotels and guest houses are much older. Might stay here again, if the price is right.

perhaps a little on the small side for the price - particularly the bathroom. And oddly there was no kettle in the room (there was a Nespresso machine, but no kettle) and no safe deposit box. It also doesn’t have a wardrobe or drawers, instead it just has a rail for clothes. Call me old-fashioned, but I quite like putting clothes away properly, especially during a longer stay, as it looks untidy when everything is visible. The hotel’s ground floor was a little too young and trendy for my liking (music was quite loud when you were in reception, and the decor is very bright). But issues of style like that are very subjective, and maybe I’m just not the target clientele!

To be honest, this hotel is 'almost' perfect, if it wasn't for location in and area of Plymouth that is being developed and the breakfast. Staff were wonderful, and hotel is super comfortable.

The cooked breakfast was very poor quality, with cheap sausages, cheap baked beans, cheap ketchup (not heinz), cheap water down fruit juice (more akin to squash) and bacon that resembled beef jerky. Also had to wait for about 20 mins for the staff to replenish the cooked breakfast and the croissants. If it was for the cereal, there would be no breakfast at all. My wife even had to ask them to make her a caffeine free coffee because they didn't do it. ...Who doesn't do caffeine free coffee these days???

MOXY is an upbeat, funky donk type hotel, the fresh smell of the air freshener greets you as you enter and you are hooked. It is a great smell to be honest and that is from someone who has a strong nose. I asked the gentleman and he said you can buy it online from their website, the check in is easy, the reception and bar are side by side and it is more of a feel of young people, noisy, pool table, other table games etc but it adds to the character the hotel wants to portray. Once checked in you take the lifts and it turns quiet, long corridors, eerie silence and then the room, beautifully set up, the TV has a personalised message with your name welcoming you to the place, i think a very nice touch and the beds are comfortable. The rooms is not big but set up in a way that is very ergonomical. THe bathroom is clean and tidy and plenty of towels for 2 guests. All in all a great place to stay. The location is excellent, 2 minutes walk and you are at the Marina with beautiful views or you can drool at the bit luxury Yachts of the rich and the mighty.

Parking is the biggest let down of the place. as admitted by the gentleman at the reception "we have 44 parking spaces and 200 rooms" you do the maths? The Blue badge spaces are only 3 and the nearest parking is about 5 minutes walk which is pay and display. I wasted 15 minutes looking for parking, had to go to the reception and then back to the car and despite a blue badge had to drop off my son and then take the car to the parking lot. Breakfast is expensive considering whats on the menu so politely declined

Staff were a credit to the property, super friendly and accommodating on arrival, complimentary Moxy cocktail was a nice touch. The room was very comfortable and well appointed considering the price paid. The hotel had a modern, fresh and "young" vibe however was equally inviting for more mature visitors. Seemed to be a popular meeting place for business professionals. It felt like a popular place to be, but was not too over crowded or daunting in any way - The balance felt perfect.

Parking was not obvious upon arrival however this was probably poor forward planning on my part as the instructions provided were good in fairness.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We'd booked a lower cost hotel for this trip so our expectations were low, but this hotel is fantastic! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The decor is beautiful and the facilities are very well thought out. The large bar and lounge areas are really comfortable spaces to relax. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a large double bed and decent shower. I liked the modern feature wall with hooks and hanging space. Location is great... it only took us 5 mins to walk to The Hoe and maybe another 10 to The Barbican, although we preferred to dawdle around and take in the views. There are plenty of places to stop for coffee or lunch along the way. We will definitely choose this hotel again on future visits.

We can't fault anything at all.
