This was the highlight stay of my son and husbands recent Scotland trip, the accommodation was outstanding and did not disappoint after much research prior to their trip. They enjoyed late afternoon drinks on the lawn enjoying the fantastic view and strolling into the pub in town. Room was great as my husband was travelling with our son I message the hotel to see if they could split the King bed they confirmed almost immediately and it was done when they arrived. The breakfast WOW WOW WOW pancakes and eggs Benedict were sensational. I would highly recommend Cuillin Hotel

The friendly staff, especially Arron, who is in the restaurant department. He made us felt very welcomed the moment we arrived, late and at dinner time. We met him again at breakfast over 2 days. He would check in on our plans for the day and gave us useful tips. He makes us feel like meeting an old friend, taking care of us at breakfast table; always professional and helpful. He definitely made the difference at this hotel. We will miss him and he is definitely a valuable staff of the hotel. Thanks Arron!

Nothing.

Staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. They changed our original rooms when they found out that we were unable to deal with stairs and added a second mattress topper when we explained we were experiencing difficulties with hard mattresses at other hotels. Rooms were nicely sized and I even had a partial view of the harbor.

Considering the cost of the rooms, I guess I expected everything to be in working order. The TV was malfunctioning to the point that we had to switch off the power at the wall to keep it turned off at night. The bathroom toilet seat was crooked and the bathroom floor was very slippery if you stepped off of the bath mat. No exhaust fan, so the floors remained wet after cleaning unless you opened the windows. If you opened the windows, bees would come in. Tv and toilet were promptly repaired once reported. There were also drip marks on the wall where it appeared that a leak had occurred.

Arrival and welcome was warm and friendly the receptionist insisted on helping carry the heavy suitcases up to the room, AND we were given a complementary upgrade to a bigger room. The room was fantastic with a perfect view over the harbour. Huge, comfortable bed and gigantic bathroom. There was a party until 2 am on our first night , just below our room, and we were worried it would keep us awake, but we heard absolutely nothing. We found a 3km (3 mile?) walking circuit around the coast and the hills leaving from the hotel, which we really enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent and every single one of the service staff were friendly helpful and professional

Our dinner in the View restaurant was not up to the price and the fabulous setting. My slow cooked beef shin, which I was so looking forward to, had been shredded and then packed together in some kind of cylindrical shape (weird), and was way too salty. The salmon was fine but not the best we had on Skye. Either the chef had a bad day or she needs an upgrade

This hotel went above and beyond in every capacity during my stay! From the receptionist, to the bar tenders and wait staff, everyone was kind and helpful with exceptional service. They do all the little things that make your stay feel luxurious! Loved everything about my stay at this little slice of paradise on the Isle of Skye. Thank you so much!!!

I can't recommend The Cuillin Hills Hotel highly enough. The hotel room was beautifully appointed as was the bathroom and both were so spacious that the two of us had no trouble storing our substantial luggage. We ate in both nights and the restaurant was as fine dining as we've had anywhere in the world. Breakfast naturally was perfect and most importantly ( we love our coffee in Melbourne ) the coffee was the best we've had in the UK. Last of all and probably most importantly was the fact that everyone who worked at Cuillin Hills were unfailingly freindly and helpful. I rarely do reviews of places I either stay or eat but I feel compelled to share my experience with fellow travellers. It is by far the best quality and best value accomodation we have stayed at in the UK.

Fantastic view out onto the bay. Great size room, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were fantastic- so welcoming and really helpful. They all made the experience that extra bit special.

Great dinner menu, but some dishes were a tad underwhelming. The mussels were excellent. Sea trout on the specials menu was cooked beautifully but the taste of the fish was completely dominated by the herbs in the body of the fish. Breakfast - smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were perfect, but traditional Scottish breakfast had a deep fried taste to everything. I really don’t want to be critical as we loved our stay so much, but the food did disappoint a little.

View was fantastic. Hotel room was excellent.

Breakfast was clearly an issue for the hotel. Did not eat in the hotel in the evening so not able to comment on dinner. Each day presented an issue for the staff. Extremely slow. One couple were completely forgotten. Today our breakfast mains arrived before our cereals and drinks etc. Yesterday our cereals arrived and then nothing for absolutely ages. In fact we were the only people left at breakfast on Saturday I actually thought the staff had all gone home.

we booked a cosy double room, when we arrived at the hotel to check in we were informed we had been upgraded to a bigger standard double room. the room was spacious, huge bed, huge TV with hotel info/menu app on it, comfortable armchairs, bathrobes & slippers available but didn't use them. plenty of hot water, fab rain shower, huge fluffy towels. well stocked bar, chatty bar staff. we enjoyed a tasty evening meal in the dining room, slept well in the very comfortable bed, and had breakfast in the dining room overlooking the harbour - we only stayed for one night but would defo go back for more.
