The Hotel is located within a small an isolated peninsula, is the perfect place to relax, and enjoy Skye Island, it has a beautiful view. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.

There was nothing I did not like. The services was great, the food was good, and the location unique. Just bear in mind that is a small family owed hotel, and dinner services including food might take some time. Nonetheless, the hotel staff will always let you know expected waiting time (do not forget to book your dinner in advance!) Thank you for everything Redwood House 👏👏

Peaceful and beautiful location surrounded by the mountains and lakes at Isle of Skye. A widespread of food for breakfast and offered dinner options as well, which was fantastic. We enjoyed the cottages that we stayed in, as well as the common games room with the lake view. John and Annette were extremely friendly and provided excellent service. They accommodated and welcomed us with great service and smiles, despite our late check in and early check out. Even taking the time to show us to our various rooms and providing detailed instructions at check in despite the crazy rain and in darkness. Really appreciated their service and glad that we stayed at Redwood House during our visit at Isle of Skye. Would highly recommend and visit again!

Fabulous hotel on the shore with great views of the water, hills, and farms, reached at the end of a long, winding lane through sheep pastures. Lambs and ewes surrounded us (and occasionally had to be very gently coaxed off the road). The room was large, well appointed, with a terrific view. We had dinner at Redwood House every night of our stay and found the food excellent and the staff welcoming and great to talk to. This was a great base for exploring Skye. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nothing. The road has potholes but these are easily avoided. You need a car to reach the hotel--but we rented a car for our hiking outings so this was not a problem at all.

What a wonderful setting for our stay on the Isle of Skye! The room was clean, a very comfortable size with two padded chairs and table, had a beautiful view of the ocean, and was quiet! We also had access to a separate "reading-morning" room. Large dining room view of an unnamed Loch. The continental breakfast was pleasant with a variety of food, including coffee, tea, and juice. Staff so friendly. Our springtime visit (end of April) provided an opportunity to see a lot of lambs and an otter pair. Parking great.

I wish we could have arrived earlier and stayed more than 2 nights. The access off the main road is about 2 miles long and is a one track road through multiple sheep farms, so don't be in a hurry, especially in the spring. Either plan on eating at the Redwood House the night you get there or eat before. You won't want to leave that first night.

Beautiful bucolic setting over looking water with many sheep in the meadow. Relaxing welcoming environment. The rooms were large and very clean. Loved the staff!!!! Although no cooked breakfast there was large assortment of good food.

The 2 mile drive at night down the driveway was a small challenge which prevented late night adventures, but we loved hanging out at the redwood house!

The location was very remote, which was exactly what we were looking for, but we definitely made sure to do the drive while there was still plenty of sunlight to avoid hitting any potholes or sheep. The people working there were excellent and extremely helpful. The room felt a little stuffy, but we were checking in on a hot day, so that could explain it.

The bed could have been a little comfier but really that is the only complaint. The room was comfortable and the view was excellent. I cannot stress enough how helpful the staff were.

Comfortable bed

Host inhospitable. Denied he had not responded to emails and said I had not sent any. Next morning showed me he had located the email. Then told me, in hearing of other guests, that he had terminal cancer! I find that "deyond the pale!" Breakfast was lousy. Reception area an apalling mess. Shower curtain bottom mouldy.

amazing secluded location with the views over the loch. we stayed in the courtyard room with a cosy bedroom upstairs. the breakfast is all you need (continental), the restaurant opens every other day and the food was ok. the owners allowed us to stay with our daughter (3 y/o) as an exception as this is an adults only place.

no cleaning during the stay - we did not mind it but some guests may expect it. also the room had a bit of unpleasant smell. there is a shortage of staff on the entire island, but prices remain premium.

Beautiful location, extremely friendly helpful staff, great food -- couldn't be better! A charming-looking place to stay -- and (importantly) very comfortable, too. Not exactly a central location on the island (not that that's the property's fault!) -- but, hey -- just that much more beautiful scenery to get to drive in, to reach other venues!

Well.... if someone could re-surface that 2 mile road leading to it -- ! But, not a real problem. I and my car were just fine after 3 days of driving back and forth on it.

The hotel staff were fantastic !!! We had such a great time whilst staying their, nothing was too much trouble and we couldn’t praise this place enough. Off the beaten track ( a little) and offers excellent views of the loch. This real was an amazing place to stay especially if you are visiting Skye to see Kilt Rock, the Old Mann of Stor, the fairy pools or Portree.

Nothing.
