Warm welcome from staff. Smooth check in and good explanation why access corridor had carpet up at time. Price is very reasonable as too many places have hiked their prices in Skye because of the very high levels of tourism. We had our dog, Harley, with us and the staff treated him very well. Hope Megan got a good photo for the Gallery of Doggy Visitors Breakfast was exceptional. Superb coffee, porridge and eggs Benedict. Really was amongst the best breakfasts we have enjoyed. Sadly we had to forego our breakfast on our last day as we had to leave very early.

Decor is a little tired and would have liked a second chair in room. A better set out hospitality tray e.g. with a place to rest teaspoon so you don’t dirty table top and all the sachets were in the cups so you have to empty cups, then leave sachets loose as nowhere else to tidy them. But these are minor niggles in what was essentially a very clean and comfy room

Amazing location with beautiful views of the harbour. We got the last available room on street level - it was still a great view and there weren't many people on the outdoor deck or walking by the windows in mid-Sep. Reception was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean. Breakfast was really good, with your choice of made-to-order hot options as well as self-serve cereals/yogurt/pastries.

We were very lucky to find parking right in front of the hotel. We saw other frustrated guests trying to find a spot elsewhere as there isn't any dedicated area to stop briefly to check in/drop off bags. The hotel is very clear about having to park elsewhere and Reception provides clear directions on options once you get in. The hallway carpet had been ripped out due to recent flooding.

Location was fantastic. Sea View room was great to look out on the harbor. Tables on the water out front of the hotel were great spot for takeaway fishnchips from The Chippy. Breakfast was good too!

Driving/Parking is definitely a bit of a challenge as the location is very tight and parking is extremely limited. We lucked out with the last space along the pier. Otherwise you use lots farther away which could be a struggle with luggage. But it's all about the history of the hotel and location, they can't do anything better on their end with the parking.

Room was clean and functional. My partner checked us in, so I did not interact with the staff. It should be noted that I did ask some specific questions prior to my stay about restaurants and the area comma and the staff were very responsive and it very helpful with the information that was requested period

It was not mentioned anywhere that the hotel isat the bottom of a steep hill. Being mobility impaired this meant I could not leave to explore the area-my partner who is fit even struggled to climb the hill. Something else worthnoting is that the stairs inside the hotel- which uou will need to climb if you want breakfast- are extremely narrow. All in all all in all it was a mediocre experience made worse by the fact that we could not leave the hotel due to its location period the parking situation is a bominable and there's virtually no where to eat even though we did ask about the food situation ahead of time so we were somewhat prepared period I think that for what it was we had a decent night but I would not stay here again

Staff were very accomodating. Location was excellent, on the harbour with magnificent views as advertised. Breakfast was exceptional. We had an issue with our toilet not working and as it was the weekend we were moved into a sister hotel (The Pink Hotel) nearby, also on the harbour which had much better rooms and facilities.

We had asked for a double room however were presented with two single beds which could not be remedied until the next day. Original room was very small and bathroom was old and cramped. Would not stay in the original hotel again however would stay at the alternative Pink Hotel as it is fabulous, newly renovated and spacious. Also had a double bed as originally requested.

The location for the Rosedale is spectacular!! You look right out to Portree Harbour which is stunning! Our room was spacious and lovely!! The staff was friendly and welcoming, not to mention so helpful! The breakfast was delicious! There were lots of options and the staff in the restaurant were professional and efficient! We had dinner at the restaurant as well. It was delicious! We would definitely recommend the Rosedale!

We loved everything!

Harbour view from bedroom was awesome, cooked breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. Room was large with comfortable armchairs to sit in and enjoy the view. Good towels and toiletries provided. Central location means everything is to hand.

We were on the second floor so as the hotel states there are steep stairs to consider, in fact make sure you get a ground floor room if you have any issues as there is no lift.

Our stay at the Rosedale Hotel was such a pleasure, mainly due to the efforts of Piotr Pirek who made our stay so very memorable. Piotr was attentive, friendly, and professional and seemed to be the man who could and did handle all situations at the Rosedale Hotel. He recommended restaurants for dinner and suggested local sites to visit. He also served as bartender, dinner and breakfast host and waiter, and the all-around man who could and did get anything and everything done. Rosedale Hotel largely owes its success to Piotr and his staff. Otherwise, we enjoyed the proximity to the center of town and the quiet solitude of being able to open our windows at night to listen to the lapping of the water and the sound of the gulls.

Understandably, it is probably difficult for the Rosedale Hotel to obtain staff, however, I think Piotr could use some assistance. He appears to be a very hard-working conscientious employee who strives to be friendly and helpful to all guests.

The location with its harbour view is perfect. There is a wonderful walk along the headland north of the harbour, the Scorrbreac. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had dinner here and it was very good. A perfect risotto, which takes time to be this good, topped with hake. Then a great cheese course. It could only have been better if the bar had had port. Breakfast was very nice, but the poached eggs on the eggs Benedict were over cooked. A small let down.

The location was brilliant, our view was amazing. Sadly the hotel bar had shut for the season but plenty more in the town for food & drinks. Breakfast was one of the best we had on our Scottish road trip. Dogs welcome too

Corridors were a little tired and we were told one had been damaged by a flood but the rooms were nice & the eating area was also nice. So didn’t bother us.
