The check in was really welcoming,smiling faces and helpful information about the property. The room was big,everything I needed,the bathroom was big,clean and plenty of towels. The cleaning ladies were polite,helpful and always asked if I needed anything else. The breakfast was super,very efficient and cooked to order. Every time I walked through reception to the car park there was a warm,friendly hello. The staff really are excellent

There wasn’t much not to like. My only frustration was the WiFi. I had to go through the process of signing in every time- even if it were minutes later. But it was a minor frustration and not something that meant a lower mark. I would have no hesitation in staying here again and recommending it to anyone. Terrific value for money

Paid to book a larger room and this was well worth it. My positive revue is based on this upgrade with the spaciousness of the room, the large bed, the comfortable seating area, the large bathroom, etc. Very friendly staff, especially the night porter who warmly welcomed us. Good breakfast and excellent restaurant service. Easy parking and easy to find the hotel.

The hotel is well laid out but very "tired". Really does need an intensive make-over to remove the wear and tear which gives it a shabby feel. It does not compare well to the sleeker chains. (However, we will continue to use it as it is clean, with good staff and very convenient location.)

Check in was simple, room was in a quiet part of the hotel, as requested. We did not take breakfast due to early departures, but in the past it has been very good. Car park is big, but you need to be there before 10pm (see below). Staff were very polite & efficient, unlike quite a few other hotel chains. Overall, it was a nice stay & would come again.

On the night we wanted a drink before going to bed, we went to the attached bar ....... unfortunately, there was a VERY loud & untuneful Karaoki going on ..... totally impossible to relax & we left straight away. It would be much better to have a separate bar area for people who just want to relax quietly. The overflow car park area we had to use on Saturday night was completely overgrown at the edges & obviously full of wildlife that left very large piles of poo all over our cars ; It was a busy weekend, but it was not the best way to start Sunday morning.

The location was perfect for the purpose of our visit ( to attend a wedding) it was cosy, conveniently located and the standard of rooms/facilities more than adequate for our needs. The staff were all courteous, friendly, helpful and professional.

The hotel lacked up to date facillites (in room) for a disabled guest in our party (i.e, lack of wet room/ walk in shower) but this should have been pointed out on your site when I requested this for that guest so I cannot fault the hotel. However I do expect that with current legal standards regarding accessibility most hotels of this calibre and size should have been updated to make provision for this. It should be a basic expectation.

Easy parking. Quiet, despite there being a function on there was no noise to be heard in the room. Staff were efficient and friendly. Well placed for access to both Portsmouth and Southsea. Food in the adjoining Hungry Horse was very good.

It was a little ‘tired’ Could do with sprucing up. Although non slip bath mats were available from reception if needed, the sign stating this is tiny so wasn’t aware for the first shower. Could do with a grab rail on the wall for getting in and out of the bath as, even for able bodied guests, there is nothing to hold on to.

The check in was so friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. There wasn't a view as such but it was okay.Lots of towels in the bathroom,the bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff always asked me if there was anything else I required. The breakfast was very good. Lots of choice of cereals,fuit,pastries and the main part was cooked to order and was very good and quick too. The location,just outside the city was ideal for me as I could get on the motorway very quickly.The reception staff were always smiling and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The staff were extremely helpful, I am disabled, and everything they could do to help, was no bother, from helping me with the menu to bringing drinks to the table, the reception team ,were able to help get the right size taxi, and inform us of what was happening locally, the food was excellent, their behaviour was above and beyond my expectations, if you want a place to stay for a day or more, I recommend this place.

Being a grumpy old g**, I was saddened by the fact that I couldn't find something to moan about.

Room are very spacious, beds, pillows, are very very clean and comfy. I also like location, if you have car, they have plenty parking on site, they have very nice big restaurants which you can access thru hotel, 2 min drive have McDonald's, lidl, Starbucks and many shops. I went with family with 2 kids, everyone likes it. Hotel staff is very very nice , polite, humble, provide all information needed with respect. Last not least - price for stay is very fair, compare to other hotel, I stay family room which have 3 bed, 2 single and one double.

Room was spacious - we had paid for a larger room bed was very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast a choice of cooked or continental .

Bathrooms need to be updated as did some of the decor - it would not put me off staying as it was spotless. Hungry horse pub - on the 3 nights we were there we ate all of our meals - Sunday lunch was a disaster - in our opinion they over booked - we waited approx 45mins for 4 cold dinners - they were changed and money refunded . Next time we would eat a lot later when it had quietened down. Found out on our last day hotel houses ladies who need refuge and also some refugees. We were never aware of this and it did not spoil our holiday. People we did see at breakfast were beautifully behaved (children) we would still return here

I've stayed here many times (double figures) as we visit the isle of wight regularly and have a pre night here so we can get an early ferry, parking is free and convenient, the hungry horse is a short walk down the corridor , and it's a nice quiet area

Hotel is in need of a refurb, modernisation. but to be honest, it's a no frills budget hotel, it's clean and comfortable and perfect for what we use it for. if it gets refurbished the price will go up, so we're happy with it, as is
