Need bath mat in shower. Slippery. Bathroom windowsill needs painting Clean or substitute bathroom rug every day since shared bathroom and people get out of shower onto rug. Kitchen curtain has tears. Replace it. Bedroom #4 overhead light fixture should be changed. Style not suitable. Seems a little to college dorm like. Put in simple fixture. Instructions for door entry codes needs more clarity. The first response was always “entry failed.” Instructions should say the push the * key first to clear.

Staff were super friendly, communications were excellent. WiFi once I connected was good too.

Communal areas noisy in the night (3am), not owners fault as it is down to the other guests not being respectful.

The facilities were kept very clean and the property has a nice selection of board games if you wish to socialise in the living room. If you prefer space or like things quiet the rooms are not backing onto each other so there is no issue with neighbouring people. The location is excellent if you want a view and an array of restaurants or shops, there is even a car park at an affordable price just outside.

There is an issue in the early mornings with the noise outside on the streets, mostly due to there being a corner shop below. My partner and I woke a few times to noisy shoppers and children. The bed in our room was very stiff and not particularly comfy.

It is actually an apartment transformed into a hotel. I only stayed one night. I think I was the only traveller so I don't know how it is like when it is full. Everything was fine and clean. It was very quiet (because I was alone). It's conveniently located near the train station and the touristic attraction in the port. I could leave my bag after check out but it cannot be watched by a staff member so you need to rely on the honesty of other possible travelers. I guess that as long as you don't leave any valuable, it should be fine.

Not necessarily a down side but depending on when you check in/out, you don't meet any staff (which I guess makes it a cheaper option). So it's almost like an Airbnb where you get all the info on the phone. On the other hand, the staff was very responsive by message so I could easily communicate with them.

Perfect location, just a couple of minutes walk from the historic dockyard and nautical attractions, also really close to walk across the road to Gunwharfe Keys, the ferry terminal, bus and train station. Secure parking is such a bonus and it's just a mile from the cross channel ferry terminal. The individual bedrooms are very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The public areas and kitchen are spacious, clean and with high quality furnishings and fittings. I highly recommend it and for me it will be the first place I book for not only an overnight stop but also a longer sightseeing trip. Great value accomodation.

At the price and with the amenities on offer and the location it's really difficult to find fault. If there was on-suite that would be good but I would then be expecting to pay double.

Excellent location, Reasonable Cost, Good security, plenty of space, a balcony to smoke(if you desire), Privacy, a kitchen to cook your own food. Perfect accommodation for a small group, family or Students.

Unfortunately(or fortunately) we only stayed for one night. Everything was perfect until the evening. Found some little critters (cockroaches) running about. Not major but put us off cooking. I believe they will be dealt with after speaking to management.

I felt very comfortable in my room and in the house. So i could enjoy the second part of my stay in Portsmouth to my full satisfaction. The provided equipment in the room, the kitchen, the clean bathrooms, the friendly team helped a lot to this conclusion. It is a nice welcome to be able to make a cup of tea as a start. The guests seem to be more and quite considerate, compared to other places. Thankyou again and will surely keep this place in my mind for further journeys.

The use of the shower is a bit tricky to maintain the right temperature, but you get used to it.

The location was excellent, only a few minutes walk to the bus and train station and the popular Gunwharf Quays. The apartment was great, our bedroom was roomy and had lots of space to hang clothes and to work on a desk. The kitchen was very large with plenty of facilities to cook and make tea and coffee with fresh milk in the fridge and a treats jar. Both the dinning and lounge areas were very comfortable. The view of the Spinnaker Tower from the dinning table is great. We are very happy to book again when in Portsmouth.

The location was hard to find even with a sat Nav, owner was very helpful whilst we tried to find the property, When we are told the flats were on top of the premier shop and entrance next to shop it was easy to find. Bedroom was roomy and shared living area bigger and more comfortable then expected, cleanliness was great and there was a massive shared kitchen which was a lot bigger then expected milk, tea, coffee, sugar and chocolate bars provided for free, and space for three cars at rear of property. Could not pick location better for a local pub and HMS warrior which was a 5 minute walk from property. One joint bathroom and one shower room with toilets provided and washing machine plus dryer provided for use. We were pleasantly surprised with this property and we would consider returning at a later date. Bedrooms had two small towels/two bath towels, desk, lamp and wardrobe and double beds.

Trying to find the place

College Street Abode is a great place to stay, location is excellent, rooms well set up and the kitchen facilities are great and large, also large dinning and lounge room for guests to use. Bonuses include tea, coffee and fresh milk and even a treats jar. Also pleased to have a parking area for our vehicle. Bathroom facilities are shared and are kept cleaned everyday by the cleaners. We would be very happy to book again when we return to Portsmouth.
