The B&B was beautiful and spotless, cannot fault this place. Our room was a twin with shower. We had a perfect break. Breakfast was very well organised by Tina, selection offered was great, we were really pleased. Never been to Scarborough before this was our first time. We loved it there, this B&B was a short walk to the town and harbour. Scarborough felt so relaxing and such a friendly place to visit. The town was brilliant, every shop you could think of was there. Also plenty of places to eat out. Tina was the perfect host, down to earth and such a lovely lady.

I cannot say anything negative about this B&B, or Scarborough.

Powys Lodge is in a very good location for easy access to the South bay and for Scarborough town centre. I got a really friendly warm welcome from Tina. She helped me with my case and showed me my room which was fresh, modern and very comfortable. I had everthing I needed. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was a small wardrobe and drawers to put clothes in. There was a kettle with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits provided. The ensuite was very clean and had hand wash, shampoo, soap and shower cap as well as the clean towels. There is a nice sitting room where you can help yourself to hot drinks and there are plenty of books to borrow. The dining room is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. A good choice of times and menu were offered. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay at Powys Lodge and will certainly be staying again!

A very nice lady welcomed me in her lodge.She's such a lovely lady that I just have to mention it.You really feel warm and welcomed when you meet her. She really cares about her customers. The breakfast was perfect and offered all what you like.Warm food as well and a very big range for a proper breakfast. Even the interior stuff in the rooms show that she's put a lot of effort and love in decoration and furnishings. The rooms were clean and everything in this small lodge was just phenomenal! She made the best out of this small place but that's the reason why you feel so comfortable in there. Tina, just stay so nice and warm-hearted as you are and carry on the same way you've been doing so far. Last minute decision to go to the coast on Bank Holiday weekend & found accommodation at Powys Lodge which was very reasonable for a 2 night stay. The accommodation is in an ideal location, a short stroll to South Cliff & not far from the main beach & town centre. Tina was the perfect hostess, so friendly & accommodating & made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Parking was straightforward & permits are provided for on street parking. We parked up on arrival & didn't move the car again until leaving 2 days later & it wasn't an issue. Breakfast was so nice & everything was so fresh & tasty & really set us up for the day. In fact, both days we didn't eat again until the evening! Would definitely recommend Powys Lodge.

Everything was perfect.

Stayed here for two nights with my daughter. The owner is so welcoming and friendly, felt so comfortable on arrival and she was so helpful with information on the area. We were able to park in the drive, and if no space, we were given a parking permit for on street parking. The area was nice and quiet. Spotlessly clean interior, the room was modern and fresh 👌 We were asked if we needed anything fresh for the second night, however we did not need anything more. Breakfast was delicious 😋 Excellent value for money.

Really enjoyed my stay here and thought given the standard of room it was very good value. The room was very comfortable, modern appearance and spotlessly clean. Choice of breakfast was very varied and well cooked. Tina was, the owner, is very friendly and communication with her was faultless. Its about 10/15 minutes walk from the train station towards Bridlington . It will be my first choice for visits to Scarborough in future

Low shower pressure when multi rooms are using especially in the morning

Tina made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped over the threshold, welcomed with open arms and nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she always goes above and beyond! If your like me who is rather fussy and only stays at home because of cleanliness in hotels etc then you MUST try Powys, this is our second stay now with them and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Good value for money and the breakfast is absolutely gorgeous! Very sad to leave again, but we defo will be back!!!! Thank you Tina for your amazing hospitality and for playing a big part in my birthday weekend being special! (If anybody is looking for somewhere to eat, book into the Kamsang Chinese restaurant OH EM GEE absolutely amazing food, try it and find out you’ll thank me later!!! 😂)

The B&B was in a Victorian house yet felt contemporary and well decorated. Only 10 mins walk away from the sea front Esplanade on the South side of town near Clock Tower and town centre 15 mins walk away. The landlady was very welcoming and friendly. I felt that she takes great pride in her business and it shows in the detail. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable along with the breakfast room. Great value for money. Breakfast choice good, tasty and well presented.

First visit here,but Tina was the perfect host and made me feel most welcome from the moment I arrived,until I left. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.The cooked breakfasts were excellent and more than enough choice to suit everyone's need.

Personally a chair in the room would have been preferred to the stool,but fully appreciate it is dependant on the space available and not a major issue.

Everything. From the warm welcome from Tina on arrival. To the lovely clean room and the tasty freshly made breakfast each morning. To the little things like our goody bag of extra tea, milk etc. that made the holiday so good that we didn't want to come home. Tina really made sure we were ok and had everything we needed. It was like staying with a dear friend. Can't wait to stay again soon.
