Breakfast was provided even though it was Christmas and Boxing day.Food was good. Service good, very quiet which was lovely and friendly staff. A beautiful building.

Location is strange as it is the middle of an industrial estate but having lived in Skelmesdale for years this doesn't bother me, as it is very quick to get to off the motorway. Didn't like the televisions in all social areas, the same news was repeated over and over again. There was not much to not like, apart from the televisions it was very relaxing in the bar area. The rubbish when coming off the motorway by the Skelmersdale sign is embarrassing, it is not a good advert for the hotel.

Really easy access onto motorway as we had to travel to Formby several times. Eating in the restaurant first evening have to say very good quality and really nice service. Breakfast was outstanding. One very small problem sink in our room would not drain away reported this reception and it was sorted out within 15 minutes that is what you call service..

On a Saturday night a few people had congregated at that the entrance and were smoking as a non smoker this really isn't good.

The hotel was lovely, the bar and dining areas are really cosy. The staff were very friendly & helpful too. The food was really good. The bathroom was very clean and modern. The room was lovely and warm and it was easy to adjust the temperature on the radiator.

The rooms were very basic and old looking. Had the rest of the hotel not been so nice I’d not choose to stay there again. The top cover on the bed had a stain on it, it looked like smeared makeup, maybe a broken blusher? I didn’t take any makeup with me as I was going for surgery the next day so I knew it hadn’t come from me. The tv was at an awkward angle, it was almost tilted ever so slightly upward, it could have done with being tilted forward a little more so that it was at a better angle when led on the bed.

I liked the age of the building and how nicely it was converted into the hotel. Food was lovely and staff were very helpful in regards to assisting our needs.

Beds were not as comfortable as we expected and the location of the hotel in an industrial estate lets it down. We did request that both rooms be close together as my mum is disabled but this was not possible. We ended up having to swaap rooms so that my mum could have the ground floor room and my wife, niece and i had to fit in a twin room on single beds and I am a very tall and big man with my own disabilities, so a single bed was not adequate for me.

We really loved being just down the hall from the wedding we were there to attend but somehow didn't hear any of the noise! The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy. The TV was a good size and resolution, and for the most part easy to use. The bathroom was really well designed and roomy, the shower was great. The breakfast in the morning was lovely

One of the lights next to the bed was broken, flashing on and off. By the time we noticed it was late so not worth bringing to the attention of staff but the staff were lovely so I'm sure they would have sorted it for us. It didn't really affect our stay

The staff were friendly and helpful. There were 2 large parties on the night of our stay. We allocated a room as far away from the parties as possible. As a consequence we had a good night's sleep and were not disturbed at all.

The WiFi in our room was poor. Our connections kept dropping in and out. I had to move to the Bar to send some emails. We mentioned this at reception. The staff member was suitably apologetic and said she would pass the message on. She attributed the situation to the hotel being fully booked. However even after a lot of people had checked out, it still didn't work well. A small point. Toast was delivered to the table very quickly after ordering. I had cereals first and by the time I came to eat my toast it was no longer toast!

Breakfast was excellent, good range of products and quality items served in a buffet style. Really helpful and friendly staff. The size of the suite we stayed in was very good. Overall decor of the hotel is nice with a mixture of modern and traditional in the main part of the hotel. Good size car park for ample parking. Free parking too.

Room: 45. The bedroom and ensuite was a little tired, some light fittings not working, and a bit tatty and dusty in places. Found a few hairs. Decor was a little tacky too, and very dim lighting. The room had been set for one person, therefore not enough towels or tea and coffee for two people. Hallways could do with a touch of paint too. The location of the hotel is in an industrial estate with a very loud fan operating from a factory opposite 24 hours a day, which could be heard in our bedroom. Thank goodness we had a fan to help cancel some of the noise. Minor gripes.

This was a very welcome haven after a nightmare drive up the M5& M6 from Devon in the rain en route to Scotland, nearly 3 hours longer than it should have taken. We had booked a suite and were grateful for the extra space. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves - and chef cooked my fillet to perfection, one of the best I can remember. All the staff were really friendly and efficient - and excellent at destressing frazzled travellers.

The hotel is clearly geared to large wedding parties, there didn’t seem to be many ‘ordinary’ guests on a Friday night. The TV is strangely placed, not visible from the sitting area and on a wall to the side of the bed - we didn’t use it.

From when my wife and I walked in at reception to leaving the staff were excellent, very helpful and informative. The customer service is second to none. The rooms were clean and well laid out with plenty of room. The breakfast was excellent and once again were so helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for any venue whether business or weddings the stay was very enjoyable you should be proud of your staff.

The only thing I didn't like was not having Sky TV but this was a minor dislike because I wanted to watch football while getting ready.

The staff were lovely and accomadating. The room was fresh and clean,bed was very comfortable. The bar area was clen. Breakfast area was clean and choise of food was good.

It was extremely odd to find a hotel of that sort of a quality in an industrial area. And tje only other problem was the breakfast. My partner is a vegetarian and there was not much choice on the hot choices for her
