The hotel is self contained and in a lovely location. The lady who checked us in was very warm and friendly so we felt very welcomed.

We ordered room service which was a bit disappointing. We ordered a cheese and ham and a ham and tomato triple decker sandwich. When they arrived the guy who delivered them said they'd forgotten to make them triple decker so had added a cheese and onion sandwich! We sent that back because we didn't want cheese and onion! They changed it for a rather dry plain ham sandwich made on supermarket bread ... sandwiches are £11 each! They also didn't have ready salted crisps...

The room was lovely and the bathroom! Both were spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The swimming pool was lovely and the staff were very polite, and happy to help.

The spa treatments are way too expensive, and not much variety. There also is not much variety at breakfast either, i think a few more options would be ideal considering the price yet what was available was delicious! I didn't like the tray charge for room service on top of room service charge which is already expensive! The ironing board was also broken in the room but apart from these minor things everything was lovely.

The room was nice, like new, it was warm, comfortable and very clean, the hotel was very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was equipped with a Gym, swimming pool, dance studio and probably a lot more, we didn't get to use any of the facilities though as we arrived quite late after the Southampton boat show and only stayed for 1 night, the Breakfast was really nice, great choice of food and it was nice and hot, the hotel also has charging points for EV's although you need to pay seperately for that. the Wifi was good too.

literally the only thing we didn't like is the double bed was 2 single beds bolted together with 2 single mattresses so there was a gap down the middle of the bed which made it a bit uncomfortable.

The atmosphere was relaxed, our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The dining room was intimate and stylish and our dinner delicious. The garden and surroundings were delightful and provided a quiet calm atmosphere to the guests. The afternoon shift Receptionist, Robert, was exceptional warmly greeting us, arranging for our luggage to be delivered to our room and ensuring we were able to dine in the restaurant as it was close to finishing time and ensured we were able to freshen up first.

If I had to identify something it would be the water pressure of the shower, but that is a very British thing around this country.

Ideal stopover for our cruise the next day!

Breakfast was £24 each so we gave it a miss! It didn't tally up with how much I paid for the hotel. I wasn't planning to spend so much when it was only a stopover. Lobby toilets were not clean, kids running around in the lobby bar. Toilets had sanitary plastic bags down them. I suspect it was the kids. I reported it to a staff member. Room was available late. No reason given. I just could not understand paying approx £90 for the hotel for 2 people with a spa, then the breakfast being so expensive and kids running round like a kids club, I was not sure what the hotel wanted to cater to.

Olivia on reception was very pleasent, helpfull and invaluble to your business.The housekeeping lady on Saturday night and the restvof the staff could not have been more helpfull.

The generall wear and tear and the dirty carpet in the bar We did not like the boss in the restaraunt with glasses having a go at other staff and we did not have to hear stafff being moaned at in front of us in the bar

Very friendly staff, very clean, and a good breakfast, I loved the fact that most of the breakfast bits like jam, marmalade, yoghurt, ketchup and cereal where all served in jars that you could help yourself too rather than in individual plastic packages hence better for the environment. We stayed in the Easter holidays and the hotel was busy with lots of families and the breakfast staff kept the buffet topped up and the tables cleared of plates. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

And this is being very picky .... Hot water for breakfast beverages where in flasks, so having a cup of tea didn't taste great, and in our room we like to sleep with the window open therefore the fan noise that went off randomly through the night outside was quite loud, but like I said this is me being picky.

I was worried after seeing recent reviews however I was pleaqsatnly surprised to find that the steam room was working at that the swimming pool was a warm tempearture. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The room was of a good size and very comfortable. There is plenty of free parking available on site. We would stay again.

The king size bed was two single beds placed together so you would find yourself slipping down the middle partition in the night. The restaurant was overpriced for the food. If you wanted chicken (the only meat selecvtion available as an extra) to any of the dishes such as pasta, noodles or rice it was £5.00 extra. I would not have minded if this was chicken breast but it was identical pieces of cubed "chicken" which had an odd texture and taste. The waiting staff however provided an excellent service. Given the location of the hotel, you would need to drive some 10 minutes to find another restaurant or pub to eat at.

the hotel was very clean and appeared well run. Having a working fridge for my extended stay was imperative to me. I understand many are not working I think this needs to be addressed

I was disappointed by the food options available, would have likes to have seen some healthy eating options, open sandwiches, options without chips. Wi Fi and phone signal was very poor in my room ( 227) had to go to the corridor for acceptable Wi Fi and missed some calls.

Mix up at booking.com - I had clicked include breakfast when on Booking.com but when we arrived we were told this hadn't been registered. As a consequence, they wanted to charge £24 per person so £48 for two people, and when challenged they told me my contract was with Booking.com and nothing could be done. This is of course despite the fact they could charge whatever they wanted as the breakfast was under their control. I felt an attempt to increase the overall cost - they did reduce it to £18 each but not the £12 originally selected when booking.
