We have spent a wonderful week at this hotel. We were so impressed with the friendly, professional staff who were always so polite and helpful. They were always ready to go the extra mile whatever you asked of them. We have never experienced service as good as this at any hotel in the world. We couldn't have asked for better. The breakfast was excellent and delicious and provided everything we could've wanted. The hotel and room, although dated, was nice, cosy, clean and very comfortable. Good parking was available for free. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely return to this hotel in the future. We would like to commend Alex for his friendliness and helpfulness when he checked us in, as well as throughout our stay; Sahithi for her friendly breakfast service and other help; Manyo for his assistance and helpfulness throughout our stay; and Siva for going the extra mile as he helped us check out.

The carpeting needs to be replaced

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice. There wasn't a lot of noise from other guests. The weather was very warm and, although there was no air conditioning, the staff had put an oscillating fan in my room - most welcome. There was an ironing board, iron and hairdryer - not used so don't know if they were in working order.

The furniture was very dated and some of it was broken, although still usable (drawer handles missing). The hot tap in the bathroom had to be turned on full, with very little water coming out of it. The shower was good although no bath mat provided despite there being a sign stating it should be used when using the bath/shower.

I don't think I've ever had a better experience in a hotel. It was my first time in England, and I stayed for six nights with my boyfriend. The price was excellent (coming from America where hotel prices are insane), and had got a daily breakfast buffet for free from a Booking.com offer. The breakfast had a good amount of variety; however, I do wish there were more fruit/healthy options. The room was spacious, and had a front view of the hotel. The parking lot had plenty of spaces and was included in the cost while we stayed. Room and bathroom were clean; however the tub did seem a bit outdated and the grout didn't look very clean. Came with full size shampoo/conditioner bottles which smelled nice. On to the staff, they were so amazing. Always friendly, no matter what time of day/night. There was no mini fridge option for the room, and since I stayed nearly a week, we had to eat out. There's a Tesco Extra about a half hour walk which cuts through a lovely park where we picked up some supplies. The hotel lent us plates and forks on a few occasions for ramen and salads we bought. There's a kettle in the room that we used for ramen. Very accessible is a Tesco Express right next store (2 minute walk) where we picked up salads and sandwiches. We ate dinner one night at the hotel restaurant. The prices were good. You order at the front, and your food will be brought to you in the dining room. It's not really a dining experience, but was fine for us. I'd like to compliment the staff again. Whenever we needed anything such as extra toilet paper, towels, utensils, they were always very happy to help. There's a large seating area with a fireplace that's very cozy. You can order drinks, hang out, read a book, chat, whatever. While we were there, we went to Leed's Castle which was just a short drive away. All in all, amazing price, amazing staff, unique stone front building, and a great breakfast.

The staff and service were excellent- they went over and above to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we needed. Location was perfect for us as we were visiting family who lived nearby. Lounge area downstairs was beautifully renovated and very cosy with the log fire. Complementary buffet breakfast was also very good. Parking on site extremely valuable as parking in the area is limited.

Room could do with a refresh - furniture was a bit dated, and no lock on the bathroom door. Also it got quite hot despite being winter. We were able to open the window to cool the room which helped.

Was looking forward to a nice bath but the taps didn't work. Shower was ok but hardly any pressure

The room was very spacious and had all the facilities that were advertised online. The staff were very helpful including helping me set up my PC that I had brought along and trying to help when the wifi was (at first) failing to reach my PC. The staff had a very big mindset on doing whatever they can to maximise your comfort during your stay and made me feel very much at ease during my stay.

The restaurant seemed to have used a microwave lasagne from Morrisons and charged £14. Eating there is not a necessity as there are many places nearby and after using them once for dinner, I didn't again. The breakfast was always freshly cooked there though, I must admit.

The staff were excellent from the concierge to the cleaners, all staff were polite, exceptionally helpful, friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond. Thank you. My only niggle was the restaurant - I’m not sure whether they have got this properly up and running-That said, we had a lovely family meet up and I would definitely recommend this hotel for the cleanliness of the rooms, toilets and communal areas - I would also recommend this hotel on the excellent staff. If travelling with a pet - a definite yes too - I came with my woof and it was the best room I’ve ever stayed in with a dog. Again, thank you Hamlet Staff for your hard work and friendliness.

The afternoon tea. - not good value for money. We had a family get together and decided upon an afternoon tea - it would have been more helpful if they had charged us for the room and we had ordered a Toms Cornish afternoon Tea to be delivered- to be fair the staff tried really hard but I do not think they knew what an afternoon tea was, although the person who organised and put out the sandwiches was very helpful and tried really hard. There were no tea pots and we had to serve ourselves, so like I said we should have ordered Toms Cornish Afternoon Tea - better value for money.

Check in process was frustrating. Required all my details despite these being entered during booking + me having my email confirmation. They required my credit card with pin to be entered. I have no idea of my Pin number (used for online purchases only) so I had to speak to a member of staff, who struggled with the English language and didn't understand my issue with the card. So, he took it away from me and entered it manually (I assume?) without explanation. I have no issue with staff from any nationality, but surely it must be a basic requirement to speak fluent English - especially with such a nonsense check in process. What is wrong with name, booking number and postcode...

Exceptionally polite and helpful staff. This was the best part of our stay and made the hotel. It’s an automated login when you arrive at reception so we didn’t really know what we were doing, but the staff were great and basically did it for us. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. It had everything you needed in the room e.g. tea and coffee tray had plenty on it. We had a meal in the evening and again service was fantastic. Nice bar and lounge area. If you’re visiting Brands Hatch it’s about 20 minutes away, so many people attending the BTCC were staying there and It’s exceptionally good value for money. Shower over bath. Overall, we definitely will stay again when attending brands hatch.

Lifted the toilet seat up and there was all wee left on the rim. Some areas just needed to be cleaned a little more thoroughly. I always bring antibacterial wipes so I wiped it over myself. Toilet roll was nearly gone and there was no spare. However, it’s not a problem getting anything from reception.

I stayed here with my girlfriend last night and I can’t even express how amazing the hospitality was at this hotel. The staff and service was the best I have ever experienced. They were so accommodating with every need we had and helped us in so many ways as we had a few requests and they fulfilled them every single time in the best manner. Constantly asking how we were with everything and if there’s anything they can do, everyone we met was so sweet and helpful. The rooms are really lovely and clean and spacious, I have been here a few times before but noticed they had redone the rooms and they look really nice. Breakfast had so many options and was really good too. Parking was easy and accessible, as well as the outside and lobby being really presentable and put together. Would 100% stay again and would recommend to anyone just for the hotel alone but the quality of the service topped it off and made my experience so much more enjoyable and welcoming.
