I had a wonderful time staying at Jericho's (June 2023) for an extended weekend. The room (a "single room" in which the bed was still incredibly large and luxurious) was perfect for an individual stay, and the hotel is perfectly placed within Windemere as both a base to explore the village, but also in it's proximity to the bus stops which can take you to Ambleside and Grasmere in one direction, and down to Bowness (and the Lake Cruises) on the other end. Of particular note was the excellent food and service at breakfast each morning, with Hayley an exceptional host during my entire stay. This was my first visit to Windemere but certainly not my last, and Jericho's will now be my first port of call when I do visit again: couldn't recommend highly enough!

Perfectly located on a gorgeous and quiet street, with their own parking spaces. It's just one short block from all of the shops in Windermere, and a great hike to the lookout point for the views. Hop in your car for a short journey to the lake and more shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and inviting for a night in with a glass of wine in the lobby. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff were very friendly. Loved all of the details in the room and the property. If you're interested in less touristy food, it's only a 30 minute drive to Ambleside, which has some fantastic restaurants and less tourists.

I chose the cozy room, as I wanted to save a little money. If I had to do it again, I'd splurge for a larger room. The room was gorgeous, but a bit too cozy for 2 people. It'd be perfect for someone traveling solo!! We'll stay again, and book a larger room.

Beautiful outstanding property, exceeded our expectations. Bedroom although within the eaves of the property was still very spacious and well equipped. Amazing big shower and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. A really cosy room. Breakfast both mornings was fantastic, very quick service too. Loved the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon a real treat! We met Hayley and she was very friendly and extremely attentive. The whole property was beautifully decorated and we felt it was 5 star quality.

Just one little thing, could you please consider a magnified make up mirror for the bathroom

Everything from the decor to the impressive dry-stone walling facade. Perfect location, hospitable hosts and incredible value for money. Honestly, the breakfast was one of the best we’ve experienced in any hotel we have stayed in - and we’ve sampled a few!

Nothing that would question my return. If I’m being highly critical, I’d suggest a slightly later check-out time of 11am. In addition, being able to request a breakfast sitting beyond 10am.

An excellent place to stay in Windemere. Great location close to shops and restuarants and within easy walking distance to the lake at Bowness. Owners were very welcoming and allowed us early entry. Good information given. Delicious breakfast with good choice and lovely service. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you!

Bedroom was two floors up and there was no check before that I recall about fitness on stairs. So if less able to walk up stairs ask for a room on first floor. I have recently been unwell so perhaps I was more aware than usual about this. Minor point in an otherwise excellent hotel

Hotel was better than I expected really. Nice en suite room for a solo stay, with very comfy bed and very clean. Well decorated hotel gave a great comfortable feeling & host fantastic. Breakfast was excellent with great choice.. really set me up for days of hiking. For me was in great location, a lot less busy than Bowness, but with plenty amenities (supermarket, restaurants etc). Easy access for routes to all places I wanted to visit around Lake District. Definitely would recommend to anyone & will book again when I visit Lakes again. A+++

We stayed at Jerichos Boutique for the weekend with friends, to celebrate both of our wedding anniversaries. We were greeted on arrival by Steve, he checked us in smoothly and showed us the communal lounge which we were free to use and where we would be eating for breakfast during our stay. The lounge was beautifully decorated and had various wine glasses available for guest use. Steve very kindly gifted us a bottle of champagne to share with our friends which we enjoyed in the lounge. Our bedroom was room 1 on the first floor, again decorated beautifully, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The shower was one of the best I have ever used. The room came with a TV, a slimline oscillating fan, tea and coffee making facilities and a very comfy bed. The tables in the breakfast room were set up as tables for 2 but each morning Steve and Hayley put two together so we could sit with our friends. The breakfast choice was perfect, plenty of tea/coffee/fresh juice. A choice of cold starter I.e. fruit salad and a choice of hot breakfast. The cooked breakfast was locally produced and was served perfectly cooked. Prior to our arrival Steve and Hayley sent a list of walks in the area and also recommended some restaurants and bars. We booked into a lovely fish restaurant called Hooked which was a 2 min walk from the Boutique. I can't recommend this highly enough the food was amazing. We also ate at Cafe Italia, again another lovely restaurant. We walked up Orrest head, the views of the lake were stunning. We hired a boat on Lake Windemere which was fun and visited the shops down in Bowness. We will definitely be returning to stay at Jerichos.

What a fantastic place. From being kept up to date by Hayley and Steve to a warm friendly welcome upon arrival. They even called us to say pure room was ready on arrival. The room was awesome, tastefully decorated throughout with clearly a modern design but with a Victorian feel to complement the building. Breakfasts were delicious with great service and, all this just a short walk from.the town centre and a one and half mile walk from.thevlake. Will definitely be going back.

A nice family run boutique hotel, with different types of rooms available, we stayed in a deluxe double which was nice, big comfortable bed, 2 chairs, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a decent sized bathroom and shower. There was a lounge downstairs everyone could sit in together at night. The breakfast area was nice, we had a large table for our group, there was a good selection of food including gluten free and vegetarian options. There is a large private car park available at this hotel. Close to local restaurants to eat out.

Nothing really bad to say about this place, no lift so be prepared for stairs, limited check in / check out times.

What a wonderful accommodation a short walk from the train station! The staff was communicative, friendly, and helpful. My room was lovely- clean, comfortable, and enough space for me- I appreciated the chair, hair dryer, and toiletry products. Several plugs were available, too. I didn't use the dresser since I was only staying for one night, but it was very nice. The breakfast area was spacious, and there were several breakfast choices and beverages- wonderful! There was a sitting area that I would have enjoyed using if I had arrived earlier. Since I'm from the U.S., I don't know when I'll be in the Lake District again, but I wouldn't hesitate to return here!
