I was surprised by the quality of the hotel. Clearly had a refurbishment in recent years and has been kept in nice condition. Lovely big shower

1. No where to put shower gel in shower other than on the floor. 2. Fire Alarm at 5.45am 3. The green light in the room. Maybe some kind of emergency feature 🤔 but it was bright, like sleeping next to a traffic light. They've spent a lot of money on lovely backed curtains to keep the light out. Only to have the darkness spoilt by the annoying little LED.

The Spa hotel in a quiet location out of city centre. Staff are very friendly especially Amit at reception always welcoming with a smile and very helpful. The lovely Katie on breakfast each morning was always welcoming, friendly & polite. Sherrel on evening dinner was also professional warm and friendly even though a busy evening she was always polite in her approach. Room service I can’t fault all the staff made sure we were topped up with essentials and our free drink vouchers we didn’t expect, that was a nice touch. Pat who helped us with our room change when it was ready.

Disappointed Spa wasn’t working for the whole week we were there until the last day we were due to leave. Had to ask to change rooms as there was a faulty fire exit door that kept banging as guest went through and as a high volume of traffic was passing every minute which was a very busy and noisy floor! Guests didn’t care who they disturbed,we asked to change rooms and lovely gentleman Amit changed our room which was alot better and quieter. Many thanks Amit!

Review Was greeted for a 3 night stay by a grumpy somewhat perturbed Receptionist so a poor first impression. My first evening meal was ok but a very fatty Rump steak but great soup and 2 warm rolls to start. Many staff in the bar but sadly not very attentive, far too much huddling. Room was nicely warm on arrival. I counted them, over 70% of the lighting in the car park/entrance area weren’t working, management do the detail, it matters. In the room I’m not a fan of the tea, coffee, milk etc being on the floor. Good heat/air con in the room, easily controllable and instant. Bathroom light mirror didn’t work snd shower capping missing, management details matter. 2nd evening meal, great attentive staff, great Chicken Wings and a great spicy curry. Overhead shower head in my room was poor as many outlets in the shower head were blocked so needed to dance around the water flow. For some reason my hand soap was taken away, made a request from reception for a replacement and it was hand delivered to my room within minutes. The hanging chicken evening meal is great drama and just so lush. Great warmed towel after every evening meal is a nice touch, loved it.

Facilities at the hotel were good with my room having a supremely comfortable bed, fantastically positioned and large smart tv, bath, shower and safe. The aircon/heater unit looked a little janky but I got it working and it heated the room to a lovely temperature. The staff were all very professional and smiled a lot, seems to be a happy crew. The restaurant was a good size and I enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast provided. Parking was plentiful and there was a 30kWh EV chargepoint (I didn't check to see if it was working). Value for money was very good overall given there is a gym, etc (although I didn't visit this either).

It is unusual to go to a hotel room where all the lights are off when you enter in the evening - not a big deal but surprised me. Having said that the hotel is very old and I would guess hasn't had a refit for a good number of years. The mirror edge in the bathroom was degraded, their was some rust showing on the outside edge of the bath and my initial impression was "very clean but needing some love".

Reception staff very welcoming upon arrival . Good location , nice interior design, staff very welcoming. Restaurant nice . Breakfast good especially sausages and hash browns.

Hairs in bathroom. , some still there after reporting issue . Kettle not working . Asked for 2 extra pillows and had to repeatedly ask , ended up with 1 pillow eventually . Think there should be a shelf in the shower area , doors slamming suddenly and walls seem thin , could hear water running and noise from adjacent room (s) ? Dinner options limiting compared to room service . Would have preferred smoked bacon and more fruit options at breakfast time .

The location was perfect for us. The grounds were lovely. The staff were very informative, helpful and a pleasure to speak to. The room met our expectations it had everything we needed. We didn't use the restaurant, bar or spa so cannot comment on those. Our visits to Wolverhampton will be regular so we will return. Plenty of parking spaces.

The overhead shower couldn't be adjusted. Personal preference would have been an adjustable shower head. Plus there was only half a shower screen so water was on the floor. This was a minor issue for us. No clear instructions for use of air conditioning.

Staff were superb and informed us ahead of our stay about a live band event that might disturb us up until midnight. They then accommodated our request to have a room as far away as possible from the event to ensure as good a night's sleep as possible as I'd got a 6am start for a 250 mile journey. In addition to this we were at the end of a week of celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. They arranged a most excellent firework display outside our bedroom window. It was a fantastic, most enjoyable and unexpected surprise - many thanks - Brilliant 😁👍🎇🎆

The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is on nice grounds - the breakfast has a really nice selection. The bed was comfortable and our stay was due to my friends wedding and so we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay.

Considering this is a spa hotel, the rooms are looking a little dated and don't scream spa. The bathroom really needs an update, and the toilet cistern made a lot of noise so I feel like getting maintenance done in the rooms needs to be looked at. The rooms are quite tight and so you are on top of each other a little. You can hear a lot of noise from the corridor so pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Wonderful relaxing stay. Staff were lovely and helpful. Added bonus that you can use the spa facilities for free when you stay there. Amazing large wet room in our room. Thank you so much for such an amazing stay.

Only issue was some building work going on in the refurbishment of the restaurant, which did disturb us the first morning. I understand that they couldn't do anything about this. Staff were apologetic re this. I did find it hot in my room and the windows didn't open. This has happened at other places that I have stayed at, so I always take a fan with me so this solved the issue.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and nothing a problem to them if you need anything. Big bedroom, shower/toilet big, think it was a queen size comfortable bed. Breakfast in morning is buffet, plenty of it:- continental, English or both. Came back to hotel late at night, after restaurant had finished serving meals, but waiter still went to see if the kitchen was closed. Definitely rate this hotel and would stay again if need be.

Didn't stay long enough to check out spa/gym as this was only a quick visit, surprising friends on way home to Scotland.
