it was very central

The room was very basic, we had to ask for a bedside lamp and the television never worked although they got someone in to repair it.

Right on the river Ouse with a nice view. Very easy to find and get to. The room was a nice size, very clean with everything to hand. TV, tea and coffee and fresh towels etc each day. It's an old building but has a nice modern feel to the room particularly the bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, let us leave our luggage after checkout which was a bonus. Thanks for having us. Added some pics, ignore the bags etc they were taken as we were leaving.

Not criticisms... might be helpful to help others. Be aware that there is a bar downstairs and pubs nearby. So if you're into early nights it might not be for you. Wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues as stairs up to room.

I picked it out of desperation because my first choices were fully booked, and I wasn't expecting much because the price was surprisingly low for the location and the season. Happily, it exceeded my expectations in all areas, and it will be my first choice in future.

There was a lot of noise from nearby bars in the late afternoon (to be fair, the reviews had prepared me for this). But as I was out all evening, I didn't care, and by the time I was back in the late evening it was quieter than I would ever expect from a city location. So no problem at all if you're just looking for a bed for the night, but you might think twice if you're looking for a quiet evening in.

It is in a great location down by the waterfront, and very close to town (basically in town). Handy check in process at the bar and the staff were very helpful. Room had everything we needed , and it was clean.

I wish they gave us more towels. A cleaner asked us would we like new towels to which me and my partner said yes to but the cleaner took away our 1 towel and replaced it with 1 towel, when there was clearly 2 of us there - but we weren't too worried.

The cosiness of the room, great space, good-sized bed which was very comfortable, good amount of pillows, great storage space. The space and size of the bathroom. The location was perfect very centrally located.

It's hard to get the right temperature consistently for the shower. Either boiling hot or freezing cold only managed appropriate temperature for a minute or less at a time. Not having Warning about how steep the after-hours stairs are would have impacted my accommodation choice as my mother has issues going up and down significant inclines.

The location is perfect. Room was clean

deluxe room with river view was booked but to get a full view we had to lean out of the window, my daughter booked a cheaper room with a side view, the room was smaller but had a perfect view of the river.

Room and bathroom was surprisingly large for what I was expecting from a hotel! Bed was super comfy & shower was great! Location was central and perfect!

When we checked out, we had to leave the bag in a public area in a dining room and were advised they would move it to the luggage storage room once the other side had opened, we returned 3 hours later to our surprise our luggage had not moved and we walked in and picked it up without anyone even seeing us - glad nobody took it!!

We LOVED the location, the staff, the views, the sheer amount of Biscoff biscuits 😍 The room was clean, the view of the river was exceptionally gorgeous, the bed sheets were good quality and the hotel itself is so wonky and quirky!

The shower could not find a happy medium and just flipped between boiling and freezing, the sink drain definitely needs clearing. The bathroom window we couldn't get to shut properly, which made it pretty cold through the night and the bed was hanging together by pure luck 😂 luckily we were two friends sharing a bed, and not a couple because there's no way it would survive a night of passion 🤭

Location was amazing! Close walk to most of the sites. Nothing was more than 20 minutes. The room #7 had lovely river view, nice bathroom, and a kettle with coffee and biscuits. After pub hours there was a nice external private entrance just for guests. Place was a great value for a quick stopover.

We were traveling as a friend duo and could have used a few extra towels/an extra blanket. We didn't realize until after desk/pub was closed. So be sure to ask before you leave for the day. Also if you're on the river side, be sure to know you'll hear rowers EARLY on the river, loud with a bullhorn. Like 7am. Also if you have mobility issues, the stairs are quite steep. So be aware.

Location. Very comfortable bed. The pub noise end around 10pm. There was some nightlife noise but that was from pub further up the street. Lovely view of the river.

When arrived music was blasting out from the pub below. Receptionist said. Oh be careful mind your head on this it needs repairing. The room was so hot. The fan was like no use as it didn’t provide any relief. The windows didn’t open. So first impressions was not the greatest. Room could do with some TLC.
