The area is beautiful and quiet, there was places to sit outside and hang out. There is a small stair case that leads to a little beach like area to play and hang out. They provide a fishing cleaning station as well as bbqs. The room had a little kitchenette with bar stools and seat. microwave with popcorn which was a really nice touch. There was coffee and mugs to use as well. perfect little family place.

There was short of staff and they were not able to fix a tv that wasn't working for the first night. i called the front desk, nothing. i called the other hotel that was given to me, just incase we needed anything, and no answer. I left a message at the front desk in the morning just incase when they arrived they could fix it. nothing. As well as there was a little market across the street but it was shut down but there is a market a little ways down that has everything too.

Loved staying here and definitely will be back. The location is amazing and so close to the river! The room was super comfortable, decorated nicely and lovely and clean

Only really minor things that I already know the owners are working on. The shower cubicle could have been a little bigger and the sliding doors a bit easier to use and a hair dryer in the room would have made this perfect. We did have the kitchenette and whilst it was quite well appointed with a microwave and fridge and some utensils I didn't feel that this made it distinct enough from other rooms so a small stove would have been just perfect,

In two weeks of travel this was my favorite motel. Jim was kind and so nice. The bed was fantastic. The room and amenities were more than ample. There were rocking chairs overlooking the Kern River and a large deck with BBQ and steps down to the river. The room was very attractively decorated with fishing themes. The river area along the highway to the north is super scenic. The town south of the lodge is both beachy (on the reservoir) and Old West.

I can't think of anything needing improving or changing.

Check-in was quick and easy, front staff was friendly, and the hotel room was nice and toasty once you got the space heater turned on. Great place for a quiet getaway.

Location was secluded from the small town. It was less than a 10 minute drive away, but that is negligible. It was very nice and quiet because of that.

Very nice sized room. Rustic but not primitive with comfortable beds (really!) Little kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave- even gave us popcorn to pop. We had a disabled room and parking and access to the room was easy. The hotel is right on the river but a general store/deli is across the street. I would recommend this place highly.

Was surprised by a $100 deposit for my 9 pound dog. However it is refunded if no damages.

Beautiful location on the river, surrounded by majestic mountains. My room was very clean and everything in order. Nice community patio. Relaxing and comfortable. Small store right across road.

Anything larger than a regular cab pickup won't fit in the tight parking/driveway. Crew cabs must park away from rooms. Not much problem parking cars or medium size trucks. Just a bit on the pricey side, but the owners seem to try to maintain property well.

Great location if spending time in sequoia forest but don’t confuse this with sequoia national park. That is a 4 hour drive. Here you are closer to 100 giants trail but not the Sherman tree or national park. So less tourists here.

Booking.com is deceiving. This is very distant from national park so should not be advertised as such. It’s a 4 hour drive to kings canyon or Sherman tree.

Lovely cozy and clean with great access to the park and there is a few diners nearby for breakfast or dinner. There is also a stream in the grounds where you can do some astrophotography of the milky way on a clear night. Felt very safe sitting outside the lodge at night.

We liked our stay at the Sequoia Lodge, the value for money is good. The room was very clean. It's run by friendly people. We liked that they have patio's with decorative lights to spend the evening outside. Although we didn't use it, they have big BBQs around the property for guests to use. We recommend staying at this lodge!

The floor and the bathroom door are quite noisy.

Wow what an amazingly beautiful experience; everything from the location right on the Kern river to the soft beds, hot showers, cozy rooms, easy parking, and Wow Jim made my experience so pleasant! He is an incredible host who is fun loving, down to earth and your friend the moment you meet him! Love you Jimmy, we will be back!
