My stay at the Malibu Beach Inn was nothing short of exceptional. The breathtaking view from my room offered a serene escape, perfectly complementing the tranquility that allowed me to focus on a deadline and recharge. The room itself was impeccably appointed, blending comfort with understated luxury. Both room service and the Carbon Beach Club Restaurant exceeded expectations. I hosted a meeting with a mentee at the restaurant, and the attentive, professional service elevated the experience further. A particular highlight was the warmth and hospitality of the staff, especially the European receptionist who graciously escorted me to my room. Her genuine kindness made me feel truly welcome and at ease. If ever I seek a peaceful retreat from the bustle of Los Angeles, the Malibu Beach Inn will undoubtedly be my destination of choice.

That said, I would have appreciated a handheld shower for added convenience, and I hope they address the issues with the clocks. The wall display was inexplicably stuck in 2019, and the clock on the nightstand displayed the wrong time, causing a brief panic before my flight until I realized the error. Despite these minor inconveniences, my experience was a solid 10/10.

The view is just fabulous. The rooms are cozy and spacious. We had everything we needed in there. The staff were all incredible. The fireplace, the bedding, the design of the rooms, the washlets, all the details are just incredibly thoughtful and comfortable.

The entire bamford line of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) almost seemed watered down. Maybe it's the product itself. I feel for a hotel at this level, it deserves a much better line. The restaurant could be more adventurous with the menu.

I was unsure of booking this hotel as it is on a main road, has no pool and is quite pricey, however from the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The hotel room (premier oceanview) was really spacious and luxurious with a great view directly over the ocean. The room had all the little details that make a great hotel; a well stocked mini bar and loads of snacks, the best coffee machine that I have come accross, a fireplace and a WC that had a heated seat. The staff were very helpful, booking restaurants and offering suggestions of places to visit. I think this is probably the best located hotel in Malibu and I would love to visit again someday soon!

I liked it all except the 70usd charge for carparking for two days. The only advice I would give, would be to not charge guests for this service which should be included in the room rate

These was my first time in Malibu and I most say the hotel blew my mind away , the attention to details was top notch , the staffs new my name immediately I mentioned my name to them even without checking their register, once you arrive you’re offered freshly baked cookies from the chef which was so yummy , the room was so comfortable and the bathroom was sparkling clean , sleeping to the sound of the ocean wave was a bucket list tick for me , breakfast was amazing and the view from the breakfast area was breathtaking

The location is great and having the beach on your doorstep was wonderful. All the staff were so friendly and helpful we had a fantastic stay. The bedroom was great with all mod cons. We had a oceanview which was beautiful. The rooms were made up everyday with a turndown service and chocolates. The front desk had fresh cookies and gave us bottles of water when needed. Shout out to Jessie on the bar and Jessica in the restaurant for being awesome.

I can't think of anything, apart from having to leave.

I had a wonderful stay at Malibu Beach Inn! The hotel facilities were truly exceptional. The location right on the beach is absolutely stunning, and the views from the rooms are breathtaking. The rooms themselves are elegantly decorated and extremely comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. One of the staff who greeted myself and my sisters was called Realda - she was the most welcoming and made my sisters birthday so special. She even gave us the most delicious homemade cookies along with towels to take to the beach. Her energy and aura was incredible. Her attention to detail was unmatched & her knowledge of the local malibu area gave us more things to do on our itinerary. We will be visiting again 100%!

Absolutely nothing!

A lot of thought had gone into the detail of the hotel and the room was stylish with a lot of nice finishes…. lovely bed linens towels etc ….extras such as binoculars were a nice touch…. good size balcony and you are right on the beach…. easy access via terrace…food is good but like a lot of California expensive…. always find it annoying to pay for breakfast…. good choice though…. staff are wonderful very kind and always happy to help

Some areas are being renovated ie rooms on our floor…. there are a few areas that are looking tired in the dining area the sofas are stained the same as the footstool in our room

The staff were incredible - everyone made me feel very special as I was staying there for my birthday. The bath products are amazing and the in room fireplace was my favorite part. The view from the restaurant is unbeatable - I definitely recommend getting a dinner reservation about 30 minutes before sunset. You won't be sorry.

The coffee is pretty terrible unfortunately but everything else (food, wine, dessert) are wonderful. The only two downsides to my stay were that the King Pier room just overlooks a parking lot but if you can get over that, the view of the pier is beautiful. Maybe the top level would be better for avoiding seeing the parking - the photos online are very photoshopped and don't show the parking lot. The other downside was not the hotels fault but Booking.com lists that every room has a bathtub but they do not, only a shower - as stated on the hotel's website. Wish this was updated since it was something I was really looking forward to.

I recently treated my mother and daughter to an overnight stay at the Malibu Beach Inn. We had a one bedroom suite overlooking the Pacific Ocean. My mother and daughter slept in the bedroom and I had the sofa bed which was surprisingly comfortable. The room was so cozy and the views were incredible. Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean was perfect! We also had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs - standard California fare and the staff was lovely. The entire team made this such a wonderful experience.

i like the beach front access and that the hotel is close to a bunch of different places nearby. The view is great. The beds and shower were also great.

the room was a bit dirty and there was construction during our stay so half the time the elevator was out of service and there was always noise in the morning of construction and things dropping above our hotel room.
