The staff is very kind. Hot tub is large and AMAZING. The pool is also large and warm, but we didn't spend a lot of time there. Rooms are large and comfortable, although our room was on the first floor and didn't have good view from the balcony. Me and my spouse also enjoyed the little things like free water, coffee, complimentary wine glass and breakfast. Overall, it was an overly positive experience

Breakfast could enjoy a wider variety (e.g. no protein currently). The rooms were a bit cold (in December), so we had to should turn on the A/C.

The hotel was very clean. As soon as we entered, it smelled like soap. The room was very big and comfy. The staff was not overly friendly, but they were definitely nice. The breakfast had warm items that changed every day, so it was definitely a good breakfast. They offered complimentary glasses of wine every day at the bar area which was my favorite area in the hotel. All in all, we are very happy that we chose this hotel.

Even though the location is good, you definitely need a car to go to any place. The AC in the room could have been cleaner. The bed wasn't super comfy, every time my husband moved I woke up (I even thought there was an earthquake in the first one)

We were given a room that was ready and an upgrade since we arrived early and our room was not ready. Employee was very nice.

We were disappointed when a large tour group entered the bar area doing the complimentary wine which actually you do pay for with a service fee. The first night was very pleasant and the bar man was very nice. The second night was not. They were rude and thought nothing of crowding in ahead of us and taking every table and chair in the room. They were very rude people should have been moved to a separate room. We avoided breakfast due to this group. I will add when I mentioned this on check out we were given a credit for the second night of the service fee. Employee was very considerate.

The breakfast was delicious! Dining area is cozy and there was a good variety of options for the size of the space. It’s a great location it’s not beach or water view but close to it. It’s very walkable to like my favorite coffee shop Captain + Stoker and all kinds of other restaurants and shops in downtown Monterey. They also have bikes that you can pay to rent outside the lobby doors and you can get bike locks and helmets at the front desk.

If you have trouble with getting up and down stairs let them know in your reservation. We were surprised with the stairs when we went down to our room it was okay with us but would be nice info for other people.

This was a solid hotel with nice, clean, quiet rooms at decent prices. Location was good but you either have to walk (10 mins) or drive to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities - pool, hot tub, laundry - all a plus. Breakfast was excellent - that was surprising. Because we were driving to surrounding places, it was a great jumping off point. Fridge in room. We'd stay here again if in the area.

There was a snafu when we asked for someone to clean our room and they never showed up but they apologized and came by the next day. Also they seemed a bit stingy with the supplies in room (tp, etc.) I had to call a couple times for items but they always came quickly and brought it.

The hotel staff was amazing the bartender Rob was above and beyond everything expected, he alone made our stay worth the while. The accommodations were great the size of the room how comfortable it was, everything! I would highly recommend Hotel Abrego and we will be staying again in the near future! We had Suite 1101, it included a seating area to walk out onto and several Windows which we loved.

Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was great!! Loved the bagel and breakfast sandwich. But overall staff was super friendly and accommodating.

When we got into our room there was 2 dirty wine glasses left in the closet shelf. The fridge in our room didn’t work at all. Other than that we were happy with our stay.

I had a great stay at Hotel Abrego. The hotel is right at the edge of the downtown of Monterey, and it's really easy to walk into the downtown area to go to restaurants and the beach. The hotel staff was also always very friendly and accommodating. The room was great, too, with a huge bathroom and very comfortable bed. The breakfast here is great also, in my opinion. They have a continental breakfast with eggs, potatoes, pre-made breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and the usual.

No major complaints

Everyone was no nice and hospitality was great! The room was wonderful. Nice, clean with exceptional service. Breakfast was provided every morning with great selection of eggs, potatoes, cereal, fruits, yogurt and breakfast burrito. But the best part is the hotel is it's location. Centrally located and walking distance to downtown and attractions like Fisherman's Wharf. Easy access to freeway and a short drive away from Carmel by-the-sea. Would definitely stay there again.

None that I can think of. I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Abrego.

They upgraded me to a king premium suite because they did not have two queen beds as I originally requested. Stayed in the main building which is much nicer than the others.

I am handicapped so parking was an issue. Not enough handicapped spaces. Noticed another person and family get out of car with handicap plaque but not medical/physical issues. Must have been a mental issue. <:)
