Location is perfect, staff is friendly. We had a nice balcony with chairs. Coffee was good. A great place to sleep before visiting Yosemite. I will definitely choose the same hotel if I ever get the change to visit Oakhurst. The hot tub outside was awesome. The water was so hot and we had a nice relaxing night each day we stayed there. Don't hesitate and book the hotel. Food was okay, nice touch was ready to take chocolate soya milk and paper cups for takeaway coffee and tea.
Please add some fresh, unprocessed vegetables for breakfast (like tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, etc). Just buy vegetables, wash them and cut, I believe people would love that. We got tired of eating high-calorie, fatty and sweet food each day. The food provided was tasty but we really missed vegetables.

The Room - very roomy and the beds were comfortable. We especially like having two king beds. Breakfast was great all three mornings. Staff super helpful and nice. Please keep the buffet w/the staff serving the food. It made us feel safe with how many guests were partaking in breakfast. The restaurant was...well...wow! Our favorites were the humongous Pretzel and Cioppino was absolutely incredible. They kindly gave us a late checkout, which was especially nice because we were not able to experience any snow.
Found a hair in one of the beds and in the bathroom - which was kind of yucky. The room next to us sounded like it had 10 kids in it - but there was only two. The drawer in under the TV wouldn't stay closed. I had to get tape from the front desk to keep it close. All in all nothing that wasn't an easy fix.

Our stay at the Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn was truly exceptional! The location is perfect, just a short drive from Yosemite National Park, with plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel even has its restaurant for a convenient dinner option, but what truly stood out was the breakfast. It was delicious and offered a wide selection, all served in a beautifully maintained and neat breakfast area. The hotel layout is unique, with several buildings. We stayed in one at the top, which added to the charm. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and had a balcony overlooking trees with a lovely view such a peaceful setting! The shower was fantastic, providing the perfect way to relax after exploring. The staff at the front desk were exceptional, offering warm and attentive service. The front desk area itself was beautifully decorated, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yosemite!
Nothing. Everything was great about this hotel!

It was a very convenient location. The breakfast was decent. The scenery was very nice. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty and satisfying. Had the steak bites for an appetizer. Ambience with the fire was nice. Western burger and chicken Marsala was enough to have leftovers. Lucky the room had fridge and microwave to keep fresh and reheat.
The remote to the Samsung TV did not work. Maintenance came up. Very friendly but could not resolve the problem Room 309. My Bf figured out how to manually change the channels and adjust the volume but to be honest it was an inconvenience to have him stand there and act as a remote control. They need to figure out these need high tech features. No fan in the bathroom. Open the window at the top of the vanity if you're tall enough. 😊

Though a bit old, but the room is very clean. We had a family room with 4 double beds. The room size is fantastic. Breakfast is simple yet great! Fantastic staffs, kudos to them. Lots of eateries around the area.
As the rooms are not near to the front desk, for those driving, need not unload luggages first, as you will be driving nearer to your rooms. A message upon booking to notify would be appreciated to inform us, including ourselves, many others unload luggages at front desk, only to be told to load luggages back to vehicle again to drive to our room parking area.

The room was great. Nice kitchenette. Bathroom spacious and well laid out. Very quiet. Were aware people were next to us but never hear any noise. The grounds are really lovely. So nice to walk around and see greenery and hear birdsong vs the usual large building surrounded by concrete/car park and a few token shrubs. Nice to have a balcony to enjoy if you don't want to sit in your room the entire time. Plenty of outlets/charging ports etc. The onsite restaurant is great. We returned late from a day exploring Yosemite to find most eateries in the town close earlier than we are used to. The Oakhurst however was open and we enjoyed dinner there and the menu is a good variety. Also makes a great breakfast space and we were impressed with how efficiently it's run! Nice flexibility of service and self-serve, with options to take stuff to go. The staff were lovely.
No dislikes at all. Just a suggestion for our room (room with two queen beds): An extra bedside table in the corner on the other side of the bathroom would be good, for people not sharing one of the queen beds. We ended up moving the round "dining" table to that corner to use as a night stand, so an easy workaround.

This place is so beautiful. For a Best Western, it has lots of personal touches and is laid out well. Many smaller buildings all work their way up a hill, on the main street of a quaint little town. The couple who made this place did a lovely job setting it up and there are lots of charming paintings of Yosemite around the buildings and in the rooms. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, and the indoor is really decorated nicely, in a very cool building. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is big and yummy. The restaurant also serves dinner and drinks, so we could eat right there or take it to our room in the evenings. It's perfectly located to head into the south gate of the park and I highly recommend it.
We liked it all.

This really is a gateway to Yosemite.
On first arriving at the checking in location we were told that the property consisted of 13 buildings and ours was at the uppermost site, a short drive up the winding road which was fully explained, our room when opening it was very hot, hotter inside than out, that and there was approximately 13+ flys around the windows and within the room, had to open the doors and swat them out which took about 30 mins… not what I wanted to do after a 3 hour drive…that being said the room was in good order/clean… and we was close to the inside pool… the mornings brought us a buffet style breakfast which was amazing… nearly everything you would want…

The room was good - enough space for our family of four. The location was good for Yosemite without being inside the park where availability is scarce (about 40 minutes to the valley floor not counting the queue to get in). We ate dinner in the restaurant one night - it was surprisingly good with a much better vibe than during breakfast.
The site is very steep - quite a walk from reception up to the top (where are room was). The area where the buffet breakfast was served didn't have a great vibe - a bit chaotic and sparse decor... but the food was fine.

Very good location if you travel by car and want to be close to Yosemite National Park (South Entry). Good atmosphere that fits a stay in Yosemite National Park. Clean and nicely done hotel area.
The rooms are a bit outdated and at least ours was relatively dark in terms of natural lighting. Breakfast was quite good in terms of choice but quality could have been better (we are Europeans). For us, the pools were not that attractive due to looking a bit outdated and being crowded the night we considered to go.
