Property is clean and right across from the beach. Lots of restaurants close by.

Dressers a little messed up and no microwave or coffee pot in the room.

Love this motel! It’s like a part of the old-school California where you can still get a cheap motel at the beach for a reasonable price. There’s all kind of great stuff located right nearby, from juice, bars, and coffee, shops to yoga, studios, surf shops, Raw vegan restaurant, organic co-op… Cross the street from the beach. Third floor and you can see the waves crashing… It’s a bit of a funky area with folks live in their cars on the street down below, but that’s part of the old-school appeal to me. Fantastic place to stay in San Francisco, tram is two blocks away, and it’s just incredible that this place still exists. I will continue to return here as long as it’s here!

Sometimes the neighborhood seems more sketchy than it is, and I just checked myself and remember that it’s all good, simply a bit more urban that I’m used to.

Staying at the Motel 6 in San Francisco was a surprisingly pleasant experience. The room was not only clean but also spacious, creating a comfortable environment for relaxation. The staff at the motel were exceptionally friendly, contributing significantly to the overall positive experience of my stay. Their hospitality made me feel welcome and valued as a guest. One of the standout features of this Motel 6 is the ocean view from the room. Waking up to the sight of the ocean each morning was truly a delight. Additionally, the motel's proximity to the waterfront promenade allowed for easy access to stunning views, particularly of the sunset, which was a highlight of my visit. The surrounding area includes a park ideal for leisurely walks, further enhancing the appeal of this location. Its strategic location also ensures convenience for travelers with vehicles, as it is easily accessible by car. Overall, my stay at Motel 6 San Francisco was notably enjoyable. The combination of clean, spacious accommodations, friendly staff, breathtaking views, and a convenient location made it a memorable visit. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic place to stay in San Francisco.

Great location , the sound of the ocean and nice sunsets. Close to nice hiking trails and viewpoints. Rooms were clean and parking was free and easy to find a spot. All in all a good deal for san francisco.

No microwave in room. You have to request room cleaning change sheets/towels. There is a time limit on your stay, so no longer term avaliable.

The staff are the most excellent people. They are very professional, courteous, accommodating, attentive, kind, friendly, and warm!! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. Front desk--Lisa, maintenance-Jerry, housekeeping-Betty these folks are exceptional. And the other staff are doing their jobs very well. Staying in SF in particular by the beach is limited and staying in SF can be very expensive. The price is reasonable and affordable. There are a variety of room options, I love this. I've been staying at this Rodeway Inn whenever I'm in SF for the past 25 years. I recommend it to everyone. The staff make it fantastic. It's very clean. It's comfortable. There's plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bath tubs are big and fantastic. There are microwaves, mini fridges, dark curtains, windows that open for fresh ocean air and they lock. The rooms are big. Good things-- there are big chairs, plenty of table space, updated TVs and good channels, free good working wifi in every room. Good working AC and heat. If there's any problem they fix it without delay. Felt safe in room and outside. It's not super fancy but the cleanliness is excellent.

This place is a very good hotel to stay in San Francisco. I cannot make any complaints. Read my likes because they are stand out not my constructive observations. I'd love to see it updated a bit. There are a few rooms without carpet. They are the best. I think that's the best way to go especially to avoid odors. It'd be even better if every room was without carpet. Some of the furniture is pretty old--but it's still comfy and you can tell they clean everything everytime. But the upolstery and curtains could be renewed.

Easy access from the south. Plenty of free parking. Relatively secure compared to other areas of SF. Pets stay free at Motel 6. Well located next to Golden Gate Park and for those wanting a home base in SF that allows you to head into busier areas on foot, by rideshare, or by public transportation (N-Judah Muni line is 2 blocks away; can take it all the way to downtown, Embarcadero, and Oracle Park.

Unattractive main office, stairwells, and common spaces.

The room was very spacious.

Across the street was a lot of I suspect homeless living in motorhomes, cars etc. Little sketch but I didn't have any problems. Unfortunately homeless has grown & everywhere. I'd be little worried if traveled alone. The location was walking distance to Ocean beach, Golden Gate Park, historic windmills, the and zoo and short drive to view the bridge and great walking trails. Grocery store close too. The employees very nice and great customer service.

We had the 3 bed suite 1 king 2 queen it was perfect for our family and the beach across the street was a big bonus for our dog who enjoyed the stay as much as we did

Stairs to 3rd floor were very hard for my mother and no ac made it very stuffy when we closed the window at night a fan would have been pleasant

Hi - after 6 trips to the City of San Francisco in 7 months (experiencing 9 of the 10 rain rivers) I found a very very nice hotel for about 105.00 per day. Everything was great and it is two blocks from the famous Golden Gate Park and one block to the Pacific Ocean. I was on the second floor of 3 floor building and it was total silence except for the sound of the Pacific. The rain stopped for 4 hours so I was able to walk 10 or 12 blocks to both a very nice Restaurant and a super Safeway market on the Ocean. Finally, everytime I return to the Bay Area I will try to get a reservation through Booking.Com if available here. Nice group of people running the place. 10 out 10.

The weather ha ha - the worst storms ever.

Toilet didn't flush without filling manually and a couple plug isn't didn't work- had to move microwave to use. I GOT A PARKING TICKET ON THE STREET OUT FRONT over night ... There was no parking in small lot... No signs present and told could park there 😐
