The staff was nice and helpful and the facilities were minimalistic and modern. The rooms are compact and have pink/purple-ish colored lighting, which I believe plays well with the ingenious and creative concept. You can do self check-in in the computers on the lobby, but there is always someone there to help out anyway. We arrived a little early for check-in time, and since our room was ready, the concierge girl was super efficient and nice to let us get our room. Even later, we felt like getting a room with different features to be more comfortable, and she was really nice about it and helped us with that as well. Another thing I liked is that you can only enter the hotel if you are a guest and have your room key.

We had a 5 night stay. The room itself was clean at our arrival and we know cleaning staff passed by our room on the third night because they left extra towels. However, they only took the trash out on the second night when we called and asked them to. So, on the fourth night, we took the trash out ourselves. Also, the location is in one of the mayor streets where homeless people gather to sleep at night. I guess this contributes to the area outside being dirty with trash and smelling weird. Since we were two girls, it was okay because we always kept together. But it may not be so great for solo girls traveling.

The service desk was incredibly helpful, special thanks to Eric for making our stay comfortable like home and to maintenance Ezekiel who fix the small shower leaks in a few minutes. Hotel's facilities and renovated room exceed my expectations. Our jr. suite room was spacious, freshly renovated with modern details and very clean. When I say clean, I mean very good cleaning everywhere: on the room floor, in the bathroom etc. NO hair, dirt or dust left from previous guests, which is rarely happens lately in many hotels we stayed at. Hotel provides 24/7 fresh coffee in lounge room. There is a modern coffee machine which makes coffee from beans. Continental breakfast in the morning (few kinds of cereals, yogurt, croissants and snacks bars and cake) made us full for the morning start. We asked to put some food in the fridge and service desk staff helped with that very professionally. Fridge has lock The hotel located right across MUNI and BART stops. It makes our travel from the airport and around the city very fast and convenient. No need a Taxi from the airport, use BART, it takes 35 min and costs 10$/person. The Big Bus hop-on-hop-off stop#7 is very close as well. Yes, there were some homeless people on the street around, but it is not the hotel's fault. The hotel has security in the lobby and doors have key locked entrance to the building, so we felt very safe inside. The overall stay was very pleasant and convenient. Thank you for your hospitality.

Nothing to complain about hotel. The hotel personal made our stay 💯 pleasant. But city should do much better job to clean San Francisco from homeless people. It made a very bad impression and ruins tourism.

The hotel is located at a very central location with a good connection to public transport.

A more comfortable seat and workstation for the reception staff and a second coffee machine would be great. Otherwise the minimal style could look a bit poor or stingy. The Market Street is often a place of refuge for the homeless. However, we did not feel harassed or threatened.

The amenities and staff were great.

Location is not good. Unfortunately there is a lot of homelessness around the location. It's fine during the day but as a woman traveling solo, I didn't feel safe at night. Make sure to use Uber /Lyft to get back at night. Do not walk or use public transport.

The process for checking in and handling anything administratively went quite well. Most hotels have a spot for pulling up to the property and unloading. I found this to be lacking or, at least, not well communicated. The room was clean, well maintained, and fully functional.

I am used to a property that allows me to have an actual chair for each guest and an actual horizontal surface (like a desk or table) to work or eat. I found neither at Yotel. I realize that this is available in the community space, however. Most likely due to my age, I did not appreciate all the tech gadgetry involved in staying in the room, although I found it very clever. Stayed at a Citizen M property in the Netherlands and preferred it to Yotel. Sorry!

It was very clean and tidy. Efficient use of space, easy to access and find. Also staff were very competent and kind.

Didn't have any breakfast left by the time we got there about 30 mins after breakfast had started. Also no coffee cups left had to use tiny disposable ones? Staff member very nice about it but there was nothing he could do?

Centrally located, staff is friendly and helpful and work hard. Rooms are cosy and clean. I would recommend this place to friends who are on a budget.

The mattress was fine, but the pillows were too big and thick. I had a terrible neck ache because of them. Ended up using the towel as a pillow instead. The lounge tables were quite dirty post-breakfast, I guess they are saving the cost of having a separate shift for cleaning the lounge in the mornings. Breakfast itself was surprisingly sparse. It's only worth using if you are in a hurry in the morning. The Chromecast option on the TV was so laggy that it was unusable. I ended up never using the TV.

The staff were very friendly, and the amenities were great. The breakfast, while simple, was perfect for tourists on the go, and I enjoyed the common area on level 2 – a nice spot to relax.

The location was a bit of a drawback. There were quite a few homeless people in the area, and I didn’t always feel safe walking around early in the morning or after dark. That said, the hotel takes security seriously, with a locked front door and security guards on site.

The room was clean - from the bed & sheets, shower, sink and counter. The breakfast was simple but enough so that I didn't have to worry about figuring out where to eat daily for breakfast. The breakfast room was great too - you can grab whichever items you liked and find a place to sit. At some point the milk and croissants ran out, but someone came in at a later time in the morning to replenish so that other people can have theirs as well. I was told the hotel had a gym, but I didn't utilize it so I can't speak about this or rate it. On my first day, I called the front desk to confirm if breakfast was included in my reservation and someone picked up my call right away. At the lobby, I approached someone to ask some questions about the city and the lady who talked to me was nice and friendly! I felt safe in the hotel because of the security person at the lobby and also they kept the entry doors locked.

One thing I didn't like about this place - and this isn't the fault of the hotel - are the homeless people outside and in the area. Market St and the nearby Tenderloin District aren't the nicest because of the homelessness, however, I found the location to be convenient enough to take you to some of the main sights - west to Castro District and Alamo Square and east to the Ferry Building and the piers. So, not the nicest neighbourhood, but the convenience made up for it. Also, my television didn't work, but this wasn't a big deal. I think the remote control needed a battery change.

The location is terrible. There are so many homeless and drugs on the street that is not safe. Rooms are tiny and there is no closet to hang close and the toilet has no door. I like the place but could be better.

Closets or at least hangers in the bedroom. Also, a toilet door would really help so that one spouse doesn`t need to leave the room when the other is using the toilet.
