Corner room #4 was very spacious with comfortable and stylish amenities: good lighting, comfy bed, mirrored wardrobe closet, good desk, nice easy chair, Direct TV, bath counter with shelves below . Great welcoming staff - Michael, Kara, Sabrina, Paola. And the fresh-baked cookies in the evening were a lovely treat along with high quality breakfast in the morning - the English muffins from Model Bakery are the best ever, tasty egg bites, good coffee, teas, hot cocoa packets, immunity boost drinks, yogurt and fruit - unexpected pleasures. The lobby is spacious and welcoming if you just want to hang out, do a puzzle, read. One of the most welcoming and gracious boutique hotels in the wine country! And there's a nice small park (Lyman) a few steps away that we enjoyed on a sunny winter day.

Only minor quibbles that did not detract from our enjoyment: refillable toiletries in bath would be more environmentally friendly, a few scrapes and scuffs in bathroom could use some attention, shower door could use a gasket refresh. Location on Main Street means constant traffic noise but we got used to it. Love the small-town feel of St. Helena with its high-end shops and restaurants among everyday businesses.

This is a lovely small European- style on main Street in the heart of charming St. Helena. The lobby and breakfast room are modern, and lovely. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Our room, a corner King, large and very comfortable. The bed was also comfortable. There was plenty of room for luggage and to spread out. The bathroom, while not huge, was large enough to stash toiletries. The shower was very large, and there was plenty of hot water with good water pressure. Breakfast was included, and was a great value - Model Bakery breads and pastries are always a treat. There was plenty of free parking off Main Street.

It was difficult to control the temperature in the room - but we were there on a ridiculously hot weekend so that likely made things harder. There was no obvious place to put recyclables.

Overall it is a really great property. No issues at all and very happy with our choice. There is a small trade off with a property which is in the heart of the town of St. Helena... you walk out and there are all the shops and restaurants. It's a quaint and beautiful downtown and ideal for most people. The only thing it is lacking is open outdoor space. I like to have a cigar in the evenings or sit outside with my own bottle of wine and Wydown isn't the place for that. That said it has a well appointed and ample lobby which is very comfortable if you want to get out of your room but stay on property.

Great breakfasts. Wonderful staff. Paola and her team were terrific. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Access to excellent gym and spa facilities. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Close to walks to river and through vineyards.

Recommend staying at back of building away from main street which could be noisy. We were in the back in room 1 which was fine. Air conditioner was small for the size of the room with roller blind lowering in front of AC so it got stuffy.

The property was beautiful and everything was perfect. Kara was so helpful at our checkin and gave us a warm welcome and gave us good suggestions for dinners and the area. The breakfast has different options to suit everyone. The pastries and yogurt with granola from a local bakery were really delicious. Truly a wonderful stay!

Incredible hotel in incredible location! Right in the heart of St. Helena, Wydown staff are the NICEST and the hotel amenities cannot be beat! A pool and spa are included (but it's offsite). Still, just a short ride from the hotel! Best hotel breakfast I've ever had, plus complimentary wine tasting included and cookies for dessert?? A+++

Nothing. This place is PERFECT.

This hotel is in the middle of downtown St. Helena. The lobby is large and stylish and so are the rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff with good recommendations. Fresh baked choco chip cookies each day made the place always smell good. Breakfast did not have a lot of choice--mainly quiche, yoghurt, flat muffins from a nearby bakery (which are better than they appear), coffee/tea. Parking right behind the hotel.

I was told they are going to update the rooms soon, even though I don't think they need it.

There is nothing you can fault about then hotel. Great location, walking distance to the bars & restaurants (Market & Farmstead) and excellent pickup point for the vineyard tours. There is nothing to dislike

Very clean and spacious room. Complimentary wine, water, sodas, and Nespresso maker were a nice touch. Breakfast foods were of excellent quality Very friendly personnel. Elegant experience overall.

The only negative I can think of is some road noise in the early morning from winery trucks passing by.

Central to wine tastings, staff were so inviting & personal- felt like we were staying with friends

Saw 1 bug in the bathroom but never saw another afterwards. It would be nice to know the pool isn’t on the property… not a big deal but I assumed the pool was at our location. Also, my girlfriend would have loved having access to a scale (to weigh her luggage).
