Breakfast was very good.

I found the hotel to be very nice with lots of good places to sit and read outside of my room. However, the hotel seems old and dated. The window in our bedroom couldn't be closed completely as the crank to close it had been stripped. I was traveling with my husband. We are both seventy plus in age and very mobil. The one thing we both commented on was how grab bars alongside the toilet (and probably in the shower) would be a plus as the toilet is quite low. Seems like a silly issue for younger people but for older guests with mobility issues it could be difficult. Overall the staff was very nice and everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Staff is amazing. Maintenance man is wonderful but over worked for a large property with a single employee. Wait staff in restaurant is superb. Big shout out for Laura ( great find from sister property) and manager that has been there a month. Don't remember her name: young,great smile,long blonde hair,super with staff. Bartenders really know their profession.

Had a negative encounter with one housekeeper.

Then location is beautiful and the pool was very nice as was the breakfast. We stayed there to go to a family reunion of my significant others. The staff was very friendly.

The beds were very creaky and the air conditioner was barely working. Also our room didn’t exactly look like the picture but it was cute nonetheless.

Great location and lovely ambiance. The continental breakfast was better than expected. A suggestion would be to change the offering. We were there for two days and it was exactly the same each day. Dinner was very good — also better than expected.

Regarding the room comfort, the chairs / seating could be a little more comfortable. We were in the room more than expected due to a snowstorm and the chairs were not comfortable for long stretches of seating.

Very accommodating - they arranged for two adjoining rooms for our two families in the main hotel when we came together to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday. He lives nearby at an assisted living facility. CLEAN and quiet. Very comfortable beds. Generous offerings for the breakfast buffet which was included and a lovely dining room. Pleasant staff.

Great location, professional staff and a comfortable room.

The property is in need of a freshening up or an update to the room amenities. This is an historic property so I would not change the aesthetics but the clock radio in my room had an iPod dock for music and the Vizio HDTV while perfectly adequate for my needs was made in 2008.

The grounds are beautiful: bridges over streams, gazebos, a life sized chess set, covered patio. Colonial elegance in our building.

Breakfast buffet was less than minimal , ran out of coffee, which was later replenished on Sunday, but Mothers Day was probably the distraction. Breads & scrambled eggs gone by 8:30 Monday morning, but were replenished as we were leaving.

Always a good locale for visiting relatives. Good breakfast. Rooms are clean. Appreciated the free upgrade as it got us up off the ground floor.

Swimming pool hours are ludicrous. Really wanted to swim but a pool that doesn’t op n means no morning access and the rest of the day is always taken.

The free breakfast offered every day but the weekends has definitely improved. Buffet style with eggs, bacon etc., and included with room price was good even though we ate just before they closed it at 10am. We are not eating in restaurants yet if we can avoid it so the first day the host opened the door to the outside porch for us. When it rained the next day we ate inside the mostly deserted bar area.

We had a corner lower level room and there were two wedding parties coming onto the property. We seemed to have had a crowd of young men over our heads doing a Morris dance. Better soundproofing would have helped a lot. A delivery truck at 6am did not help matters.

This hotel was perfectly located, had all of the amenities for our stay, and we enjoyed the breakfast provided. The sleeping accomodations were the best we've had while traveling. We will stay there again and have recommended for others to stay at this property.

The heat/air conditioning unit was very loud and cycled very often.
