I loved the location, that's why I picked it. I didn't spend much time in the hotel, but having it so close to so many cafes and restaurants and the waterfront was just excellent. The hotel is old and outdated, but I knew that before I went, it's not a modern hotel, so I won't be judging it based on that, aside from what actually impacted my stay. I still found it charming. The staff were lovely. I would stay there again. Outside view is from the room's dormer window.

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable - I suspect aged and worn, if you're a fussy sleeper, maybe this isn't for you. And the shower was average at best - shower curtain didn't protect the bathroom from the spray, and the pressure and spray was lacklustre. Breakfast was very basic, very continental, but there are plenty of other options around.

Location at that price, well, is priceless! In the heart of Fells Point, across from water taxi, restaurants everywhere, etc. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, from front desk staff to the bartender. They got me in early, and when I told them I needed a frig for an ice pack due to an injury, they brought one to my room at no extra charge. Didn't have a freezer, but when I put a bag of ice on top of it, it worked! The bartender Steve was a hoot! Very experienced and entertaining. If I return to Baltimore this is where I will be staying. Of course, I also picked the place because it is supposed to be haunted but no luck in that department. Though again, staff even opened the door of a vacant room so I could explore when my camera picked up a strange light underneath. It was debunked though for those of you not wanting to hang out with ghosts...lol

Well, the continental breakfast was pretty skimpy, maybe just a few more danish and fruit choices, the rooftop is a real plus but only used for special occasions, and the bar was not well stocked for drinks, for example, he couldn't even make a Bloody Mary. But, this may be because Steve was filling in for another bartender and didn't have time to do it??? Was still a great experience overall.

Great historic affordable hotel with amazing location. Room was a little bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Overall a great stay in the heart of Fells Point and the Harbor.

We wished parking was included at the hotel as we had to park and pay for a parking garage that was several blocks down the street. Also the continental breakfast was mostly gone by time we got to the breakfast room at around 9:30am.

The location was everything. The decor was great. Historical, informative, pleasing. The high ceilings were lovely and the amenities meet our needs.

Our particular room must have been located behind the elevator or beside a heavy machine that powers the climate system. There was a mechanical hum and vibration that exceeded white noise level. Occasionally it would cycle off and everything was perfect. But it remained quite prevalent during our time in room.

Location in great if you want to be by the harbor in the heart of Fells Point surrounded by good restaurants and bars. We had a king room which was very spacious.

While the style and history of the hotel is part of it's charm, the interior hallways and aspects of the rooms are very outdated. Bathroom has no counter space and very out of date shower/tub with pealing ceiling. If you don't want to hear loud partying at night, make sure to request a room NOT facing the Admirals Cup bar.

Staff was friendly during renovations, and the bed was comfortable

No full mirror or hair dryer for wife. No one taking care of the dining area during breakfast. The area was very Disappointing with many stores closed, buildings empty. Hoping for a revival soon.

Location. Central to the fells point area. Clean but a little dated as it should be for the age and history of the property.

Our first room was noisy from an air shaft outside the room. We were easily moved to a quiet room which was very comfortable. One that there are spirits amongst the building.

The level 5 breakfast area view from up top was outstanding, and the breakfast was fine too!!!

Room didn’t have a coat closet so we draped clothes all over, but did find two small hooks in restroom. Windows seemed like they need a good clean.

Rooms are quite pleasant, and well appointed. Lobbies and sitting rooms very interestingly furnished with nautical themes (very old style metal diving helmet, nautically themed chess set, etc etc). Location excellent next to colonial era harbor and many fine seafood get restaurants.

Way too many stairs- elevator takes guests to second floor landing- then in keeping with having multiple colonial era buildings combined to make one large inn- there are winding staircases and many short and long hallways leading to guest rooms. It's an adventure finding one's room, and often the location of the next set of stairs. Not sure if it is possible to correct this "quaint" architectural feature.

The location was absolutely amazing, and the lady at the front desk had a really great personality.

The mattress in the room left a little bit to be desired, they're also going through renovations so you can tell that they are making updates to the rooms.
