Location was excellent, so close to the beach. The staff at the check in desk were very friendly and informative. The beds were very comfortable. Having the kitchenette was so much better than staying in a hotel! It was very helpful having the luggage carts available at check in. I really liked how close the Shalimar was to the boardwalk as well as Cape May. 

The parking spots are horrible! It was virtually impossible to unpack the vehicle in the tiny parking spaces. It would be very helpful if there could be hooks on the back of the bathroom door as well as the bedroom door. Any hotel or resort that I have ever stayed in always has some kind of a binder on the table, letting you know of the areas activities , restaurants , entertainment etc… it would have been nice to have that at the Shalimar. 

I love the location, the staff was amazing from the reception desk to the housekeeping staff. They were outstanding, friendly, helpful, attentive. I was really pleased with my stay. I love the fact that they have grills so that you may bbq if you'd like.(they provide the gas)

Well, the downside was that all the machines in the laundry room were out of service. I'd be nice if I could dry my towels everyday (they do provide you with towers I must say). The second thing is the checkout time. I find it extremely early. By 12 it'd be perfect.

Location was good and near the beach. Pool was fun. Beds were comfortable and had a pull out sofa. Also liked the full size refrigerator,

Our room was older so 113 definitely needs a new toilet. The whole thing moved. Luckily we don't weigh that much! :)

Everyone at the Shalimar was welcoming, friendly & ALWAYS there for their guests!! BEST place .. HIGHLY recommend. Front desk was very welcoming & informative. Management was superb .. always available to guests to assure their needs were met. Rooms were immaculate & housekeeping was the best. The grills were cleaned daily to impeccable condition! The pool was always maintained to immaculate condition. The overall grounds were very clean & well kept. A GREAT place! Cant wait to go back!!!

There is NOTHING negative about Shalimar. Will definitely go back there!

The staff were all (except for one upon check-in) super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The Jitney bus route runs along side the hotel so there was no problems trying to find it

Every time the upstairs neighbor flushed the toilet you could hear in the sewer pipe that ran inside the wall in our unit, the Maintence guys decided 6am was the perfect time to work of the ventilation system, and had to find out the most time consuming way possibly that just because this hotel offers a laundry room doesn’t mean that everything works

Clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Location is great. Had all the amenities needed. Happy to come back.

Elaine & Jaime were amazing! From the first moment that I called the Shalimar and Elaine picked up, she was most courteous, knowledgeable and super informative. My BFF and I had a spectacular time at the Country Festival...my first. Having the Veterans there made me feel even more prideful. This resort definitely puts Wildwood on the map!

There were cracks on the microwave, the cooking range, bathroom tiles and the drinking glasses. The rugs should be taken out and replaced with wood floors or any smooth surface. Rugs were outdated and scary looking. We were there just to sleep, but as soon as we walked in we began to sneeze. Parking spots are a bit narrow.

I liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. We had a small maintenance issue when we arrived, and it was fixed within 15 minutes. The location was great and our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels offered. The refrigerator kept things cold and the air conditioner worked well. The beds were comfortable.

The couch (sofa bed) was very noisy when you sat on it. The door to the bedroom was louvered so it really didn't act as a sound barrier to the living area. There is only one small towel rack so no place to hang wet towels or bathing suits.

It was big and clean the only thing that we didn’t like there was a huge lodge that booked there the whole weekend and They had a dj and took up all of the grills is said their was a time limit but they said they had a different arrangement and they could use it how ever long they liked they played loud music all night long and we could hear it from the room like it didn’t stop until 3 am the whole weekend it would of been nice if we were informed that a large party was booked the same time as us

Great location to the beach and the boardwalk. We were able to walk right down to the boardwalk and avoid paying for parking. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. There was a family atmosphere in this place that made it very welcoming. It seems like (at least the time of our visit) there were many families and regulars there. It was great feeling like I was part of the experience. The pool was always clean and warm, great kiddie pool area for my child. The housekeeping staff were extraordinary, always friendly and very concerned if we needed anything. As someone who isn’t good at asking for things, this was an added bonus.

The room we stayed in, a double king, has a very odd toilet paper holder placement. It’s strange to note but I found myself getting frustrated with grabbing a piece. There was not a lot of extra plugs for our electronics. As a small family we made do, but I can see a large family or one more technologically inclined getting disheartened. The parking was tight. This was the same for many of the other hotels on the strip of Atlantic Avenue though so it really cannot make or break a person’s decision in staying at this location.
