I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location, close to the subway station, made it convenient to access the places in Manhattan I wanted to visit. The room was impeccably clean and tastefully furnished. It was a nice touch to find a coffee maker in the room, which I greatly appreciated. The lobby served as a comfortable spot to wait for my wife. Overall, it was a good experience, but these two points could make the stay even better.

However, there were two aspects I was less pleased with: a) The hotel's use of plastic dishes and packaging at breakfast was not environmentally friendly. It would be great if they could consider more sustainable alternatives. b) Unfortunately, the windows in the rooms were permanently closed, making it impossible to enjoy fresh air. This meant we had to rely on the air conditioner throughout our stay.

We booked this hotel due to the fact it was 1/3rd of the price of all other hotels between Christmas and new year. This hotel is in the bronx but barely. If you get the express 4 or 5 line subway it will take you 15 mins to get there from grand central. Then it is a 2 minute walk from the station. The staff were friendly and welcoming on check in. We stayed on the 10th floor with a king bed. The rooms aren’t huge (space down the far side of the bed is just big enough to walk down), but well laid out and well finished. Our sink was in the room and the bathroom is made of slightly opaque glass (small toiletries were provided). If you are going with a friend make sure you are comfortable with each other! We were opposite the lift but couldn’t hear too much from there (there are only 10 rooms on that floor). Some rooms face Manhattan but you can’t see much from there. Most rooms overlook the railway lines so bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper but it didn’t bother us. The water refill station for still and sparkling water is a great addition so bring your own bottles (or reception can give you one). The Complimentary breakfast with Tea, coffee, juice, cereal, pasties, muffins and bagels was a nice added bonus.

Convenient location to attractions we were visiting - Arthur Ave and NYBG.

Lobby restaurant had DJ playing very loud music during afternoon brunch and during dinner hour. Opted to order Uber Eats and eat in room because too loud for dinner conversation. Complimentary breakfast didn't offer any healthy options, no fresh fruit or higher fiber breakfast bars, for example.

Small but nice room. Value for money is great. Breakfast is a bonus and was better than expected. Subway is easy to reach and has express train services (approx. 20-25min to Lower Manhattan).

The surrounding of the property is uninviting but this will most certainly change within the next months.

Breakfast could be better (more options, more healthy). Please do not use plastic forks and knives. Moreover every bagel and toast is packed in plastic. This is not environmentally friendly.

Our stay was very pleasant, the room was clean and had everything we needed during our trip. The hotel was well-equipped and the staff was really nice. The breakfast was great. It took us only 15-20mins to get to midtown Manhattan by subway.

Although we had no atrocities of any sort, the neighborhood looked a bit sketchy. Good thing that the subway was very close to the hotel. The window in our room could not be opened, only a tiny bit, it would’ve been great to air out the room if we could have. Breakfast would be even better if there were some kind of meat/cold cuts offered as well.

The breakfast was well organized and stocked with a variety of items such as waffles, cereal, pastries, sausage biscuits, muffins and fruit. The staff was friendly and often visible. The room was compact but had the essentials. We did ask for extra towels. There was not an ice machine but both the front desk and kitchen staff gave us ice when we requested it. The room was clean as was the lobby and restrooms in the lobby. There is easy access to the subway and it is located close to the Yankee Stadium. There was a little curb market just a couple of blocks away for sodas and snacks. The hotel has a water dispenser near the elevator so you can refill water bottles. There is is small cafe inside the lobby with a limited selection but what we had was tasty. Although the location of the hotel is not in the best of areas, we felt comfortable walking to and from the subway. Uber picked us up right in front of the hotel at our departure.

The noise level in the cafe was very loud upon our arrival and every evening during our stay. It is a small area with a bar. Apparently there was a large party on Saturday night when we returned from the ballgame. It was obvious alcohol had been flowing. The sidewalk was crowded making it difficult to get to the lobby. Security and staff helped us get inside. We opted not to eat in the cafe in the evenings except for the first night. We could hear the music in our from the outside venue during the afternoon and early evenings.

We’ve booked this hotel, because of the location and the great guest reviews and we didn’t get disappointed. From the moment we’ve entered the hotel we felt welcome. The entire staff at the hotel and the restaurant were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room had the right size and had everything we needed. The complimentary breakfast was good. The location was great, because within a few minutes you were at the subway station to take the subway to go downtown. We’ve also really enjoyed the food and drinks at the restaurant. We did feel safe in and outside the hotel and we definitely will come back.

From Friday to Sunday it can get loud at the restaurant and the rooftop bar, but since everything closed at 22:00, it was okay.

A good place to stay for a few nights just outside Manhattan. The metro station was just around the corner which is super convenient. The staff was kind and very helpful. The bed were comfortable and clean. They had luggage storage under the bed, and hangers, and hooks for jackets and bags. The room was warm and the ac/heat was working great.

First I want to give a heads up that some rooms have glass showers, so they are somewhat see through. It can be uncomfortable if you travel with siblings or friends. The room was pretty small, but we had plenty of space for two big luggages. There was dust between the bed and the wall which it sucked for my socks. I could not walk bare foot. Definitely could be better because it’s a hard floor and it can be mopped very easily. Breakfast can be improved. They had only bagels and some sausage sandwiches, not many protein options.

Natascha, the front desk representative - "Above and Beyod" gets an entirely new meaning when she is involved. I got there at 02:00 AM, middle of the night, after a 12hrs flight and over 20 hours in transit, and due to my mistake with time zones, I had a booking only for the next day, and they were fully booked. I tried looking for other options at Booking.com, and none were available at reasonable prices and the options were very limited. I also was so tired I thought of finding a bench on the street to rest my head for a couple of hours because I could not go on any longer. Natascha calmed me down, let me sit at the lobby as long as I needed to sort my affairs, while she was calling close by hotels that she knew to see if there is any availability. She then checked, and found out there was a room at this property which wasn't occupied, and was technically not available for rent, but she managed to arrange that I get this room. and charged me the same price as my booking with them that I had for the next day (I was willing to pay much more at that moment). Natascha, you are a life saver. I will never forget your help. She also lent me a charger for my phone, as I didn't get the chance to get an American plug and olny had the European one. Also, the rest of the staff is very nice, the place was spotless clean, 2 minutes away from the subway, easy and cheap transportation to all the main places, comfy bad and pillows, hot shower, a safe I could fit my 14' laptop into, many towels, ac was good. Breakfast is coffee, bagels, eggs, jam and orange juice, not what I use to, but was good. I would stay again.
