Loved the view! The room size was great, I loved that it had everything you needed - kitchenette area, dining area, spacious porch, and large balcony. Just a quick drive or walk to the historic downtown area. Bed was comfortable and windows offered a welcoming in the morning! We were in room 303.

Nothing really — The water pressure and temp were great for the first two days, then it took a while for it to get warm on our last day. It was also the coldest day so far, so I’m thinking that had something to do with it. We ended up turning it off for a little while and when we tried again a little later, it was totally fine. No issues- just sharing the tip in case it happened to anyone else.

You must understand,it is not chain hotel - it is locally owned. They don't have 24/7 front desk. We arrived very late - 1.20am. But I made call in advance and they left my key in safe place,so I didn't have any issues on check in so late Room was clean, nice, carpet on the floor - it was great! We were here on winter,so carpet was warm comparing with tile. Great view. Very close to Appalachian ski resort! 8 minutes only,we loved this opportunity! And the Food Lion supermarket in 2 minutes. It is definitely very good option if you going to ride on Appalachian!

Everything was good

I called after I booked because we were going to arrive very late at night. Staff accommodated our late arrival with no issue. The room was spacious and clean. The view was beautiful! I wish we could have stayed longer, but we were only there to sleep for one night basically.

Only complaint was the shower did not drain very well. And there was someone playing very loud music late into the night which was frustrating, but the inn can't help that.

Our room was great; welcoming, well-stocked and very spacious. I traveled with my husband and two of our daughters. In some of the other 'chain' hotels we stayed in, we were cramped and squeezing past each other, but not here! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in our room. And the view... unbeatable! There is plenty to do in close proximity. We visited the Tweetsie Railroad just a few minutes down the road. There was a good variety of items available for breakfast and Darren is a wonderful host.I highly recommended a stay at Cliff Dwellers Inn. Melissa

The name of the hotel put me off a little, but when we arrived and saw that almost every room had a private balcony that overlooked a small lake below the stunning Blue Ridge mountains. The room was very large and so was the bathroom. The best part of the hotel is that it sits on the side of a VERY steep hillside so every room seems to have private unobstructed views of the mountains. It is also close to the center of the town where they have many interesting restaurants. This was the surprise winner of the best hotel we stayed in on our three week vacation.

Lovely Motel in a convenient good location with beautiful views of the lake over the road. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was clean.

Breakfast is mentioned in posts for this motel, however, this is not currently being offered. Coffee facility is available in reception but access is limited based upon when reception is staffed. If you know these things, the motel itself is very quaint and provides everything else you need for a comfortable stay.

It’s cute and quaint. The room was lovely and comfy. It was quiet and pleasant overall (although the folks next door were a bit loud the next morning). It has free Wi-Fi with very good cable channels…great movies and TV shows. A very convenient location with restaurants, shopping center, and a lake right across from the inn. It was rainy this weekend so we will take a walk over there next time we visit.

The continental breakfast needs much improvement. It’s not difficult to offer a more appealing breakfast…just more effort is needed.

TV wasn't the best, check out was not good. We went to check out around 7 the office was closed and sign said to call a number for check out so I called and got no answer, mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. So we actually left and had breakfast and had to come back across town to check out.

It's a great location, and our room was huge and beautiful! The young lady in the office was nice. Loved the day lilies growing outside the huge bay window! First room I've ever had with enough pillows! Ice was placed in our room for us before we got there. It's the little things that make you feel good, but that BIG BED!!!!

Breakfast is tiny and only available for little more than an hour. Woman's dog kept barking at me! But, I couldn't hear it in my room.

The location is fantastic! The views are amazing. Our room had a small private balcony which was really nice.

It needs a little bit of love as far as updating goes. The cleaning fluids used leave a bit of an odor, but not too bad. Overall, I was very happy and would probably stay here again.
