I don’t know why people are complaining, in some reviews? It is a bare bones budget hotel, with a great location, literally 5 minutes from the beach, and has a full market across the street, and a restaurant literally next door. You have to ask daily for replacement towels, and this not the Wyndham Suites. The staff is more than accommodating, and you just have to be polite. The check in process is remote, but fast and effective. 90% of the time is spent at the beach and site seeing. The rooms are clean & nice. If you want to pay $499 a day, then knock yourself out.

Location. Rooms were ok. Beds very comfy. Shower and towels very good. Easy parking. Man at front desk very nice and willing to assist with any questions/issues. Locks on doors seemed secure. TV worked great. Not much view from 2nd floor ocean view but it was ok. Room was large. Coffee maker worked fine. Curtains are black out and seem newish... Just wish the place was cleaner and old dated furniture was not there.

Hallways not very clean Floors, walls and railings. In room, I wore flip flops the entire time. Floor seemed a little dirty. Furniture old and dusty. Lamps not working.

of course the location. directly across from Jeannette’s fishing pier. also a nice beach with restrooms and handicap ramp. The hotel itself is an older one, so don’t expect to have a 5 star luxury stay. But it is definitely not a dump. it’s comfortable and has select rooms and cabins for everyone with just about any needs , pet friendly, and Handicap. We always enjoy our stay there. - the staff is helpful and friendly. Worth the trip. Off season prices are ✅

The only kind of bad-ish part, was we got the last room. of course in the third level. no elevator for people ? yes one for baggage! Arthritic legs and hips didn’t appreciate that. But survived nice view and breeze at the top

The location was amazing. Store across the street that will have everything you need from groceries, hardware, cookware, drinks, deli. Also walkable restaurants, beach access & an amazing peir to fish off of! Honestly, If you wanted to park and not leave for a whole week, you wouldn't have to everything is within walking distance here. I also heard nothing of my neighbors in the hotel was packed, so the walls are solid!

The shower was a bit small & I woke up one morning with the water not working, but as soon as I was about to report it the water came back on. So I noticed it not working for about 6 mins. Not sure if this is just a thing in the outer banks

The location was absolutely perfect we love the restaurant right next door they have some amazing food. The pier is directly across the street so we can go right to the beach. We rode our motorcycles down so that made it really good for us to be able to go straight across without having to carry all of our stuff. I love the little heart Arrangement that was left on the bed that was perfect it was our anniversary weekend. Thank you

Our TV was not working most of our visit the channels keep coming in and out when they were coming in. My husband suggests putting paper towels in the rooms so that we're able to clean up behind ourselves. My husband also felt like it would be easier if someone was at the front desk to be able to speak to you when you need something.

We loved it. Have been there before a few yrs ago and was nice then,staying in one of their cottages. Loved being on the 1st floor this time also and parking in front of our room. I'm assuming that I was speaking to the owner at the front desk while checking in. Very nice gentleman. Room was clean. We were very comfortable. It was a great room.

It's not that I didn't like anything,just disappointed that there was no iron or ironing board. Otherwise,we were very satisfied. We will be back next year or later this summer.

The location of the hotel is great. Just cross the street to the pier and the beach. The man at the desk was very nice and helpful when we had to check in late. We really enjoyed the short getaway.

The shower is small but did the job. The water Temps were great. The bed was comfy but the pillows were not so good. Next time I think I need a bottom floor cause bad ankle and steps are not good.

I liked the location to a popular restaurant and to a general store/deli. This location is directly across the street from Jennette's Pier which is a great place for fishing/surfing/shady spot on the beach. We were very close to many of our favorite restaurants and the bridge that connects to Manteo. We also could have walked the 2 or 3 blocks to the outlet mall but we didn't want to carry around all that great treasure! The place was very clean and we had everything we needed for our 3 night stay, a micro-fridge, a Hamilton-Beach version of the Keurig machine, hairdryer, iron & ironing board. The bathroom was small but it worked as intended and I liked that they offered liquid soap dispensers at the sink and in the shower. It was not a 5 star place, but it was very well maintained. We did have to ask for a fresh set of towels and the manager took care of that straight away. Our room was on the ground level so we didn't have an ocean view; however, I was given a tour of the cottages and the rooms that do have an ocean view. The manager is working on making some upgrades that will improve the spaces, like new windows and remodeling for better flow in some spaces. I would stay here again just so I can have the funds to spend on shopping and good restaurant meals.

One set of towels was starting to show its age but the second set was great! We only had one K-cup that wasn't decaf, and they did not come to provide new cups or coffee pods. I'm sure that if we had asked, it would have been provided but were just not used to having to ask for the in room coffee replacements. The parking lot is small so one car per room fills the lot and having a smaller car makes it easier to navigate the lot.

The accommodations were fine for my one night stay. Bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for the event that my friend and I were attending. I appreciated staff allowing us to check in a little early, as requested. I would stay there again.

Floor was pretty sandy. (But it IS the beach.) Think it could have been swept better before we arrived. Overall, it was good.

I loved that the guy who checked us in was super nice. Anytime I needed anything he always got us whatever we asked for. He even asked how the dog was doing multiple times because he ingested to much sea water. The fact that he cares about the guest and not just a dollar makes a huge difference, at least for me. Plus the value of the room for the cost is such a good deal. It’s not a resort so no red carpet but the fact that it’s clean no bugs and guest driven is amazing. Next time we might stay in a condo that might be a little bigger. Top notch for sure.
