Beautiful hotel with so much history and character! The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. The entire staff, starting with the front desk, breakfast staff to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. Everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas and conveniently located across the street from the BotanicalGardens. This was our first time staying at the Glidden House, and we definitely plan to return during the summer.

Limted ,tight parking with a fee but expected for the location.

The Glidden House is a fascinating historic hotel. Its exterior is so beautiful and attractive to me. I loved its dignified interior and classic furniture. The lobby and the halls were so clean and gorgeous, I think. The mini bar look so interesting and romantic, even though I didn't use it. The room was also wide enough and clean, beds are comfortable with special pillows, still, the sheet is not much soft. Nice amenity. It has three different types of dining room for breakfast, which is also a nice contrast. The breakfast had well diversity of bread, sausage, fruits, disserts, and drinks, which I liked. A staff kindly explained breakfast and its menu. The staff has real professionalism. The neighborhood is so safe and has a great Cleveland Museum of Art and other attractions and restaurants in a walking distance.

A sheet on a bed is not much soft, which is not a problem for my tight sleep. I appreciate the Hotel and the staff's friendly and devoted support.

I have a daughter at Case Western Reserve University - you cannot beat this location for visiting the University and walking around the museums. My room was spacious, had a nice desk, a cushioned bench and lounge chair. The staff is so nice and you can tell the hotel is fastidious about keeping the place clean - Breakfast was nice with eggs and sausage, pastries, oatmeal/cereal and yogurt. They have a small bar and lovely patio - This is my third time coming to this hotel - it is not the cheapest around but it is worth it. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

They charged me for parking.. I don't think they did that before. No gym.. I know.. boutique hotel.. but a small fitness center for guest would be nice.. they offer discount a local gym - weather was good so a jog around the campus was an option this time.

The breakfast was great. The staff members, as mentioned, were also so pleasant. I really loved the look of the Glidden House building, both interior and exterior (beautiful carpets, drapes, furniture and wooden beams, solarium for breakfast and cozy bar). Just an amazing place that I have already recommended to friends. I loved the view from the (we were on the front side). The location was perfect, near so many cultural attractions. Although we were originally coming only for the day (we were coming for my wife's follow up visit to the Cleveland Clinic), we decided to make a weekend of it and hit the Cleveland Art Museum on Saturday (and I hit the Final Four on Friday(!). It was such a much grander experience than staying at big brand cookie-cutter hotels. Just perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I wish we could come more often.

I liked everything about Glidden House.

Glidden House was a nice place with excellent location near the museums at University Circle. The staff was was very helpful when we needed driving directions and replenishing some food that had run out during breakfast. We also had fun at the bar the one evening we were there.

I understand that there are only so many rooms available and it absolutely was not the staff’s fault, but the one very minor disappointment was that we were only able get a room one night and had to stay somewhere else the other two nights we were in Cleveland.

Welcoming, accommodating, attentive to detail. Beautiful old home, well decorated, CLEAN. There is a wonderful buffet breakfast (similar types of food but much better quality), close to museums and easy access to I-90. Located on Wake Forest University’s beautiful campus.

There is one elevator to the upper floors & it’s a bit slow. Also, the transition into/out of it is uneven on the 1st floor. I use a cane so this was an issue for me. Bright tape across the threshold and a WATCH YOUR STEP notice would be helpful.

I have stayed before. It is charming. Good location for museums, CWRU.

The breakfast has declined. There is no fresh fruit. The fruit is a cocktail mix that is sold in bulk with preservatives. There is no milk. The breakfast was superior years ago. The noise (off back parking lot) on Saturday night due to a fraternity party was annoying, ask for a front facing room. Some of the wait staff seem unhappy and are slamming things down such as mugs. The bed linens are cheap. There is no warm blanket or comforter. The overall place seems to have cut corners.

The location is the best choice if you plan to visit museums in Cleveland. It is within walking distance to all museums located in University circle. Also, the traditional hot breakfast is well served during cold winter days.

Because it is a historical building, it is not equipped with central air conditioning/heating. Quite some noise would be expected if the heating is on overnight. Instead of down comforter, we are somewhat disappointed that only single layer blanket is offered on the bed in January. It would be much better if free packing were offered. Anyway, it is a pleasant experience.

The location is inside the Case Western Reserve University. It is safe and convenient. It is only 4 minutes away from the famous Cleveland Museum of Art, where we spent a lot of time. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel rate is very reasonable. The breakfast is included and very good.

We are here between Christmas and New Year. The air condition in our room is sometimes very loud when heating up in the evening. Not sure whether it is only specific to our room, or in general to the hotel.

Love the ambiance including the great music from the era. Staff is wonderful, especially Louise at the front desk who is always so professional efficient and thoughtful . And James who can offer a wealth of information about the history of the property and the area. Great breakfast and fresh hot coffee which is always appreciated.

On this stay the bar lobby had been rearranged with what we sincerely hope is temporary furnishings. The original arrangement was perfect so here is hoping it was just out for cleaning! This part of the hotel has always been a favorite part of the whole experience and was so cozy and inviting. Looking forward to it returning!
