I used to live in the neighborhood and this is the second time that I've stayed at the La Quinta, Domain. The value for the location is great. I almost hesitate to write that because I don't want it to get more expensive. It's my "go to" when visiting Austin. It's located right next to a Whole Foods and in the Domain North-side which means that you are walking distance to a variety of restaurants, bars, and retail shopping. There is easy access to the rapid bus line and the metro rail is a moderate walk or a short ride. The room was large and clean and the property was quiet at night.

The only little hiccup that I had was with the WiFi. They had just migrated away from having a password for guests and when I connected, I was getting a warning page about the WiFi not being secure, and I was unable to access the internet or stream content. I went to the front desk and the staff was great. They explained about the password being removed and she walked me through the steps to get signed into the WiFi. It required tapping an "advanced" button on that warnings page and then clicking the link to their provider. From the next page I was signed in. Not a deal breaker by any stretch and I'm sure it is something that they'll be able to streamline for guests in the future.

The hotel has the best location right next to the Domain shopping plaza. A whole foods is close by which was necessary for our family so we could grab snacks for the little one. The hotel had a pool which was nice we were on the first floor right next to it! The breakfast had a good spread, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage which we enjoyed. Its pet friendly with $25 pet fee! We really appreciate it being pet friendly. The room had a mini fridge as well which we greatly appreciated. Overall our stay was great and the staff was super friendly and super helpful with dinner recommendations!

Our 1st night the staff was friendly at the front desk. The location was awesome 👌

Our 2nd night 🌙 the front office lady was very serious. Room was not cleaned the 2nd night. Room service never went in to throw the trash and put new cups for coffee ☕️ or to pick up dirty towels. I had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and toilet paper. Then I saw housekeeping and asked for trash bags and let her know about the trash and pointed 👉 to her cart so I can throw it myself. Also, should have a handrail in the restroom so elderly can hold themselves when going in.

I liked the location and how clean the Hotel was, very close to everything needed.

The staff was a little unprofessional, not very good manners while checking in. Also, the breakfast was not complete, we had stayed in this same hotel before and the breakfast was excellent, very complete, eggs, breakfast sausages, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurts, juices, fruits, etc. This last time there were only waffles and coffee, that's it. No protein to add to the breakfast you need to start your day with if you want to spend your day as a tourist visiting several places in Austin. Breakfast is advertised on the webpage so I'm not sure if the lack of a complete breakfast was because of La Quinta or if it was the decision of the staff that day...

I really liked the room especially the bathroom mirror. Check in was easy and clerk was cheerful and accommodating. The hotel resembled a apartment complex which fits in well with the neighborhood. Though it was hard to sight from the highway.

I could not find a comfortable pillow even though there were six there. The hall way doors to the rooms slammed and were very noisy. The scrambled eggs on the buffet was very tasty but there were no sausages ready to accompany the scrambled eggs. Google did not have consistent routes to the hotel each time I needed to find it.

Excellent wifi, no fussing with an esoteric password or anything. Walkable to Whole Foods and within 5 minutes of an HEB. Easy to hop on MoPac and get downtown in 15-20 minutes. Kind folks at the front desk. Comfy beds.

The separating room door was weird and made me a bit anxious; luckily, no one was staying there until my last night, and they were quiet. I didn't like the fact that I had to ask someone at the front desk to access to gym. It's more common to use the room key for access. Not a huge deal, just seemed unnecessary.

I liked the warmth & kindness of the staff, the facility was clean, my room was cozy, right down to the shower. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The eggs! I was excited about the complimentary breakfast until I tasted the eggs both mornings and was disappointed. I'm not sure what was used in them but, the taste was offff. Some outlets in the room by the desk weren't working.

The hotel was clean, nice atmosphere, and nice staff.

During breakfast time, there should be an allergy list and more options for plant based eaters. Staff was not knowledgeable about food ingredients that were offered at their own hotel. Also, the bathroom in the hotel room hadn't been cleaned properly. I fixed a few things myself.

The included breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect with everything nearby. It was clean and easily accesible with perfect parking space.

The locks on the doors other than the front were not working, when inputting my door card in them they wouldn't open the doors when trying to enter from the door on the sides, it only ever worked once. Also, the wifi could be better. Even wired through ethernet, it would disconnect.

The location is the best. Good for early morning walks or evening walks.

The one thing I had a problem with were the key cards to enter the room. I was going back to the front desk to have them reprogramed just about each day. I did as they asked; did not have them near my phone or a magnet or anywhere. But they kept getting demagnetized everyday. It's no one's fault.
