The room was big, two king beds, and the entire property was in pretty good shape, considering some of the reviews we read. I've been in commercial construction for 30 years and could have gone through that building and made a punch list of things that needed attention or finishing, but none of it was a deal breaker, really. (Paint cracked at top corners, paint chipped on corners and such....) The facility as a whole was good, clean, and kept that way. We went for a bike rally, and normally, staff doesn't clean the room, but once or twice during an extended stay, our room was cleaned every day, beds made, trash removed. Overall, we had a good experience for what we were there for.

1. We did find one, ONE, small roach in the bathroom. 2. Laundry - laundry room is on 2nd floor, soap is sold in lobby (1st floor) from vending machine, there's a soda machine in laundry room, there are no change machines ANYWHERE, and front desk doesn't have change. Fix for this - put a change machine IN LAUNDRY ROOM, a vending machine with soap IN LAUNDRY ROOM 3. Our a/c worked, but could've been better to battle the humidity of the area, especially with rain. This is not that big of a deal, but was less than awesome.

The Value, good price for the location just across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The rooms were very clean and have hard floors not carpet, breakfast is included and adequate, there’s plenty of parking including some covered, bed and pillows were comfortable and a had a nice partial view to the ocean from my room.

The hotel is in need of updates, the bedsheets were rough and so were the facial tissues, just minor things like that.

Breakfast was typical for this type of hotel. Waffle maker to make fresh waffles, so that was nice. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Location was great--beach directly across the street (although it was a busy highway and took some time to cross at times) and since it was away from the historic part of the island the beach wasn't crowded at all. Lifeguard located near the pier. Beds were comfy. Microwave and mini fridge were useful. No complaints.

Typical hotel in this class. Don't expect luxury; you're getting what you pay for. Perfect for a short beach getaway.

Elevator was little scary, would act like it was going to close on you, but didn't . The elevator took a long time come to us. The balcony door was really hard to close/open The tub did not have a plug to take a bath if needed, the water was also constantly dripping. Toilet took a while to finish flushing

i loved the location of this hotel! you are maybe 2 minutes from the beach, all you have to do is cross the busy street with no crosswalk 😅 every room has a partial view with balcony, which is exactly what we were looking for. but it was pretty old, which is the only drawback for me. the room was dark, but comfy. feels like the 80s. breakfast was ok, eggs, biscuits and gravy, oat milk waffle maker and drinks cereal. I would def come back for a cheap, and lovely getaway. everything was clean, and the staff was great.

the water from the faucet tasted like salty fish…. we couldn’t even brew coffee with it without tasting like dirty fish water. bring bottled water to drink, you’re going to smell fishy in the bath.

The room was quiet and large, bed comfortable, and my check in was smooth and uneventful. I am still surprised I got such a great deal across the street from the Gulf and even with a tiny balcony! Absolutely will stay here again.

I did not have any dislikes. It is not a fancy hotel but it does not pretend to be. It would be nice if they allowed pets, but that is a personal preference. It is further away from the busy end of the island and that may be an issue if a visitor here had no car. However, it also meant the beach was quieter which is quite lovely.

The bed was very comfortable and I am very picky about my mattress. The room was nice and big. The air conditioner worked very well. I loved the breakfast in the morning. My favorite was the amazing coffee. It was delicious. So were the eggs.

There was no water in the room for coffee or anything. When I called the front desk, they said they were out. I don't think we should have had to pay for water out of the vending machine. This was the ONLY thing that was not perfect about this stay. I am very pleased.

The breakfast was very good. It consisted of scrambled eggs, bagels, cream cheese, homemade waffles (with two waffle makers) butter, syrup, peanut butter. They also had toast, cereal, milk, coffee w/flavored creamers and three differnt kinds of juice. We really enjoyed this breakfast, for two mornings.

Maybe some yogart or fruit, but everything was fresh and the dining room very clean.

The room was spacious. And clean. The view was amazing.

The elevator was slow. And when my teens tried to buy a soda late at night from the little snack shop yall have they were told they don't take cards and needed cash only or they would need to go to the convient store which they walked too. I was not happy they left the hotel at night. Wish the hotel had offered to charge the sodas and snacks to my room since they had my credit card info. Other than that no complaints
