Views are wonderful and closeness to the lake is great. It is nice to have the outside deck to hang out at late hours and visit with friends. Clean rooms, facility and grounds. Friendly/helpful staff. Good pools and Hot tub. The ability to check out at 11:00 is a great thing. The coffee machine in the lobby is a good thing. Would probably like to see it stay open until 12:00 p.m. instead of 11:00 a.m. The small size of the rooms maybe a turn off to some people but it did not bother me at all. It doesn't really factor in for the whole experience. I didn't see a trail map for walking but I may have missed it.

Phones didn't work so well. It would be great to have a bar and the main hotel with some basic food. Even so it is good that the general store has at least pizza and burgers and a variety of beverages available.

Staying at the lodge was a wonderful experience for me and my family. My kids had a blast in the pool and under the sweltering heat of July it was more than welcome. The lake (we didn't try the kayaks) and the whole surroundings are very beautiful. All in all: great stay and a good resting place to visit Shenandoah National Park.

The fact that there is no breakfast, nor an on-site restaurant is the only little negative point I can think of. There is a grocery store on the compound which is also a deli, but the store wasn't overstocked with the items we craved.

the property was up to date ,well kept, and clean staff was friendly and mostly helpful with the exception of changing the sheets

the room was smaller then it looked in the pictures, the electrical sockets were Insufficient and adapters were used to try to make everything work. the rooms were not cleaned every day and when asked to have the sheets changed some new ones were dropped off outside our door instead of staff changing them . there were no options for food on the premises not even a basic breakfast option.

Employees were nice and check-in & check-out were easy. Brandon was super helpful as a concierge.

A lot of the activities and food places are still closed for no reason. Bathroom had hair stuck to the walls and tub from the previous guests. Despite there being vacant cabins with better scenery and locations, we were given a basic cabin with difficult parking next to lots of traffic.

I love the jacuzzi and the pool and the game room and the cabin was so beautiful and I had great privacy everything I needed except for the food.

I honestly wouldn't have changed anything besides the weather it was a little bit chilly because of the time of year I decided to go and there was a lot of outdoor activities that I could have taken part of if it had been warmer.

Great surroundings and beautiful view from the pool. Despite the numerous houses there was enough place at the pool. The resort area is very well maintained.

No restaurant on site since COVID. Very comfortable beds in the houses.

This place is really cool. I was a bit nervous given some other reviews. I expected our log cabin to be old but it was completely refurbished and really nice! We had views of the lake too.

Would be awesome if the bar & restaurant would reopen - sitting on the deck overlooking the lake is a very special spot.

Queen room less spacious than similarly priced national hotels we have patronized Bathroom basin and tub/shower ordinary compared with property common areas

Brittni was absolutely great. Booking.Com messed up my dates and she helped me so much. they didn’t have a room for me for the first night of my stay so she upgraded me to a cabin.

3 bedroom Cabins and yurts are for timeshare owners only.

the cabins were so cute! the lodge had a pool and an arcade which was so fun!

I think the staff should show you where your cabin is if you prefer/when it’s dark and rainy out since you have to drive from the lodge to the cabin. we had to ask for directions twice.
