The location was excellent with a lot to see within walking distance. The room was very nice, spacious and impeccably clean. The bed was huge and very comfy. As well, the night view from the 10th floor was quite nice.

I had an early flight in the morning and couldn't make it to breakfast, thus I asked to prepare a lunchbox. Although the lunchbox was prepared on time, the contents was far from expectations. A small sandwich, water and a few small fruits, the value of such a lunch box compared to the price of the room with breakfast included was very disappointing. Also, as I had an early flight in the morning I wanted to go rest early, but the music from a bar on the ground floor was quite loud even for the 10th floor.

This was the second time we stayed at the City Palace on this trip. Check in was much smoother, the staff were lovely- some front desk probs but booking related not personnel. It's a great location, big comfortable hotel with a nice pool. All the taxis know it and it's close to the metro and many of the museums. Also great with the Hyatt next door which offers a lovely roof terrace for sunset cocktails.

They are used to catering for big tour groups so individuals checking in just need to avoid those times and put up with the fact that check in can be long and painful but persevere it' s worth it. The hotel charges $35 for an airport pick up. Don't bother. Airport taxis cost $20 for a nice car. Hotel to airport on Yondex $3 to $4 so easy.

Rooms were perfect. The swimming pool was a bit busier than the first time I came (which was nice) and we were able to enjoy a quiet afternoon with food and drinks by the pool after a busy week visiting other parts of the country. Reception agent U. went far out of his way to help us with retrieving a passport our daughter had forgotten in Samarkand in time to fly back home and for this great service, we are very grateful.

Location, size of the room, the female receptionist was very friendly.

Too long waiting time to check in, the girl was always alone. There was a gentleman at the reception who questioned my wife why she doesn't have that green passport with her for Uzbek people. Is he a police officer? Every Time I've seen this gentleman he looked upset. There was no fridge in the room and the bath was leaking. The hotel needs a refurbishment, it's not five star. Filter coffee for breakfast? Wyndham Tashkent and Bukhara or Hilton Samarkand are four star hotels with better service.

I had an excellent stay at the City Palace. Check-in was very efficient, the room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet, the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of foods, and the location was convenient to Amir Temur Square (maybe a 15-minute walk). It was just a ten-minute walk to a Metro station, and there were also buses if I had decided to make use of them. The staff was always very courteous and helpful with questions. City Palace offers very good value for the price. If I come back to Tashkent at some point, I would definitely want to stay here again.

The location of the hotel was perfect with access to markets and restaurants. The food was nice at the restaurant and the staff were extremely helpful .

The bathrooms had leaks and it took them almost 2 day to realize the same. Despite reminders the TV remote could not be fixed

I like this property, clean, comfortable sleeping place, very spacious rooms, wonderful food, staff and location is very good The only thing I would like them to do is to renew WC in all rooms (including taps) since it looks a bit old. Other points - absolutely lovely place . My 2nd stay here

The hotel was right in the centre of town which made it easy to explore on foot, get to metro stations etc. The rooms very large and well appointed. Staff were excellent and the breakfast had vast variety of options to fit all tastes. Parking is available on site and easy to access without assistance.

The beds very too soft for our tastes but none the less very comfortable. Wifi was a bit spotty in one of the rooms we booked.

Spacious comfortable room. Large comfy bed. Car hire company is on the ground floor. ATM there too. Parking available. Staff were all helpful, except in the lobby bar. 1 indoor and 2 outdoor pools, towels provided. Good breakfast with lots of options
