The apartments are well suited for a long stay trip. It is well situated within walking distance to the majority of travel/activity agents, transport hire, and ferries. Iririki Island is just across from the apartment with a free ferry where a day pass can be purchased. The majority of shops are just a few minutes away. The apartment included a kitchenette, washing machine, and dryer. The furniture is functional and clean. We were unfortunate to experience the earthquakes that hit Port Villa on 17/12/2024. However, Elliott and his staff were fantastic. He made sure we were safe and looked after. Even made sure we had internet again within days and assisted us were possible until flights were available, days after our initial booking. The earthquakes were proof that it is a strong and safe building with friendly, caring staff. The Waterfront bar across the street has great margaritas and tasty food if you don't feel like cooking. The Mariner is a good base to return to after a day of exploring.

Location was great, across from beautiful blue water, easy access to a supermarket up the road, car hire up the road, bars and restaurants nearby. Tough times post earthquake, so the accessibility of the main hub in town is restricted but not impossible to get into as a few business are starting to reopen. Highly recommend booking a car for your visit or get a grasp on transport. The locals are very helpful, honest and just beautiful people. Walking down the street with anyone and everyone saying ‘good morning’ or ‘happy new year’ sets the tone for how resilient, grateful and kind the locals are, the world could learn something. Elliot the apartment host was great, couldn’t do enough for us. We will return soon!

This is a great choice for those who want to be close to Port Vila. It’s only a short 10-minute walk to town, and in either direction there’s a Bon Marché supermarket. The apartment has a full-on kitchen with pretty much everything should you want to cook, or across the street is a very nice restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The apartment is very comfortable and everything works. The WiFi is very good and you even have Netflix. I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony reading and enjoying the view of the harbor across the way. You do get car noise from the road below, but that would be true of anywhere in Port Vila. It stops in the evening, so no problem and it didn’t bother me. The staff here are lovely people; they keep everything in spotless shape. Communication before and during my stay was excellent. I especially appreciated the transfer service to and from the airport. I’d happily stay here again.

Elliot and his team always look after me so well when I am in town. If you need to stay in Port Vila, then this is the location. Close to supermarkets and with onsite parking, the rooms are also fantastic with cooking facilities and comfy beds! The view from my balcony was amazing as usual and watching the sun go down over the water was stunning as always. Its on the main road but the traffic noise is minimal. Elliot always goes above and beyond to ensure my stay is great and he is very happy to help when things go wrong with flights etc which happens regularly in Vanuatu! Thanks again!

Mariner made it really easy for us. We had to work for two days while vacationing and needed solid wifi. Their network didn’t let us down once. Also the rooms were incredibly spacious, making it easy to relax. Location is very close to town so I walked to the supermarket at lunchtime to buy stuff for dinner, very convenient. What I also loved was that the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed - pots, pans, knives, kettles, microwaves, everything was there. Even a rice cooker which came in handy! Also the staff were incredibly flexible which made our life a lot easier.

Mariner Apartments were great. Location was amazing, a 5 minute walk to the town centre (Port Vila). The view was amazing from our apartment. The apartments were well stocked and were perfect for our requirements, the beds were large and comfy, the kitchen had everything you needed (although we didn't cook during our stay), there was a nice sitting area with large TV with Netflix (although dubious choices in the memory from the previous occupant), a large desk / table for working on and sitting areas outside on the balconies. There was a pool, although we only used it once, due to a member of our party having a cast on his arm! Eliot (owner) and Helen (manager) were excellent, very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. The same went for the housekeeping staff. We had a medical emergency one night and Helen was amazing, she stayed with us until the paramedics arrived. If we do go back to Port Vila we would happily stay at the Mariner Apartments again. Family of 4 (2 boys, ages 11 and 13).

I was always a liitle worried on the balcony and made sure we all stayed clear of the glass panels.

Staff were very attentive from booking, could chat with them via Whatsapp to arrange time for free airport transfer etc. And when my flights changed, they were very accommodating. Apartment was very clean, had all the things you need, staff serviced apartments each day, washing dishes etc. Great location, great view, great security. Wifi worked relatively well.

Only 5 TV channels. Would be awesome if you provided Digicel, Canal+ or Telsat TV or all of them ;-)

The Mariner is an exceptional property in Port Vila. While it may not have the swim up bar, it has incredible views, beautiful, friendly staff and a comfortable location to town. Lovely reasonably priced restaurants are a stones throw away. The apartment we stayed in is fabulous for families, in that it has two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen that allowed home cooked meals and a full laundry. The pool was a fun addition.

Property was very centrally located - just a 5 minute walk to restaurants/markets/supermarket. Overlooks the water and is a few minutes walk to the waterfront. The staff are fantastic too. After asking one of the lovely ladies if we could grab one of those small hotel-sized milks in our fridge for coffee, she went down to the supermarket and bought us a litre carton of milk which was so sweet of her. They also kindly accommodated an earlier check-in for us (11:45am!) Elliot (the managing director) is fantastic also. I accidentally left my jacket behind in the hotel prior to my flight back to Australia and he said he’d ship it over free of charge! In terms of our room - we had a washing machine & dryer, full sized fridge, king sized bed, couch, tv, oven and stove top. Fantastic customer service, great apartment and fantastic location too - highly recommend!

Everything about the Mariner Apartments was great. The apartments are spacious, well designed and have everything you need for a very comfortable stay, including very reliable wi-fi. The pool is perfect for a dip. The view across to Iririki Island is fantastic and such a joy to wake up to every morning. The staff were incredibly helpful. I will definitely return.

It was a perfect 6 night stay - should have been 7 nights but a cyclone got in the way of the first night!
