The room was bigger than expected, and we had a really nice view. The hostel and the common rooms are absolutely beautiful and great places to chill. Room Service, Laundry etc. is also available! They have a nice bar/Restaurant as well. They offer a great variety of programs and tours every day to take part in. The rooms are simple but great to stay for a few nights!! The location is absolutely perfect to explore the city and there is everything you need nearby!

The bathrooms were almost never clean unfortunately, they could have been cleaned more frequently. We were on the 6th floor, where also the rooftop bar is located. Some days a week they do parties there. In our room it was so loud we could not even understand each other and the bass was shattering our ears. We had to wake up really early the next day and just wanted to sleep, which was very stressful. The reception also could not tell us when the party was going to end, just said "not that late".

Selina was the best value for money that could find across Booking, Airbnb, and Hostelworld for a 10-day stay. The private room was very comfortable and the hostel offers lots of amenities (ground cafe/restaurant, co-working space for additional fee, common library and kitchen space, and rooftop bar on weekends). The wifi worked very well and it's in a convenient location for Centro Historico. The decor and artwork made it a lot more enjoyable than other comparable priced hotels we looked at.

The noise on the 6th floor when there were rooftop parties was so loud that it was nearly impossible to sleep without earplugs. The bathroom trash was always overflowing the morning after rooftop parties (get a larger trash can?). And any toiletries left in the shared bathrooms were immediately thrown out by cleaning staff each morning (don't forget your shampoo behind!). It's a younger crowd here, so the kitchen was always a mess and very dirty, despite valiant staff efforts to keep it clean and tidy.

The hotel has a very centric location which was in walkable distance from the Zocalo and other attractions Bed was comfortable and there was good internet for work. They had clothes washing services

the hotel sits on I think the most noisy corner of CDMX, the windows let through most noise. I could sleep without earplugs but for someone more sensitive it can be a problem

It’s a great place to meet people if you are a solo traveler and shows happening at night are a nice chance to chill before sleep.

Customer Service could be better at restaurant area and staff at the bar should be more gentle and helping with guests to order food and drinks.

The staff.. BIDAL was very helpful in helping me to navigate the city. The Dance class I had from Trinity was mind blowing.. It set me on a better path of health. Sabstian the guard had wonderful conversation about life in Mexico. All of the Bar tenders were excellent.

Lights go out too early in the pool table area.

I staying in the community dorm room. Even though I was the only woman most of the time, I felt safe and comfortable. I like their reading lamps and electrical outlets inside the bunk.

Lighting in the restaurant and common areas was not that great if you wanted to read or work on drawings.

for solo travellers and those needing Co-working space / good WiFi, Selina is hard to beat. very modern and great spaces. private room was very cute and all you need. great for one person.

isn’t as friendly vibe as some others, but then again is more ‘work’ than play feel - not a problem though. bathrooms could be better and more attention needed. only other slight fault was that Upon arrival, nothing was explained . I.e. where the kitchen, roof top, work space, bathrooms etc were. to be fair, maybe as one guy was learning and his English wasn’t that strong. other staff v good.

other than just being an hotel/ hostel and apt. Selina offers a cultural experience and parties so you’re not just alone stuck in your room. There’s always something to do and you’re always meeting people.

Dont stay on room 619 unless you’re going to join the party till 3am. 619 is right next to the bar. Beautiful balcony but if you need to sleep just stay far from it.

Perfect location, amazing facilities, friendly staff, comfy beds, a nice little restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Would stay again and 100% recommend.

There were a few ants on the floor on the first day of our stay but they were mostly gone the next day so overall not a huge deal.

the bed was very comfortable the room is a little small. the dorm for 4 has 2 twin bed and one bunk bed. sometimes the toilet flush has issues you have to open the top to readjust it. the dorm has a private bathroom the place is nice overall as it was a former hotel I liked where it was located, downtown near local stuff (you have a market next to it where you can eat for cheap and good food!)

the shower was sometimes not having hot water or you had to wait a long time to have it hot the walls are really thin you can hear everything
