Although it is an old and pretty tired property, the rooms have all the necessities and they are comfortable. The owners are gradually renovating the whole property, starting with the outdoor space which will be a huge bonus. They are maintaining the rooms currently and will be renovating each room on an ongoing basis.

Keeping in mind that it is an old property, so there are things that really need updating but that is in the works. In the meantime, it is clean and comfortable so I can’t really say that there was anything I didn’t like.

This place worked very well for us to base ourselves as we spent two days looking around the Hunter Valley. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed very comfortable lovely big room. They're in the process of updating it so it's going to be even better this did not affect us in fact we rather like the nice 1970s tiles on the bathroom floor. . Excellent value .

It has a nice retro vintage feel, which I liked. The room was spacious and comfy, with fresh linens and updated art and accessories.

The bathroom was a bit outdated, but functional. I understand they are in the process of updating the motel, which is very exciting. For the price it was still excellent value.

I do like that there is clear effort and thought put into the renovations transition that they’re doing. There are some very lovely touches, like the unique blankets and pillows on a clean and new bed. There is nice hanging art and an exceptionally clean bathroom.

There is some improvement to be made, I think that a microwave or an ironing board would really go a long way!

The Staff was exceptionally helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a group reunion and the staff made sure that we were comfortable and warmed by a "fire pit" fire

kitchen facilities were very poor. No toaster or microwave oven. Just one t-spoon, 2 mugs, no knives, forks or bowls. Just 2 water glasses. No Wine glasses or no tea towels, plates or plug for the bathroom vanity basin. No Clock. and no small table to sit at to have breakfast or a coffee. Maybe an electric blanket for the colder months would enhance one's stay & comfort.

We stayed there because we were attending a concert at one of the vineyards. There are bus services that run from the motel(s) in Cessnock so if you are going to a concert worth checking out. The hosts were very friendly and liked to have a chat to everyone as they packed up in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable. Locally owned so worth supporting

There are not enough car parks on site but there is street parking

The room itself was updated with the white brick. Quite nice. Good location. The beds were super comfy and the netlfix on TV was a great touch.

The door to the bathroom was updated to a sliding barn door which looked great but when you close it it rolls back open. Also the curtains were a bit far back from the window so was quite a gap you could see through. Luckily we were at the end of the row and didn't really bother us we just avoided that corner.

Traveled for work. Friendly and hospitable staff. Motel is a work in progress. Club very close with good food and drink. Good shower, air con and tea facilities. I will stay again.

Room very clean and comfortable, room is from a bygone era but has modern facilities and tech, the owner is in the process of updating properties facilities. I'm looking forward to seeing the ongoing progress.

Did not have breakfast!

There should have been a sign outside with the name Cessnock Vintage Motor Inn. We could not find it and were told they are doing renovatiions so it was removed....We could not access the address at that time I forget why now.

Was a lovely place to stay. Close to shops and town. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and professional and we definitely will return for another stay in the future.

The only downfall was that there was no microwave available otherwise couldn’t fault our stay.
