We stayed in the Rosebank Cottage as a family, which was lovely. We each had separate bedrooms and ensuite with lounge, dining and kitchen in between, with everything we needed. The hosts were charming and everything went well. Nice Continental breakfast delivered with muesli, croissants, bread for toasting, fruit, yoghurt, oj. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Lovely quiet spot with lots of kangaroos and wallabies about. Air con in bedrooms as well as a sofa.

Only thing, it was a hot day and there is no air-conditioning in the lounge/kitchen area, but there is a fan. There is a lovely open fire in winter though.

Wow what a beautiful secluded location surrounded by bush and vineyards . The room had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. Then the breakfast basket arrived each morning which was so generous and fresh. Then in the evening we sat in the verandah enjoying the peace and quiet the perfect spot to enjoy some wine and cheese whilst listening to nature. Then if that’s not enough to entice you to this property there is also a pool which was warm and so enjoyable in early March as it is heated. This property is also walking distance to restaurant and a winery and a short drive to everything else the area has to offer.

The room was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Had everything we needed for our stay. Nerina & Alastair were very friendly & happy to have a chat. The beds were a little firm for me but that's a personal choice as I prefer a softer mattress. Amenities were sufficient. Breakfast was fantastic!! I knew we were getting breakfast but when Alastair showed up with a picnic basket with bread, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. it was very impressive & very yummy! Will definitely be staying here again!!

I actually can't say that there was anything I didn't like. It all met my expectations & my needs for the weekend with my friends.

The location was so central, we were never more than 15minutes from any of the locations we needed to be at over the three days and multiple events for a wedding we attended. The breakfast was a light continental style breakfast that catered to my gluten free needs 😊 We had the added bonus of a kangaroo and her Joey grazing for over an hour in front of our verandah for entertainment as we ate!

The bathroom vanity needs updating and the mirror could be much larger but it certainly met our needs.

The Carriages is in a beautiful location. It’s very quiet and peaceful where you can just sit inside or out enjoy a coffee and croissants in the morning while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Take a walk exploring the property and those around it. A 7min drive out for dinner and drinks or a 3 min walk for a wine with lunch. Or just stay in and use the facilities provided and have some family time afterwards. So much to do or nothing to do it all depends on you.

Kangaroos roaming freely between the vineyards was amazing to see! Nerina was very accommodating and provided us with food on an evening when we were not able to get food delivered after our day on the wine tour. The area and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning.

The mosquitoes on an evening were annoying, even with bug spray we could still hear them in our room on an evening. Also lots of dead bugs in the pool. Nothing that can really be done as it is to be expected by spending time in nature.

The surrounds were lovely. Ample parking. Everything was provided in the cottage - shower gel, tea, coffee, 1L of milk, cheese knifes, insect repellant and bug spray to name a few. Breakfast was ample for the two of us. Very comfortable beds, fluffy towels and extremely quiet. Wonderful location just off Broke Rd. I would highly recommend The Carriages for a short or longer stay.

I loved the country cottage feel of the place. Nerina was a lovely a personable host. From the test message before we stayed through to the personal delivery of the breakfast hamper each morning. There was a group of us, we were able to use the tennis courts, enjoy the amazing gardens. I will definitely be back

I was lucky enough to have a room with a fireplace, so lovely. With wood and utensils provided. My group were able to enjoy my fireplace as not all room have a fireplace. One suggestion if allowed would be to have an outside fire pit for all guests to enjoy. Having said that I will definitely be back as I love this place, the best in the hunter

Absolutely lovely place, quiet spacious room, clean and well-appointed. The room was fronted by a huge shared verandah, where a delightful picnic basket breakfast was delivered in the morning. The quiet property was filled with birdsong in the morning, and kangaroos were happy to wander across the lawn. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and all the usual hotel mechanisms handled without fuss. A great place to stay, and a very handy base for exploring the Hunter. Highly recommended.

Nothing at all to be negative about.

We had the best stay! Breakfast was delivered each morning right on time in a beautiful breakfast basket filled with everything you need to start your day. The location is perfect and close to everything, but you could honestly just spend most of the time on the property itself because it is beautiful, even just walking the grounds & seeing the wildlife. The open fire was such a romantic touch. The Carriages wine is also fantastic (we ended up buying more). It was such a lovely & relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back.
