The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. And a good size too. We benefited from the free room upgrade which included the ensuite bathroom. Parking is available onsite for a menial fee which was great. The location is amazing. Just a short stroll and you have a plethora of restaurants, specialty stores and supermarkets available.

Sadly it is a little noisy. Not the location itself, but due to rooms being off a common and extremely busy hallway, you are awake when the first person gets up in the morning.

Tastefully furnished. Lovely high ceilings as it is a converted Victorian terrace. Very convenient to public transport (light rail into town is a short walk down the street) and eateries. Great location midway between town and the beaches of Bondi, Coogee and Brontë.

A closed bin, rather than an open waste paper bin, would be appreciated in the bedroom as we had to out food scraps in our bin and I worried about vermin. Also, a recycling bin would be appreciated.

Great location very close to light rail, plenty of places to eat within a short walk. Room was very small but comfortable, shared bathroom was directly across from room. If you are checking in after hours, they will send you the check in details on the day of your arrival. This was not clear upon booking or providing late check in details, they asked for my email and then heard nothing so I called to clarify. Late check in is nice and easy once you have the information.

Water leaks all over the bathroom floor from the shower, they provide a bathmat but then there is minimal space to hang it in your room to dry. Perhaps a mop in the bathroom would help? A separate toilet to the shared bathroom would be ideal.

Great location in a beautiful leafy suburb. Close to light rail and bus. Short walking to local shops and cafes and we even walked to Coogee beach the first afternoon. Would recommend to anyone. Staff were friendly and very helpful with all our queries before and during our stay.

Due to the set up needing 2 rooms, while on the same floor, we were separated so sometimes we felt we might be disturbing others as we walked up and down between the room locations.

I was travelling to Sydney for an event at UNSW which was a short 10-minute walk away so location-wise this place was perfect. The rooms were quite clean (nicely decorated too) and some amenities were provided freely while others could be purchased. Check-in & check-out processes were smooth, and no functional issues with anything in the room.

Unfortunately, the rooms aren't very well sound-proofed; when staying in my room it was very easy to hear other guests coming in and out and going up and down the stairs, which can be quite annoying for those trying to get an early night's sleep or morning sleep in. The bathroom sink was also very small, which made water splash out very easily (though they did have a drain on the bathroom floor) but it wasn't even big enough to allow me to place the kettle they provided under the tap to fill up (had to use a glass to fill - which they did provide). In my room, there was also a distinct step-up to enter the bathroom which was not labelled very clearly and felt like a hazard.

The Alison Randwick is in a nice location near Randwick main street with many restaurants and shops, close to the south part of Centennial Park, and close to the university campus. The room is spacious, silent, and with a very comfortable bed. All appliances in the room are working perfectly and everything is very clean. Also the staff at the reception desk is very kind and helpful.

Everything is very nice, one thing that could be improved is the shower knobs: hot and cold water have separate knobs but the hot one gets burning hot very quickly, and it's kind of hard to regulate with the cold one (either super hot or gets cold very quickly). Lighting in the room was good with a big main light and one small light on the night table. However, a light directed to the sink/mirror area would be a big plus!

Proximity to transport ,The Alison was spotless, and the bed very comfortable.

The room was very small, but for an overnight or short stay quite acceptable. The only issue I had was the parking, I have a medium SUV and could not get into my allocated space with a car parked opposite. I parked in another space and the staff changed my allocation, to match where I parked. There seems to be free parking on surrounding streets, so that might be better option.

Loved how modern and sleek it is with the plants also.

On the main road and shared bathrooms. One of the staff were quite rude. It was around 8pm Sunday night, lady with short blonde hair. I was going to the front door to collect my Uber eats, I was staying on 2nd level. As I was walking down the stairs she shouted “are you Samantha” which I answered yes, and she said in a rude manner “you need to get your food, go to the door and get it”. Which I replied “yes that’s what I’m doing” and then she slammed her door. Wasn’t a very nice experience.

Clean rooms.

Rooms quite small. They need to include the code for the parking in the after hours arrival letter. Couldn't get into the parking and the after hours number that was provided didn't answer and never called back.

Staff were courteous and very helpful. Although the hotel's policy is to clean the guest rooms and changing the bath towels will be done every 2 days, the staff did not hesitate to do the cleaning and give us fresh bath towels whenever we requested.

The wash basin in the bathroom is very small. There is very little space to put our toiletries.
